    Notice that on eBay, the Blackstar Clear Vinyl + 3 lithographics is selling for over £400, limited to 5000 globally and apparently all gone, obviously to eBay.

  9. Received my ABBA box set as well today. Was in back order when ordered but received it and paid the promo price of €32 (plus about €6 in shipping costs).

  12. Ordered the Abba box for a bargain , and it arrived yesterday. I was looking at the Vinyl box to complete my existing Bowie collection (over 40 items) but at 260 Euro normal price I thought it was too expensive. At 160 Euro shipped to Belgium ! yeah ! ordered !

  13. I received the Wall immersion set from the UK site and Abba box set from the Italy site at the deal prices with no issues so it’s always worth ordering even if the items are currently ” Out of stock “

  14. Just a little alert to all. You can order on an iPad – you can do the automatic translation thing on there too. Install the Bing app for the App Store, go to whatever page you want to translate and hit the share button at the top right. Then scroll along to the Bing icon and tap it. Hey presto. The page is automatically translated for you.

    As for the Bowie set my partner said no and put her foot down :( enjoy all those who do get it. It looks a lovely set.

  23. Great price, but I’m sceptical. I ordered The Wall Immersion Edition when that was very cheap on Amazon UK recently (as alerted by SDE). After ten days, Amazon simply cancelled the order. I’ve just ordered the Five Years set more in hope than expectation (it will be a nice accompaniment to the CD set I’ve already got).

    1. It has actually been this price before on Amazon Italy. It’s been up and down a bit but this is within the normal range of their pricing, so my gut says it’s not going to be an issue.

    2. I too ordered The Wall Immersion Edition after Paul’s alert (17/12?), except Amazon hasn’t cancelled my order (yet!).

      Maybe it’s luck, seeing as my Abba box order arrived last Friday… :-)

    I’d been to-ing and fro-ing about this for a while, waiting for a decent reduction and here it is!

    Strangely, I had been toying with the idea of building up my Bowie vinyl collection as I awaited Blackstar, happy to pick up original copies from Discogs or 2nd hand stores. However, after the events on Monday, I didn’t feel like looking until last night, and the prices on Discogs have seemingly gone insane! I’m not sure if it is because of his death, or whether prices were always that high, but £100-£500 for an un-rare, original or re-pressing in VG condition of one of these albums in this box is just bonkers, making this box set very good value for money for those looking to do the same as me.

    Did I see/hear that there will be follow up boxes released of similar spec?

    Anyway, my credit card thanks you! LOL

    1. Hi Rob. Yes this is the first in a ‘series’ of boxes. Hopefully we’ll get another later this year. Also, I’m sure those prices will calm down.

  26. Nice one, Paul…I’ve been after this for a while.. albeit, it does seem bittersweet to be ordering it, at this time…

    BTW, I got my SDE alert ABBA LP box from amazon.it in superfast time. Nobody should be worried about ordering from amazon’s Italian site.

  27. If its like the ABBA boxset on amazon.it ordered it payment was going through, they cancelled order. Beware! Not for the first time Amazon (any region) have not honoured an order.

    2. I ordered mine right after I received the deal alert, it has arrived today – Brilliant – Much better packaging that Amazon UK for box sets. I ordered the Smith Complete from Amazon UK they put it in a box with a couple of bits of paper to stop it bouncing around, this did not work. I complained to them and told them to pack better but kept sending it poorly packaged, damaging the corners, seal etc. They even sent me a damaged one back that I had already returned. I never received an undamaged box and don’t now have this. They even threatened to cancel my account because of excessive returns. The package from Italy was in a good size box with proper foam protection. Thanks Paul and Amazon.it
