As previously reported a new SDE-curated Sam Brown box set The A&M Years 1988-1990 will be issued by Caroline International in December. Check out this new promotional video for this exciting new box set (below).

Fans on the Sam Brown mailing list will alerted first about availability of signed copies, so make sure you sign up by adding your email address to the box below or clicking this link and following instructions (you will get a confirmation email, so do check spam folder if you can’t find it).
In a new development, all versions (signed and unsigned) of this box will be EXCLUSIVE to ShopSuperDeluxe.com for a few months. A wider release will follow in 2017 but until then the ONLY way to get your copy before Christmas is just pre-order from ShopSuperDeluxe.com where shipping will start on 9 December 2016.

Finally ordered my copy. Should bring back some good memories !
This is very attractive since it was difficult to get all of the singles back in the day. I did manage to buy the Japanese laserdisc so the DVD won’t be new, but most of those B-sides will be most welcome in the old Record Cell.
The DVD includes footage not on the laserdisc.

That’s impressive that the price of the Signed Edition doesn’t carry a premium, we’ve all seen in the past how some artists/labels can take advantage of a signed items as an excuse to bump up the price of their products.

Just got the Stop! cd-single dusted off… and are now re-enjoying her beautiful voice. I hope that this box set will do fine and that more are in the pipeline.
Discs are very stylish design I must say. Like that a lot. It looks a bigger box or different shape than the TFF/SM SDE’s. Is it?
The box is clamshell – similar to the Ultravox one from earlier this year.

Curious to see if the box will contain ALL the b-sides and single edits/mixes released the first time around – or if some tracks will fall foul of the dreaded ‘artist involvement’.

No yet. It will be available when the box is up for pre-order (hopefully tomorrow). Everyone on the mailing list will get the email. I will obviously advise on SDE shortly afterwards.
Can you work with Amazon to get their deals on overseas postage rates..? :-)
Unlike big vinyl boxes, postage shouldn’t be too bad for this…
