Stevie Nicks / 24 Karat Gold: Songs From The Vault
A collection of Stevie Nicks songs mainly written between written between 1969 and ’87 but recorded only last year in Nashville, with Dave Stewart and Waddy Wachtel in the producer’s seat.
Swing Out Sister / The Essential (new hits set)
A set aimed at “those who missed Swing Out Sister the first time around”, The Essential Swing Out Sister still contains a couple of rarities amongst the familiar hits, including an unreleased ‘Big Band’ version of Forever Blue.
Holly Johnson / Blast (2CD+DVD)
A reissue of the 2010 reissue. Holly Johnson‘s 1989 album Blast remains his most enjoyable post-Frankie work and this three-disc set – curated by the man himself – is hard to fault with an enormous amount of remixes and all the promos on DVD.
Apparently the whole Underworld catalog is to be re-released?
I’m just not keen on it full stop…
For anyone not keen on the £50+ price tag on the Underworld set, keep an eye on it…it did drop to circa £34 a couple of months back.
FYI, the Dream Academy compilation came out in the U.S. this summer, and it is excellent!
The Bryan Adams album is awful!
