PJ Harvey / The Peel Sessions

The reissue series continues

PJ Harvey‘s sessions with the late Radio 1 DJ John Peel will be reissued on vinyl next month.

The 12-track collection spans 1991-2004 and was originally issued on vinyl and CD back in 2006. As with the recent studio album reissues, this is only coming out again on vinyl and like those other packages, this single vinyl LP was cut by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering. The presentation will be consistent with the original.

The Peel Sessions 1991-2004 will be released on 28 May 2021.

I wish the Pulp Peel Sessions had been put out on vinyl.
Also isn’t on Spotify anymore.

Paul Wren

Near mint copies of the 2006 vinyl release are about £100 now so this new reissue is a welcome opportunity to acquire it. Presumably no free poster that some of the 2006 versions had.

I guess a full BBC Sessions set remains a pipe dream for now. Ah well.

Alan Blevin

Reading through the Uncut PJ Music Guide there is a huge amount of BBC recordings that would make a great box set.

Was really hoping there would be a CD re-issue that included “Primed and Ticking” on it. I don’t understand why that was cut from the original release.

Yes please!
