Really bothered that there is no download card for the hi-res versions of these . Floyd , Zeppelin , Purple , even Paul McCartney have managed to offer download cards for anyone interested often as well as vinyl and for less cost.

I have purchased the item from WowHD, first time I’ve used them in many years but with the price at £53, this seemed a more reasonable price for a box set of reissued material.
I already have the previously released recent remasters (40th) as well as the new individual 2015 remasters @ £8 each. The only item in the box set I don’t have is the Re:Call CD.
I assume the live CD’s haven’t been remastered.
Amsterdam store Fame in MediaMarkt Amsterdam Centre is selling the set for 99.99 euros = 72 UK pound. And if you ask for their free discount card you even get 10% reduction.
thats a great price on wow, 76 euro to ireland, its 145 euro in hmv .Paul , have wow a good reputation before i buy?
Not really, although people are saying they are better now…
I wish amazon Canada had an option to pay the duty upfront like the US as i have just been hit with a £48 fee from UPS for the Bob Marley metal box. Just thankful it was a bargain to start with.

Great price, although I’ve personally found WOWHD a bit hit and miss.
I used WOWHD a lot previously but found occasionally I experienced long delays in receiving products so stopped using them. However, they seem to have changed a few months ago – don’t know if they were bought – and the service has been really good since then. I only buy products that they have in stock – no pre-orders.
While I thought this was definitely a good price for US residents (sorry, I had no idea about the import tax gouging), it still didn’t make me regret ordering the individual 2015 remasters and buying the Re:Call disc tracks on iTunes.
I’d buy the 2015 remastered CD’s separately – don’t really need the live stuff – but would miss out on the “Re-Call” CD’s – they’re not being released separately are they?
Paul@ I believe for US citizens it’s a fair price, obviously not a bargain…so keep on going with deal alerts in USA and Canada Amazon’s
amazon canada has it at approx $125 . This equates to £62.50 .The only problem is are you going to get hit with duty and vat? My experience is hit and miss but if you do, it wipes out any saving and adds some cost. Europe amazon is the only way really for anybody outside The America’s
Bowie’s back catalogue has been released so many times with different mastering and bonus tracks, you’d think record companies could give the fans a break and say “I know we’re releasing the same material over and over again so we’ll sell it to you at a reasonable price”
Ordering from the UK import tax and fees brings it up to the Amazon UK price – £86 last time I looked.
Charles: The Import Fees is a fairly new thing on Amazon. It’s a means whereby (in the UK at least) you pay your VAT on the goods.
It’s a bit swings and roundabouts: I buy a lot of R1 Blu-Rays and it was always a lottery – sometimes they’d get through customs without getting hit, sometimes not. But everything always took weeks and weeks to arrive.
Now you pay slightly less (no £8 handling fee per package from the post office) and your goods arrive within a week. I quite like that arrangement.
When I get parcels from Amazon US I’m happy with the up front import deposit because it means that I don’t pay the carrier£8-£20 extra for managing the transaction if HMRC apply it, my parcel doesn’t get retained by the carrier until I pay and if HMRC don’t apply the tax, I get a refund from Amazon. There is a delay with the refund – sometimes over a month, but overall its a smoother process than with other international transactions.
I live in SouthAmerica, so same problem that mentions Charles Hodgson.
I only buy at Amazon US, stuff less than 20 US$, othewise they start to charge me taxes that in fact I have never paid when I buy from Europe’s Amazon sites, even Bob Dylan Complete Basement tapes Box or the big beauty red box of his complete recordings…Zero tax :lol:

Yes, this is annoying. I regularly get asked why I don’t do more deal alerts for US and Canada, so this was my attempt to redress the balance!

It’s actually an extra CD Disc Union promo box with ‘the man who sold the world design on it’ – a ten cd wide drawer box, made to high Japanese standard. Nice thing, but hardly worth the vast difference in cost for an otherwise identical set.
I don’t understand the high price tag of this box. Other artists have released complete discographies for less than $50, so I’ll wait for that target.

The Bowie Box (10-CD box set comprising 5 x 2-CD sets of the albums Outside Earthling Hours Heathen & Reality) is a lot of value for a great price ;)
Mmm, took this through to the payment page and it came out considerably higher. I keep reading on here how US customers have VAT deducted from their orders from the UK. Seems they “add-on” fees when it’s the other way around!
