    1. Thanks Oscar. Just took delivery of The Rolling Stones Tattoo You super deluxe edition (5cd version!) and Let It Bleed on vinyl. Effectively, with the 25% discount on both, Let It Bleed came for free compared to UK prices.

  1. Amazon UK has a couple of things

Iggy Pop – Bowie Years box set is down to £48

Buena Vista Social Club 2CD set is down to £12

David Bowie – Width Of A Circle 2CD has dropped to £13.99

  2. Amazon UK seem to have knocked £1-3 off a load of this year’s standard CD releases (e.g. Weller’s 1CD version of Fat Pop CD is down to £6.49, plus I noted that the latest stuff by St Vincent, Gruff Rhys, Teenage Fanclub, Bobby Gillespie & Jehnny Beth and the new Velvet Underground tribute album is down to between £8-9). Not great savings but if there’s a recent album you’re interested in, may be worth a look.

  3. It’s back again! The Mansun – Six 21st anniversary 3CD/DVD box set is £12 on Amazon UK.

It’s in the “Other sellers” list though, not the main listing.

Just remember to select the right packaging if you can. Some people have been getting battered copies because they’ve not been very well packaged by Amazon.

    1. “Not very well packaged” is putting it mildly. “No packaging whatsoever” is more accurate – address label on the shrink wrap. After complaining they refunded me, but I’d still rather have a nice copy for £12 (or even double that) than the battered copy I got for free.

  4. Steve Harley and Cockey Rebel-The Best Years of Our Lives (45th Anniversary) Edition only £12.74 on Amazon UK. This is the double album on Orange/Blue vinyl. Cracking album!

  5. On Amazon UK this morning:

The 2010 10CD John Lennon Signature box set is down to £66

The 4CD/DVD Rory Gallagher self-titled 50th Anniversary Box Set is down to £73

The (still a bit overpriced but perpetually expensive) Big Star – Complete Third 3CD box set has a couple of £ off and is down to £38

The Band’s Stage Fright (50th Anniversary) box set is back down to £83

  6. As well as price-matching HMV on most regular Beatles CDs at £7.99 (double/triple CD at £10.99), Amazon UK currently have the yellow-cover CD + single Blu-Ray edition of 1 for just £7.68. It’s via a third party but qualifies for free prime delivery.

  7. The Prince set is available for next day UK delivery so looks like it’s shipping from Scotland, so not as many worries re damage during international handling ! The deal didn’t last long before they sold out – people know a bargain when they see one.

  8. Did anyone manage to get the McCartney deal? Have you received it yet? My Amazon tracking says it is being delivered from FRANCE and is due tomorrow, a week after I Ordered it! Anyone else’s tracking say this? Cheers.

  9. Got the Prince deal at Amazon fr. Came in at £53.98, not bad at all. Amazon UK still have it on for £94.22, at time of writing. I know the pop market deal might’ve been a little cheaper? Didn’t want to take the chance on ordering from America again. Thanks for the heads up!

    1. I chose next day delivery for an extra 2 euros rather than wait a week & give them time to potentially cancel the order when they realise they’ve forgotten to geoblock it ! Lol. (It’s shipping from Scotland too so less chance of it being knocked around during international delivery.)

    1. I know you posted this 18 hours ago. I had ordered this before at that great price and I was telling a friend about it yesterday evening (25th) and he was at the popmarket site and they must’ve just sold the last one, as after he clicked on it, it said out of stock, and when he went back to the previous page, the box to click on was gone! Meanwhile, I just got mine in the mail about an hour ago and it is incredible! I can’t understand why it is so cheap unless Sony and The Prince Estate overestimated how many people would want this.

    2. Just received my $32 Prince Welcome 2 America box set today from Popmarket. Glad I jumped on this when it was posted earlier in the week. Extremely fast shipping also. Thanks once again to all of the SDE community.

  10. Super price on Bob Dylan’s 6CD More Blood More Tracks (Bootleg 14) box set on Amazon ES – it’s down to about £50 (€57.99), which is by far the cheapest I’ve seen it.

    1. Ordered, thanks. A bit concerned that this is still available, as I’d expect it to sell out quickly. Although I feel like Marr is too much of a genuinely decent person to pull a Van Morrison…

  11. There’s a really hard to find “10% off certain sellers at ebay” deal happening at the moment – code is BAG10NOW and it’s off anything over £20 (up to £50 discount).

    I’ve spotted some OK discounts

David Bowie’s upcoming Brilliant Adventures CD box set for £86 and vinyl for £337
    Caravan’s Decca/Deram Years box set for £59
The Band’s Music From The Big Pink 50th box set for £48
The Black Keys’ 4 disc El Camino 10th Anniversary set for £26
Metallica Blacklist 4CD tribute album for £22

Takes a lot of browsing around to find this stuff though. Sure there’s more in there and there may be better prices.

    1. tend to lurk on here, but this is a pretty good deal (well, super deal, but I live in the UK, so…). Works out £50ish to the UK, which is still the cheapest I’ve seen. Anyone know of any discount codes for Popmarket to make it a little more palatable :)

      1. Let us know how this goes getting stuff sent to the UK. They have the Sabbath Sabotage Super Deluxe for $31 (£39 incl taxes and shipping) so they have some decent prices to keep an eye on, providing the stuff arrives!

    2. Thanks for that! Ironically just last week I bought the 2-LP version on clear vinyl at Target for $21.98 – I rarely go there but I was in area getting my COVID booster shot. Oh, well, it’s Prince.

    3. Seems ironic (to me) that this is supposed to be a limited edition of 10,000! I got it from Amazon France for around £70, you can get another 15% off if you order 3 – great Christmas present. At this discounted price you could probably buy a blu-ray player and still have a bargain.

    4. Thanks for this — incredible deal. They also have a couple of promo codes until tomorrow (26 Oct): buy 2 in-stock items and GROOOVES10 gets you 10% off; buy 3 in-stock items and GROOVES15 gets you 15% off. With free shipping in the US, I grabbed a few titles from my wishlist at just about the best prices around.

They seem to be yet another storefront for the same stock represented at Import CDs and Deep Discount, but Popmarket was 50 cents cheaper than the “Blowout Bin” at Deep Discount on the Prince and didn’t charge the $3.99 “heavy item” surcharge.

  12. Unfortunately only for Dutch readers:
on amazon.nl the Sgt. Pepper superdeluxe box by the Beatles only for 61,99 euro.
Downside is that delivery isn’t until November 18th.

    1. Possible Solution: Go to Amazon Customer Service: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/contact-us?ref_=hp_ss_v3_cu_t4

Start a Chat. Choose one of the options (for you it would be something you ordered).

Now, it’ll list more automated responses, but don’t click on those, click on the Head icon at the bottom of the pane. This will get an actual person to chat with.

Once you have them, explain. They always refund me the difference, meaning I don’t have to send anything back. Worked for recently with the Black Sabbath box. Be polite, and they’re usually helpful.

      1. I can second that, the customer service side of Amazon is pretty good. I’m sure there’s a side of the staff that thinks Jeff Bezos makes enough money and they treat us like sh*te so we’re on the side of the consumer. Just speak to someone who is on your side.
Last year I bought the Supergrass Strange Ones box set from Amazon France. Unfortunately, 3 CD’s were duplicated so 3 CD’s were missing. Rather than return the box from the UK to France, I was told to send it to East Europe, I can’t remember which country.
It’s a pretty hefty box so quite expensive to return. Using google translate and online chat, I was able to explain that it wasn’t my fault 3 CD’s were missing and where I was asked to return it. I got a full refund for postage without an issue.

  13. The two cd version of Listen Without Prejudice is probably even better value at £4.50 on Amazon UK. It includes the Fantasy track (Nile Rodgers) that isn’t on the box set.

  14. The Who Sell Out super deluxe box is $80 on Amazon US right now. SDE price widget (on original announcement post) shows $73, but camel-camel-camel doesn’t show the price ever actually dipped that low.
I’m still waffling over whether to grab it or not – so many great releases right now!

    1. I did waver over this release as I thought that they would have a hard time bettering the 2xCD version, but they have, in spades! Buy! Buy! Buy! – you won’t be disappointed…

  15. My heart sank slightly when I saw the Faust cover on the “this week’s deals” but the pre-order price from Amazon was £142.00 so dodged a bullet there. Still hoping the price dips before due date on the Bowie set though.

    1. There are only 2000 worldwide so i don’t think the Faust price will drop significantly – Amazon got 10 more in stock last night & they sold in just under an hour. I bought the CD set too & that seems to be much harder to get – i got it from Amazon on Thursday & got number 985 of 1000

      1. I didn’t expect Faust would shift so fast I thought they were a bit too niche for the boxes to go so quickly. But I’m glad I pre-ordered back in June now. Though I still only ended up with 968 on the CD box and 1993 on the vinyl. I can see a reprint being in order. Hopefully this interest will allow for a post reunion box to be next up.

        1. I think there was a lot of FOMO with there only being 1000 & 2000 available worldwide (& i guess a sizeable chunk of those were allocated to their home country where they may be very slightly less niche).

    1. not available for shipment to UK .Is this another example of our global Britain
post brexit deal? i seem to remember you used to be able to shop Amazon on all its sites?
      Or am i wrong ?

      1. I ordered the cd set through Amazon back in a June and they took the money out of my account on the date of release and it never arrived. They say it was likely lost somewhere in transit – I was gutted and impossible to get on cd now unless you want to pay crazy money. They did reimburse me but reckon there is a postman somewhere who loves krautrock ha

        1. I only bought my CD set from Amazon UK on Thursday – they said it was due to be back in stock 31st October so i took a chance, but then they shipped it the same night & it arrived Friday with number 985/1000.
Yes your postman must love Krautrock (or as Amazon classify it – Free Jazz/Avant Garde Music)
