Win a Paul McCartney Live In Los Angeles CDEarlier today we reported that premium members of Paul McCartney‘s website have been offered a free download of 14 tracks from his 2007 gig in Amoeba Records.

However we don’t want non-premium members to miss out on the fun, so we are giving away the 12-track CD version of this release that was available for one day only via a newspaper in the UK and Ireland.

  4. Being a Macca NUT in a ‘Lennon is King’ world ain’t always easy! Don’t get me wrong, i love them both profusely but Paul’s prodigious output of music is simply breathtaking. And by getting to include such a hard-to-find disc in my personal McCartney collection, would indeed make my birthday oh-so-incredibly-special! Keep up the GREAT work Super Deluxe! You guys ROCK!!!

  5. I need to get me some more Macca – Got all the Lennon solo stuff, some George and Ringo, but very little Macca. This may kick start the begining of a new collection!!

  6. I love him, he’s been my inspiration to make a effort to recover from my sickness. I’d like to have this CD to add it to my collection. It would be my best christmas gift.

  8. I am a big McCartney fan . I saw him a couple of years ago in Pittsburgh. I was amazed at how he switched from one instrument to another and played almost 3 hours with no break ! I cannot wait for WINGS OVER AMERICA to be reissued.

  26. I’ve been a fan of Paul’s and The Beatles since I was 12. I also used to live in LA and shopped and saw shows at Amoeba all the time, unfortunately I moved from LA back in 2005 so I missed this show. I’d love to experience it as best I can as if I were there and winning this prize would help. :)

  32. I’d really love to win this one. I grew up with The Beatles thanks to my mother (RIP), of course Paul was her favorite and Blackbird was her favorite song. Some of my best memories are from being a child and discovering her records.

  36. My first date with the young lady who I would eventually marry was a McCartney concert (New World tour, 1993). The CD would be a great addition to the other McCa/Wings items I have. Nice item!

  39. YAY! Yet another great contest. As a US resident (and avid shopper at Amoeba Music) I wasn’t even aware of the one day release of the 12-track CD in the UK/Ireland. (I wish newspapers here would do stuff like that!) Would be nice to own. :)

  40. I’d love to have this because I simply adore Paul’s music and haven’t heard this set, which seems like blasphemy to me. They are kind of like fingerprints.

  41. This is a great way to hear the songs, just like in any small venue: the energy is pure and palpable, not over-theatrical the way things get in arenas and stadiums.

  51. I’d love to win because I grew up listening to McCartney and Wings before I even knew he was a Beatle. He’s always been my favorite artist and I would love love love to have this cd as I would play it often.

  52. Been a Beatles and McCartney fan since before I went to school. First single bought for me – Wings “Mull of Kintyre”. First single I bought myself, Paul McCartney “Take It Away”. Signs of Macca devotion: I have the singles of “We All Stand Together” and “Spies Like Us” and all the official CDs and am beginning on the latest deluxe remasters. The live album might help erase the memory of Macca live on TV this summer (the Queen’s bash and Olympics)!

  69. I saw this 12 track version in a record store one day and didn’t know it was a special version so I didn’t buy it. When I went back to buy it, it was gone and only the 4 track version remained! I’ve been looking for it ever since, so it would be awesome to win one now! MACCA!!
