Standing Room Only is a new three-CD Frank Sinatra deluxe set that presents a trio of rare and previously unreleased Sinatra concerts from the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s.

The audio for this set has been newly remixed by Larry Walsh at NBCUniversal Audio and mastered by Seth Foster at Universal Mastering Studios. It comes with a 30-page booklet with liner notes and rare photos.

I could hear a piano, laughing too, the clink of glasses…this was an epiphany for me, it was refined and smooth. The high notes of the flavour ‘shivered’ and continued to complement the mellow bass flavours too. Yes, very good thank you.
For Sinatra’s true fans, there is an unending fascination for his unreleased concerts, and I have gladly ordered this new set on Amazon. In terms of his vocal quality, the recordings and concert tapes from the mid 60s represent Sinatra at his absolute best; the Dismas House St. Louis Benefit concert, also commercially available, and his appearance at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, and at The Sands represent the best vocal power and melodic lines. By the mid 70s, there was obvious vocal deterioration, precipitated by age, and years of smoking and drinking. By the late 80s, Sinatra was still performing well, but there was a rough quality that was evident. Notwithstanding this, the concerts represented here are clearly worth the investment.
The Sands CD (as released now) has more songs, so this addition is a shorter set than the earlier. And truly avoid the patter tracks. They are awful. If The Main Event is indicative of this added 70’s show then I would pass on this as well.

Spot on R.
Let Me Start Again: Second retirement song written for The Chsirman also by Paul Anka, is worth the price all by itself. (Also a fan of
Paul Anka).
Love your work.
With the Count at the Sands it was the best of live performances and the casual breaks, the band rocks and so does the Chairman. Those were the best days of The Voice
Looking forward to get this collection
Senatra is my fav orate singer
He never got to be bigger than Jesus, though ;)
Looking forward to this. The released Sands concert is my favorite live Sinatra
Thanks Paul….ordered one immediately.
I believe the Sinatra/Basie at the Sands, unreleased recording was
included on the USB stick with the Jack Daniels – Sinatra Select
100th anniversary bottle.

Sinatra … bigger than Elvis (Presley, not Costello!)
Robert
Bigger than Elvis Costello, too!
