Love Unlimited Orchestra / The 20th Century Records Albums 1973-1979

7CD box set of remastered albums + selected vinyl reissues

Barry White‘s Love Unlimited Orchestra‘s seven albums have been remastered and are to be reissued as The 20th Century Records Albums 1973-1979, a new seven-CD box set.

The Love Unlimited Orchestra was a 40-piece ensemble conducted by Barry White himself and their biggest single was 1973’s ‘Love’s Theme’, a US number one and UK top ten hit.

The seven albums are collected together here for the first time ever and all of them been remastered from the original analogue master tapes and are presented with their original sleeve and label art.

Three of these albums get new vinyl reissues (Rhapsody In White, White Gold and My Suite Summer Sweet) along with two albums by Love Unlimited, the female vocal trio produced by Barry White.

The 20th Century Records Albums 1973-1979 CD box and the vinyl records are released on 29 March 2019.

Thanks for another much appreciated heads-up, Paul. I’m sorry to say I never knew Barry White was involved with such as this until recently.

Love Unlimited intrigue me as well. Now, to read some more about Paul McCartney’s Egypt Station!

I ordered this…was kinda inspired to do so cuz I recently acquired colleections by the similar-in-approach Philly International act MFSB and girlgroup the Three Degrees…I wonder if there will be a Love Unlimited box as well…or if they cross labels too much, CD reissues cuz the prices now for a CD of “In Heat” is just ridiculous…I will eventually get the BW albums box and 3CD singles set too…he was a genius no doubt…

Hopefully before long all the post 20th Century BW and LUO albums will also get a release.

Nice match to the other Barry White set. Although I wonder if maybe that one underperformed on vinyl, seeing as how they’re only doing a la carte for a handful of these.

Great release! Would love to also have Love Unlimited “In Heat” on cd. A terribly degrading album title but a good album nonetheless.

7 remastered CDs for 31 Euros in France?? Bargin!

Brits ripped off again £32.68. Hoping this will be reduced over the next few weeks
