Level 42 / Live (CD+DVD)
Two-disc Level 42 set that combines a 2010 Inidg02 performance on CD, with a DVD of a 1992 gig at London’s Town and Country Club (as it was then called).
Would be great to follow up the lead on PM and list all tracks that both Wings and PM solo have never performed live- would make for interesting reading- does anyone have such a list- could be a challenge for Paul- keep up the good work-
That will be a long list. He’s his own worst enemy really. “My Brave Face” should have been a stalwart in the set lists since 1990 just like Live and Let Die and Jet. PM’s understanding of what his good output is (outside the obvious) continues to be non-existent. He mainly only plays stuff where he has some other validation that it’s good ie a massive hit – Beatles and Wings – or new-ish material which he has to promote (the reason why My Brave Face was played in 1990). There is a constant pattern of playing tracks from the ‘new’ album on the current tour and forgetting about them a tour or two later. Where is ‘Only Mama Knows’, ‘Jenny Wren’, ‘Dance Tonight’ etc.
I know little about the Killers or Brandon Flowers but does he not look like Bill Nelson on that cover picture?
Disappointed to see no mention of the limited edition clear double vinyl release of Stevie Nicks’ ‘Crystal Visions’ mentioned here……
