It seems that Astralwerks Records is reissuing Brian Eno’s Here Come The Warm Jets, Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy), and Before And After Science on 1LP editions this week. While that’s not super deluxe, it is evidently much, much super cheaper than the 2LP ones. They go for $17.06 at DeepDiscount.com and they will give you an additional 10% off with code FEAST on orders up to 11/16/2017! Free shipping over $25 in the USA. Don’t know if they ship internationally.

Clearly not a fan of Cliff..

Are there any pictures of the vinyl replica Japanese ‘mini-LP CDs’ ? And are you going to make an unboxing video about this release ?

Ok, I will be looking forward to see this video …

Assume you mean the Maccas. The mini-LPs aren’t out until December 13th. Saw the Capital card sleeve versions in HMV today (thought they were gonna be digipaks?) and they look well cheap compared to the Concord versions.

On another note, just listened to ELO Wembley or Bust on CD. Sounds absolutely dreadful and way too compressed. Also don’t like the applause being cut off between tracks. Took it off halfway through the second disc couldn’t take anymore.

I am surprised Green Day is not mentioned here. Are they not well known over there? They are from Berkeley California, near where I grew up. I met them many times back in the 80’s before they got famous. I know a few people related to them. Once they got famous everything changed of course. But I do remember going to the punk shows many times in the mid to late 80’s.

Green Day are very well known in the UK. Maybe Paul is not a fan!!

But not poor old Cliff?? ;)

Cliff’s compilation CD was released last week!

I pre ordered the Morrissey green vinyl with print plus the CD from HMV two months ago. I have just received a “partial shipment” email from them informing me the CD has been shipped. I have checked the order status online and the green vinyl plus print is showing “out of stock”. The green vinyl has just sold out online so that may be why the status is “out of stock”. But I have also pre ordered the Noel Gallagher white vinyl which has also sold out but the status is “released 24th November”. Why not “out of stock” here? Surely to goodness this doesn’t mean I’m not getting the Morrissey green vinyl. I ordered it in September when it was limited to 1000 prints (subsequently increased to 1500) and it was still available to order until about 2 days ago.

Can I just say thank you Paul .. you’ve (once again) provided music formats for us all – from vinyl to cds to surround sound sets .. glad you’re doing this. It’s just great to see what’s out there ..

Excellent site .. with very detailed information .. many thanks

Also out this week on the 17th of November is the final album by Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, “Soul Of A Woman”: https://shopdaptonerecords.com/collections/sharon-jones/products/pre-order-sharon-jones-the-dap-kings-soul-of-a-woman?variant=2702726103068 – Sharon died from pancreatic cancer in 2016. In my opinion, the greatest soul band of the 21st century.

Ben Adams

Days of Future Passed is also getting its original mix reissued on LP this week.

The McCartney reissues are also available on black vinyl, and at prices from $14.29 to $16.99 apiece pre-ordered from Amazon US.

Regarding ELO no 5.1 mix no sale i’m afraid. Does anybody know what’s up with Amazon UK using huge cover art taking up most of the page ?

Paul Soper

As much as I love 5.1, I’m not overly bothered if there’s no 5.1 mix. Surround mixes for live concerts tent to be lacking with just crowd noise in the rears.

If there is no 5.1, I wouldn’t let it stop your enjoyment of what looks to be a fantastic concert.

Darren Briscoe

Paul I think the pricing on Amazon USA is wrong on the Morrissey vinyl….$179 is excessive. I pre-ordered at a reasonable $22.95!

Also out this week is a new Green Day Greatest Hits, God’s Favourite Band. Good tracklisting and a bit of effort put in on the cover.

And Cliff Richard Stronger Thru The Years. Looks like some sort of Love Songs compliation so not just the usual collection of hits.

What’s up Paul ? No love for Green Day or Cliff??

Michael Fortin

I’ll be getting the Green Day compilation as well. For around $10 you can’t go wrong and it covers their entire career plus a couple of new songs.

Can’t wait for News of the World! Seen the “Frank” unboxing video which is amazing – shame I’m away with work until late Friday night…….:(
