Where the bloody eck is ‘Rattle and Hum’? Surely Bono and his lot aren’t still sulking about the backlash it received by some in 88? It deserves the deluxe reissue treatment and the 30th anniversary is as good a time as any… Studio tracks like ‘Desire’ and ‘Heartland’ were great. If the pompous stuff is taken out (the live versions of ‘Silver and Gold’ ‘Bullet The Blue Sky’ and the staggeringly pretentious versions of ‘All Along The Watchtower’ and ‘Helter Skelter’) and it’s a fine and enjoyable album.

I can’t afford this set right now, despite the generous price, but would like to help Bono out – does anyone have his address so I can send him a small cheque or a book token?

Epiphany man

All these boxsets are lovely things to have but I have come to the conclusion I don’t need more ‘stuff’ and have better and more worthwhile things to spend my hard earned moolah on.

Suspect you’re on the wrong website then :D

Don’t need more stuff? You could always cut down on food, lighting, petrol for the car, drinks…… :)
