More Velvet Underground coloured vinyl
To complete SDE’s coverage of those Velvet Underground coloured vinyl seven-inch records (exclusively from retailer FNAC) here are some more photos of the second 45, Head Held High/Train Round The Bend.
Like the Sweet Jane/Rock & Roll 45, Head Held High/Train Round The Bend comes in bright coloured vinyl, this time yellow rather than pink. Again, it boasts an inner sleeve and since this particular single was a French-only the original Cotillion label is recreated nicely.
Both seven-inch vinyl records are totally exclusive to FNAC and are available now while stocks last. Some can be found on sale at the Velvet Underground exhibition in the Philharmonie de Paris.

Puts me in mind of the 7inch single ‘Banana Splits” by The Dickies back in 1979 when I was just 14 as I remember that being bright yellow and a good fun punk track too.
Indeed no stickers. Mine cam today. Wonderful recreation.
Hmmmmmm…. about US$40 total for both to the USA…. count this fool’s money as parted! I couldn’t resist.
Hmm, a fool and his money …
OK, thanks Paul
Being slightly pathetic here, but do you have any pictures of the stickers?
No stickers on these ones, I think that’s just from the exhibition itself
Yes, the 2×7″ ordered on Fnac.com did get any stickers ( although Fnac own stickers were advertised on their listing ! ), I didn’t check in Fnac stores in Paris, but i guess it should be the same. The Bowie 7″ printed for the Bowie Is exhibition I bought in Fnac stores didn’t had any Fnac sticker either.
So, if you want VU 7″ with the exhibition stickers, you should buy them at the “book store” next to the exhibition place, they are priced 15€ each.
