Deal alert / Steve Winwood: Greatest Hits Live / two-CD set

A great deal – primarily directed at SDE friends in America – which gets you the forthcoming Steve Winwood Greatest Hits Live two-CD set for an incredibly low price!

The career-spanning package, which has been curated by Winwood himself (with tracks sourced from his own archive) is just $7.99 in the US. That equates to just over £6 and is less than half the UK price –  an absolute bargain! Hard not to buy it at that price.

It’s out on 1 September 2017!

Amazon’s sales strategy is very strange. I preordered the cd and auto rip copy only to find out today that it is free as part of the Amazon Prime category. This will dissuade me from preordering in the future. Can I have your thoughts?

Robert Paglia

It’s free to stream for Prime members. Listening to the online version while waiting for the CD to arrive, sounds great! Nice arrangements of the songs, definitely not just mere recreations of the studio versions. Sound like recent recordings, but can’t tell for sure.

+ 5% back for we that pay with an Amazon Visa card ! I had cancelled the vinyl at Music Direct a few days ago, in an effort to cut costs anyway. Thanks Paul !

Not impressed really. Unsure if he extends some of his tracks live but I’m guessing they are around 65 minutes each. The cover reminds me of Clapton’s I Still Do cover.

Where’s the Eric Prydz cover version? I liked that :/

Hi Bun,

you might check out this one;-)

Neil Kelly

Hmmm i think he was joking… Plus surely you’d be better off with the CD single…

What awful artwork! Surely a different design could have been thought up rather than what looks like a rush job with a shabby paintbrush and left over paint.

I’m surprised we haven’t yet had a comment asking “Paul, please can you find out why Valerie and Keep On Running are missing”

Don’t really care myself as I hate live recordings. The studio versions are so much better. This is just a re-recorded greatest hits.

I see what you did there! ;-)

Just ordered – fantastic deal !!

Very nice Paul – combined it with the Deluxe Edition of the new Waterboys for rather lovely free shipping for the day of release for both albums.

Much appreciated, even with the goofy cover, its worth a roll at $7.99

I would prefer a greatest hits as they were released as singles and heard on the radio and NOT boring live versions of them. I certainly have no interest in this collection.

Wayne Klein

Have you heard Steve love? I caught him last year with the same set list and no way was it boring!

Tom M Hans

Done. Finally US has a good deal. Ta!

It`ll go cheaper over hear.

Amazon Marketplace dealers will have it for £8.99 + £1.26 P&P within two weeks of release or I`m an imposter!

Over here also!

Wow, got it. Thx Paul!!

Surely the £5.60 delivery to the UK negates any saving. Unless I’m missing something? Great find otherwise.

Just looked at the US CD version. Total cost is £12 to ship to the UK (cheapest shipping option), so you only save 99p.
