Phil Collins / The Singles 2LP vinyl

A further variant of Phil CollinsThe Singles will be issued in June.

In late 2016 three formats were issued: 33-track two-CD and 4LP vinyl packages and a 45-track three-CD set. A new double vinyl offering includes a lean 20 hit singles and gives us a new front cover with a green hue.

This double album version of The Singles is scheduled for 8 June 2018.

Anyone having problems with this one. Its been sticking on Two Hearts. I don’t think the vinyl has been pressed properly.

12″ Singles REMASTERED!

Looking forward to having some Phil Collins on vinyl again. A good exclusive.

Phil Morris

“Exclusive”? I don’t understand.

Its because this version is exclusive to vinyl and not on CD unlike the 33 track version.

Seems pointless – how many versions of this can they issue?!

this is for the general audience,
while the 4LP box is for the harcore fans,

I’m a hardcore fan and surprisingly I prefer this one,
all killers no fillers

Where is “Take Me Home”? That’s maybe my favorite Phil Collins song, it’s hard to choose, but I would not want this without that song on there. (I already have the 3-CD so I’m good)

Seems strange that “I Don’t Care Anymore” is missing; ever from the 4 lp version. Was a fairly big hit in the US; still hear it occasionally on the radio.

William Peplow

The 4 LP version looks like a good selection.

Black vinyl? Fail! Otherwise, would have been an essential purchase.

I know, right?!

Ian McJannet

Definitely agree about the omission of ‘If Leaving Me Is Easy’
Absolute heresy not to include this fabulous track !!!!

As a casual fan, If take me home and lose my number we’re on it I may be tempted but without those and a few duds I’ll just give it a miss and not prepared to stretch to £60 for the 4 lp edition

Chris Squires

If you time it right and are vigilant you can pick up the 4LP set for much less. I ordered my first copy in advance for £50.99 and a second copy from Am.DE for £19.90 delivered last September.

This 2lP set does seem a bit pointless tbh. The 4LP set covers all bases.

William Peplow

They are on the 4 LP version.

Phil Morris

This is somewhat bemusing. Is there really a market for this? Avid collectors will already have picked up the four disc set and – despite being one of those avid collectors myself – I have no intention of getting this. So there’s an audience missed. So who will buy it?

Probably aimed at Father’s Day given the release date, and the birthday/christmas present market thereafter.

Steven Roberts

Decent enough comp, but absolutely UNFORGIVEABLE that ‘If Leaving Me Is Easy’ is not on there….it’s the best thing he ever did as a solo artist!!!

Phil Morris

It’s on the “full” version. In line with my earlier comment, I cannot see that this edition is going to please anyone.
