wish they would just release big generator on it’s own already. have all the original rhino releases which were pretty good and have gotten a few of the new blu ray versions which are awesome so really don’t think I can justify this set just for big generator (especially since the packaging is worse over all than the individual rhinos given the lack of the booklets).

You can buy it from CDJapan.co.jp.

I prefer not to pay import prices for things that shouldn’t be hard to get. also I presume the booklet would be in Japanese which would frustrate me to have it be the one atlantic yes album not in matching formats.

I have the album and the various remixes on vinyl but would be nice to get a domestic release.

Agree with Pete Wolf’s comment. Given several of these titles have since been given a real deluxe treatment at the hands of Steve Wilson – along with his surround sound mixes – the box is not really that great.

In other words, that’s cheap, but you get what you pay for.

[sarcastic]Yeah it’s unbelievable the originals even sold back in the days.
I mean, how could people buy these recordings back in the 70s and 80s before Steve Wilson gave them a deluxe treatment?[/sarcastic]
Sorry but your comment sounds snobby to me. You really think £2 per CD is “you get what you pay for”?
They must sound awfully terrible then.

elliott buckingham

think I payed £25 on release day from play.com

I came on this site to see if you had any information about the new Depeche Mode, and I see this article. Damn you and your deal alerts.

Cary Allen Wilson

I’ve almost bought this several times the past few weeks. Really needed a deal. But I missed it. Prices back up.

An excellent pick up for sure it’s tempting but with the recent deluxe editions of The Yes Album,
Fragile, Close To The Edge, Relayer & the soon to be released Tales, do i “Hold On” & it will be interesting to see if they continue the trend after Tales From Topographic Oceans.

Robert Atkin

Looking on the posting regarding Tales of etc on the 04/08/2016 on this site, it states no multi-track tapes available after this release so probably no further re-issues.

As far as i’m aware Tales will be the last deluxe edition as Steven Wilson isn’t doing anymore.

Mar Wolfgang

This offer had actually been there for more than a year, bought this box this summer.

Stan Butler

Good deal but to those who missed out, after delivery from Italy it’s only £8 more on the UK site. Considering what you’re getting and at less than £3 per album that’s still a very attractive offer.

After delivery to the UK that is?
Funny how you reason like all visitors here are from UK :)
Amazon UK doesn’t offer free postage to my country anymore so it gets even more expensive when ordering there.

Stan Butler

The clue was in the words “UK site”.

John Bommarito

I tried, but alas, like others, was too late. I appreciate you keeping your eyes open for these deals.

Too bad, already sold out :(

Oh well missed it — I need to be quicker.

Thank you for the alerts — they are great but my credit card sure takes a hammering!

These are reissues of the Rhino remasters from about 12 years ago, correct?

Ian B

They are; in faux Japanese cardboard sleeves and minus the slipcases (for Fragile, Close to the Edge, Tales from Topographic Oceans and Relayer) and booklets that came with the individual releases. No inner sleeves either, not even generic ones. But it included a poster at one time; might still, for all I know. As far as I can remember though, Rhino didn’t release a remastered Big Generator separately, the only way you can get it is in this set or as an individual Japanese import which probably costs more than the £22 that this is (was) going for. Might have been tempted to order this myself for £1.70 a disc, if I didn’t have all the individual releases already

Ian Whiteford

Thanks once again…. just ordered £26 delivered

Dave Gilmour's Cat

Thanks! Just ordered. Including postage came to £26, or just over £2 each. Bargain of the year??!
