This box is glorious by the way. But anybody else noticed that when you put them in your CD player, the disks come up labelled “Answers To The Dream”? I wonder when they decided to change the title…
Mig, I was wondering the same thing. I’ve searched around and can’t fins any reference anywhere to that having been the original title.
I cannot wait to receive mine. An early Father’s Day gift. Yes is and will always be one of my premier all time favorite prog bands as are Genesis and Jethro Tull. The musicianship of Howe, Wakeman, White and Squire plus the esoteric lyrics and angelic voice of one Jon Anderson make this a truly unique ensemble that I don’t think we shall ever see again unfortunately. Jon really needs to be back in the fold all due respect to the new vocalists.

Amen to all the positive comments. These releases are so welcome by those of us who not only loved this band from this era but the genre itself. It’s the next best thing to experiencing shows many of us wished we could’ve attended in person…unless there’s full video coming from some of these shows too! And to say that Yes weren’t in the “same league” as King Crimson in terms of improvisation is one of those who cares?/throwaway bits.
I’m a huge Yes fan and while the initial announcement excited me I pre ordered the 2 disc. When I saw a price drop in the 14 disc the differential was worth switching and I have to admit I’m glad I did.
Even after a single listen each show has its quirks and merits. The sound quality is superb and the packaging luxurious.

I just received the 3 LP highlights today, I have 3 albums but no booklet.
I see that the 2 CD set has a booklet, did anyone else not get a booklet in the vinyl edition?
Thomas, there is no booklet in the vinyl edition. I was surprised to. Both cd editions do have the booklet . The booklet in the 14cd box is more expanded than in the highlights version.

Not a big fan of Yes, but I envy those who are as they are getting a well put together package. Certainly looks better than the Peter Gabriel every show box from last year.
I’d quite like to see a similar “24 nights” set from Eric Clapton at the Albert Hall. The beeb broadcast a blues night and an orchestral night live in full.
It was with one of his best bands, and the blues nights in particular had some great guests.
There’s been a mislabeling, at least on sets distributed in the U.S.A., in that the discs labeled as containing the Athens, Georgia show actually contain the Knoxville, Tennessee show, and the discs labeled as containing the Knoxville, Tennessee show actually contain the Athens, Georgia show. No music is missing from the boxed set, but it just shows how far quality control has plummeted in the music industry.
The Japanese 14-disc box set features SHM-CD format, includes six pictures featuring Yes visiting Japan in 1973 (as Japan-only bonus), and comes with lyrics.
Re the Japanese set, I hope the English lyrics are better transcribed than how they were done in decades past. Although Jon Anderson’s early lyrics might make more sense if they were muddled up!
I purchased the highlights yesterday. The music is fantastic, the label attached to the packaging misleading. “Over 2 hours of Pristine Performance”. The total playing time of the double CD is actually only 1 hour 37 minutes. Who can’t tell the time at Warner Music?
I massively support releases such as this. Just look at it, beautiful. Not heard the music yet, of course, but this complete type of release is fantastic.
So will mine also arrive damaged?

The CD box set represents great value for money. I’ve gone for the triple vinyl set which I managed to pre-order for just £19 all in from SpinCDS in Newcastle a couple of months ago.
The success of the King Crimson boxes has maybe spurred on others to release complete performances from the archives. Though Yes were not in the same league as King Crimson as regards improvisation, there should be enough disparity in performance here to make the box an interesting listen. Maybe for completists, but mine is on its way and I hope there will be more like this in the pipeline.
