  1. Great album – I bought this the day it came out on CD (with the silver embossed lettering on the case)….I was going through a particularly bad time personally but this record helped me through it.

  2. I saw the band a few years ago at the Sziget Festival in Budapest and it was fantastic. I was very lucky to have a chance to meet Nicky at the backstage. He was great!!

  3. Im in for this treat, I’ve always loved Manics and I don’t yet have this anniversary-edition in my collection. Thanks for the competition Paul.

  4. Hello , i m french but i love manic street preachers and it s impossible for me to buy CD in france . I want to win deluxe cd ! Please

  5. I’ve discovered this album through the rerelease. When the album originally came out the singles were on the radio all the time which put me off ever buying a copy. I bought a vinyl copy just before the reissue was announced. I’d love a copy. The cover photo is better on the reissue!!

  6. This album has always been a bittersweet experience for me, because I was listening to it a lot at the time of my father’s death just before Christmas ’98. Especially after the disappearance of Richey Edwards and with the release of ‘Everything Must Go’ there was always this ‘inner strength against adversity’ element to the music of the Manics, and that brought me a certain solace after my father passed. That’s the ‘sweet’ part of the mix. On the other hand it was the better part of fifteen years before I could listen to ‘This is My Truth…’ and not feel a pretty overwhelming wave of nostalgia in the literal sense, and that’s the ‘bitter’ part. But hey, any music with that kind of impact has got to be good for the soul…

  7. Wow, I can remember the buzz when this album came out. I bought it on the day of release. Although not as dynamic as the earlier albums, still a really good set. I can’t believe it is 20 years old. Just after this came out I bought the first three, after only having EMG at that point.

Done all three things above, I hope I win.
