Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo / 35th Anniversary Tour deluxe set
Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo will celebrate their longstanding personal and professional relationship with a 35th anniversary American tour and a 2CD+DVD live package.
The tour kicks off in California tomorrow and this new live album is released at the end of the month. It’s actually available in three formats: a three-disc 2CD+DVD combo (packaged in a six-panel digipack), an audio-only two-CD set or you can pick up just the DVD. In the USA the three-disc set is actually cheaper than the two-disc version. Go figure.
The track selection contains all the hits and includes an eight-minute version of Love is a Battlefield.
This 35th Anniversary Concert is released on 28 April 2015.

At least there is a one new song in it and it’s with heartbreaker and ring of fire
I saw their show when they came through town a couple of years ago.
Pat was fantastic but Giraldo was an ineffable twat. Like the whole show was about him. One of the most ridiculous displays of ego I’ve ever witnessed. It literally ruined the show. I don’t remember his name of the front covers of her albums back in the day. Why’s his name on the poster now? Class A douchebag.
With an ego as big as his (he even has to be in front on this album cover), how can he have let her keep using her ex-husband’s name? Shouldn’t he have made her change it from Benatar to Girardo, or Geraldo, or whatever the hell it is? He didn’t even write or produce her big hits. He CO-produced (which could mean he was simply there in the studio during recording) a few things. I will never buy any of her music with his name or image on the cover.
Yeah, one of the reasons I was curious about the track times is because she and Neil performed here a few months ago and I could have sworn the show was over two hours. But this isn’t even close to that.
I’m not complaining though. I love Pat.
BGO remastered the first ten Pat Benatar albums on five 2-fer CDs.
They stopped with Precious Time but never got to Get Nervous. I know BGO put out some two-fers (and they sound find) but that was some time ago.
Great setlist. But this is poor. Is she too old for 100 minutes? I expect something special for a 35th anniversary cd set. and remastered and expanded back catalogue would be welcome even if I already have all her cds partially remastered
For $14.88, I couldn’t pass it up! I saw them a few years ago, and it was a great show.
Don, you can see the lengths of each track on iTunes!
Thanks for that. Looks to be just under 80 minutes of music, but I’m glad they put it on 2CDs anyway.
Considering it’s quite cheap it’s a little bit academic whether it’s on one or two anyway. People would undoubtedly complain if they edited a song to squeeze it on one disc!
Totally agree with Jon here. I’d love their previous albums remastered and not another live album – they’ve been a few! I will get it though, as I love her voice.
Since there are only 14 tracks, I’m guessing “Love is a Battlefield” isn’t the only song to get the extended treatment. Otherwise it would be easy to fit this on a single CD, wouldn’t it?
Instead of another live album, they should have remastered and expanded her back catalog as they are in desperate need for remastering.
It’s BenAtar :)
Sorry. Remind me to go to be earlier, must need more sleep :) Fixed.
