The video for David Bowie‘s new ‘single’, Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime) has been made available. This track features on his new greatest hits collection Nothing Has Changed which is released next week.
The video is actually the short single edit which is only available on CD on a special Japanese one-CD edition of the collection. Most territories get a two-CD and a three CD edition as well as the two-LP double vinyl all of which contain a full length seven-minute version of the song.

Everyone has been so kind about “Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)”. I don’t see why I should stop such trend. I agree if a single, only a handful for the absolute die hard collectors.
A cross between Scott Walker, Berthold Brecht and er, David Bowie. Great stuff; it’ll probably sell about 4 copies.
Great video: more big bands should follow that! I think that both of the new songs are more (“kind of”) like musical statments than best of material – filling out genres Bowie hasn’t tried before. (A Foggy Day In London with Badalamenti was traditionally orchestrated and jazzy entertainment cut, the new Sue is a contemporary big band arrangement with European timbre). Great, hi-quality music anyway. Love the sketch-quality of ‘Tis Pity and would definitely listen to full lenght Bowie / Maria Schneider Orchestra album.
The video reminds me of the Absolute Beginners one. The song is definitely a marmite track.
nice video but i think the other new bowie song (“tis a pity she was a whore”), which features on the vinyl flipside would have been the far better choice for inclusion on this greatest hits album. i just can’t get myself to warm to this jazzy side of bowie…
