The Seeds of Love (Ltd. Super Dlx. 4CD+Blu-ray Audio) < 39,- EUR…https://amzn.to/3vEsnHR
My amazon.fr purchase of YES
/
Union 30 Live
just got cancelled …
Motorhead is £50 now
Was tempted by the ‘Yes’ set but so far my experiences with Amazon in the EU is 50/50. 50% of the orders I’ve had from Amazon France/Italy have been badly packed/damaged etc.
Two of them from Amazon France we’re actually shipped to me from an Amazon warehouse in Scotland – but when it came to returning I had to ship them to Amazon in Lithuania at my own expense then wait for them to refund the shipping when they received & approved the return (and they had a €7 cap on the return shipping they would refund & I imagine if the Yes set arrived damaged it would cost me more than €7 to ship back to Lithuania & I’d be out of pocket on shipping) so I’m conflicted on whether to chance it or not.
I’m tempted with the Soft Cell box, but I seem to remember there was an issue with it. Wasn’t the Blu Ray damaged or something? Shame there’s not an easy way to tell whether or not you’re getting a “fixed” one.
I seem to remember replacement DVDs needed to be issued but I don’t remember the detail. I’m tempted at that price but have the same reservation
The original DVD was bad, label blamed the packagers but it was clearly badly authored. They replaced the DVDs free of charge with proof of purchase. One would assume that if these are second or later pressings the DVD would have been corrected.
Also beware that, despite the great track selection, the CDs are brickwalled and hard to listen to at higher volumes.
Amazon are offering copies of Tears For Fears’ The Seeds of Love for £44.14 at the moment – how long for is anyone’s guess! https://amzn.to/2RRQCmJ
Good price but its an AmazonEU item so be prepared to return it to Slovakia at your expense and wait indefinitely for a refund (not that I’m bitter from personal experience ..)
Trees 50th Anniversary Box Set is back in stock at Amazon UK for £25.22. This seemed to sell out and disappear almost instantly, but has either been repressed or they have found some.
Grabbed, thanks mate.
Excellent info, good price too. It’s a repress accoring to the official website.
Not massive savings but a few things are as cheap as I’ve seen them for a while on Amazon UK
Rolling Stones – Totally Stripped 4Blu Ray/CD – £33
Fleetwood Mac – Live (Super Deluxe) – £55
Iggy Pop – Bowie Years – £48 (first time I’ve seen this one drop below £53 in about 6 months).
Great posthumous album by Linda McCartney compiled by Paul now on vinyl for £9 at amazon UK.
https://amzn.to/3eNk9Ha
Young Shakespeare down to £37.09 on Amazon UK
Amazon UK has the Peter Green 2 x cd and Blu-ray back on at £10. They had it on at the same time last Saturday morning, so there must be some pattern on when they promote items.
Celebrate the Music of Peter Green and the Early Years of Fleetwood Mac https://amzn.to/3eORdPe
Not sure that deal actually ever went away… it does have the 1 to 2 months delivery schedule which is never a good sign. Doesn’t mean they won’t fulfil of course.
The price did go back up last week, but yeah, I didn’t notice the 1 to 2 months delivery. My copy arrived last Sunday before it went out of stock.
Hi. I ordered a copy on 8th May at the £10 deal price and was expecting to wait on a May 27 – July 4th arrival date.
I received an email last night saying the arrival date is brought forward to May 18 – May 20th. So I’d say go ahead and bag one if the delay was putting you off. God bless Peter Green.
Cheers Quante – I think it’s only the 2 CD version, but I’m not fussed about the DVD anyway. Missed out last time but bagged one this morning.
To confirm ,as Paul has said previously in these comments “It was the 2CD+blu-ray for £10. 100 percent “.
The lowest I see it is £18.95
Neil Young Greendale Deluxe down (again) from £80 to £54 on Amazon UK (it was £43 back at the beginning of April so may pay to wait & see if it drops back down even further to the April price)
Hi Paul, I’ve noticed a few of my comments haven’t posted. Today is another example. I posted something 6 hours ago and it’s not posted, yet a more recent comment by another SDE reader has. Is there a bug in the system or am I doing something wrong? Some HAVE posted, but some never have. Love the website though. Anyway….. Fleetwood Mac Live SDE dropping in increments on Amazon UK. Currently £60.46 (10.40pm on 14th May). May drop further if the algorithm doesn’t spot the interest in it! https://amzn.to/3bv8OJN
The Peter Green deal is still on via Amazon. It says delivery in 1-2 months , the same as when I ordered , but on my order 2 days later they updated the delivery to 2 days – they have more new stock coming in the next few weeks so you shouldn’t have to actually wait 1-2 months !
Just had a butcher’s at amazon and the bowie deal is still on. Albeit there’s no stock until 12 June, but you can still order for 81 quid
And now it’s gone.
The 2012 LP by Public Image ltd ‘This Is PiL’ is £7.99 on Amazon UK – 2 X Vinyl, gatefold sleeve.
Way Down in the Rust Bucket, 4 LP set is down to £45
https://amzn.to/3w4HrOz
A Certain Ratio ACR:BOX is currently only €17 on Amazon.de
Bagged, thank you Jlmr!!
For anybody interested in Gary Kemp – the forthcoming record in clear vinyl and signed (hopefully not by autopen) has emerged on Hmv.com for £24.99. Only the black vinyl version was previously available as signed from Gary’s store
Amazon UK has the David Bowie , Who Can I Be Now CD box set for £80.
This Young Shakespeare deal has really scuppered me. I had it all worked out; carefully avoiding the disaster that is the UK Greedy Hand store, I went straight to the US store and bought the stand-alone dvd of both Young Shakespeare and Way Down in the Rust Bucket as soon as they were released.
I figured if they proved to be good as Shakey says they are then I’d go back (to the US store) and buy the Cd versions and have hi-res download copies thrown in too! All for considerably less than the cost of the box sets. But, with the box down to £38 I have succumbed to buying the box set anyway, which leaves me with a spare Young Shakespeare dvd! So, if anyone the UK side of the Atlantic wants it at cost price (plus postage) without the trauma of dealing with The Greedy Hand Uk then I’m happy to oblige. Perhaps Paul can broker a not-for-profit record exchange section as part of the new look website!
In my opinion, Young Shakespeare is fascinating to watch as a performance of a singer-songwriter at his peak and mere months away from “achieving” global stardom for his work, BUT I have to say seeing the Rust Bucket performance on dvd as well as hearing it is an AWESOME experience, and if THAT box set drops to anything like £38 I’ll be in for it like a shot, and to hell once again with my original cunning plan!
Or you could just buy from the UK Greedy Hand Store like I did. It arrived two days before general release, hi rez downloads thrown in, no trauma.
I did pre-order the stand-alone Young Shakespeare dvd from Greedy Hand Uk on 14th Feb with release date being 26th March! I received nothing until an email on 31st March saying “due to global events they are experiencing delays in production…”. They couldn’t confirm when they’d have more in so I went to the US store instead with no problem ( though postage is higher obviously). If you had the hi res download, I guess you didn’t buy just the dvd, which is where the delay lies I think.
As far as I’m aware, the only way to buy the dvd of Young Shakespeare or Way Down in the Rust Bucket is either buy the big box set or visit the Greedy Hand stores where the dvd is sold separately – except you try buying it now! The UK store has been continually showing out of stock of Young Shakespeare ever since the release date, and doesn’t even list the Rust Bucket dvd at all!
For info, I did succumb to the Young Shakespeare box at the deal price so my spare dvd will go on an auction site at some point. I’ve also gone for the Rust Bucket 4 -disc vinyl box today with fingers crossed the price won’t go lower; this plus my Rust Bucket dvd is all I need!
I do hope Greedy Hand UK can sort out their supply issues and seriously improve their feedback, as there is plenty more Neil Young product coming along and we fans on this side of the Atlantic will need them to step up.
The Yes Union live boxset is now even cheaper than before onAmazon France: 105,40 Euro.
Slim pickings at the moment guys, could change any minute…….
The Neil Young -Young Shakespeare box set is down at £38 currently on Amazon.uk, which is even cheaper than the deal of last week!
Prince estate just released a limited edition purple vinyl 7” of Partyman with an unreleased live version of Cool on the B-side. Was done in collaboration with Paris Saint Germain Football Club (weird). There is also some new apparel with PSG on it. 7” is limited to 5 copies per purchase. Price is $20 each. I don’t understand why it is this high. The Welcome 2 America gold vinyl 7” is only $10.

€18 on PSG website.

Oh, OMD 7 disc Souvenir box sale is back on: €17!! Only shipping to Netherlands and Belgium.
https://amzn.to/3o8K534
I ordered the OMD box last week for that great deal and have received it. After reading some comments I feared the discs could be heavily scratched because of the packaging, but there are only some barely visible marks on some of them, so this box is highly recommended! Thanks for the alert @Kauwgompie!
The live disks are great and there’s some interesting stuff on the unreleased tracks disks. Unfortunately the singles disks have been brickwalled with compression to the point of distortion. I looked it up on the Dynamic Range database (A really handy site) and it looks like whoever mastered these did it via a cement mixer. Still, at the price that the box has been selling it’s worth it for the “extras”
CROWEOLOGY (10th Anniversary Edition) [Vinilo]
This 3LP reissue now at 46€ in amazon spain:
https://amzn.to/2Q8dmyf
Gene “The Albums” 9 disc box set now only €40 on Amazon.NL. Unfortunately that means only shipping to the Netherlands and Belgium but there are many Dutchies on here so take advantage guys. The sale of the OMD box is over.

Ordered the £10 Peter Green tribute 2CD/Blu Ray on Saturday with a 1-2 month lead time (Amazon said it would arrive anywhere from end of May to mid-July) – it turned up yesterday! Super value for that package I think.
The 2 cd / bluray concert of Mick Fleetwood’s tribute to Peter Green is £10 on Amazon UK:
https://amzn.to/3h7Kn93
Cracking deal. Added to deals post.
£10 is the 2CD version only, no Blu Ray.
It was the 2CD+blu-ray for £10. 100 percent. It’s over now though
Well technically the deal still on , as Amazon are now out of stock but will let you add it to your bag & order it, but with delivery in a few weeks when they get more stock.
It’s let me order at £10 but delivery 1-2 months away – worth a punt
As far as I can see it’s not a limited edition so no reason why Amazon shouldn’t fulfil the orders as they should get more stock in.
Still available at £10 from Amazon (if you select Amazon via “other sellers”), but out of stock so delivery could take a few weeks.
Thanks to everyone that has pointed out the “other sellers” route. I recall I used that route for a John Prine box set a month or two back, and it came eventually.
Thanks Paul, I bought one! :))
Mine was already delivered last Sunday at pre-order price, but using my skills as an inveterate whiner I was able to get a one-off dispensation of a £6 credit on my account. This involved a long conversation about the preferred alternative of me posting it back, getting a refund, buying a new one for £10 but having to make it up to £20 for free deliver, but ultimately costing Amazon the £6 plus two lots of postage (as they offered a free return, which I’m not sure they should). I have watched the Blu-Ray and listened to the CD (unusually for me as I am terrible for building up un-played piles of stuff) and it is highly recommended. Unfortunately I failed to get tickets at the time and went to the tragically poor Eric Clapton Ginger Baker tribute instead. This show is an example of how to do it properly (Eric)!
Also did similarly with goats head soup. Mentioned Bezos green ethos etc. Refunded the difference after a chat and escalated to a supervisor.
Ordered . Thank you !
Just to let you know that the Depeche Mode 12″ boxes are live again.
Just collected my supposedly “Signed” Kylie Disco CD from HMV (clicked and collected at great price of £4.99) and it isn’t actually signed, not anywhere on any pages of the booklet or the cover. What a disappointment. It looks like they didn’t find a hidden box of signed ones after all. How did other SDE readers get on who bought the recent deal?
Well, same here. Mine isn’t signed either. Just an ‘X’ would’ve been sufficient.
The ‘Hidden Box’ must have been empty.
Well, Royal Mail left me a card saying my package was too big for my letterbox, which I thought was strange for just a CD. However, once I collected it, it all made sense. Inside was not just an unsigned sealed Kylie CD but a colour print signed in silver by Kylie including an ‘X’ …
Well pleased, to say the least, especially at that price!
Ok, the box was half-empty.
I’m trying to be happy for you. I really am. But I’m feeling rather bitter, resentful and unsociable right now. It will pass, with help.
I’ve contacted HMV and a signed-print has now been dispatched to me. So we’ll see if the missing component arrives. Fingers crossed.
I’ve done the same. Fingers crossed too.
Mine was delivered in a LP mailer. The CD wasn’t signed but it did come with a signed large colour live photo.
Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets live at The Roundhouse 2CD+1DVD in slip case is £14.99 on Amazon
https://amzn.to/3eXr6o8
Having never bothered wi this, I’m curious as to who does the singing.
Gary Kemp mainly, which was a surprise but is really good. There are clips on Youtube for you to try if you want to before buying!
Beatles’ Abbey Road Super Deluxe Edition (3CD+1BD) and 100-page hardback book at £59.99 on Amazon UK https://amzn.to/3xNiBod
Might pick up the Bryan Ferry album. I swear I’m not dreaming but I’m convinced I read somewhere that all Bryan’s 70s studio albums are being reissued this summer. Anyone else know about these ? I’ve never heard his solo stuff beyond the singles and am curious.
It’s a mixed bag – Another Time, Another Place is probably the best solo thing he did, but the album he released about 10 years ago (Olympia) is also really good.
The Ferry live album is really decent though, especially for that price.
I’d recommend the Ferry live album.
I can’t order the OMD cd box set from the Netherlands but it would appear (according to the tracking info on my Amazon account) that the DM Speak And Spell 12″ box set is coming from Italy.
The Bryan Ferry album is so good. Great sound and performance. I’d love some Roxy Music live releases along the same quality, in particular Roxy Music Newcastle 1974
Yes, so would I ! After the super deluxe release of the debut RM album a few years back I was hoping that the other albums would be getting the same treatment, but it doesn’t look that way :(.
A shelf full of stuff in the same format as the first album remaster would be very desirable.
The Bryan Ferry Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1974 single CD, casebound book version is only £6 on Amazon. https://amzn.to/3ejN8SJ
Ronnie Lane’s limited edition 6CD box set Just For A Moment (Music 1973 – 1997) is heavily reduced at JPC to €49.99. I got it there the other day for €42.01 plus €4.33 postage, so it’s already gone up a little, but is still well down on the minimum £70 it’s available for everywhere else:
https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/poprock/detail/-/art/ronnie-lane-just-for-a-moment-deluxe/hnum/8928281
This will be the third time I’ve tried to post this, the first two having gone missing – have I done something to upset you Paul?!! I really love Ronnie Lane, so will keep trying….
And for those unaware the debut (&IMHO the best) album “Anymore for Anymore” newly mastered and re- released in July
Not your fault. I’ve tried to post that offer weeks ago when i first discovered it but there seems to be an SDE-gremlin who rips Ronnie Lane offers apart… ;-))
And it hasn’t gone up in price: The 42,01 € you paid is the net amount excluding 19% German VAT.
Sadly Fleetwood Mac Live great price has ended on Amazon UK. Quite short lived. However, try music magpie seller on ebay with the 20% off “PRICEWINS”, to get a circa £55 price for UK.
Fleetwood Mac Live (SDE) has taken a big tumble in price on Amazon UK to £54.23. https://amzn.to/3epB7eK
Also, for those who missed it last week, Amazon Netherlands has a crazy deal on the OMD 7 disc Souvenir box. Only €17. They only ship to the Netherlands and Belgium. It’s been this price for almost a week now so will be over soon. Get it while you can.
https://amzn.to/3nQ7qGA
That is a real bargain Kauwgompie! I wish I could buy this set for double that price but as you mention Amazon.nl will not ship to Spain (Madrid). I would gladly reimburse the deal price and shipping costs if somebody could get this for me…
Thanks! At this price i would be crazy not to
That’s a bargain !! The mastering is a bit harsh I found, but at that price …….!
Jethro Tull A La Mode box now $29 on importcds.com. If £29 is a deal, than $29 certainly is.
https://www.importcds.com/a-a-la-mode-the-40th-anniversary-edition-3cd-3dvd/190295127497
Wow. Thanks!
Nick Kamen has died
It would feel wrong to put a thumbs up on your post for this sad news.
If anyone is interested, the Pink Floyd – The Wall Immersion 6CD/DVD set is back down to £65 on Amazon UK. Pretty good value, that one.
In amazon spain is at 50€, Wish you were here immersion box set same price
Waiting for the loooong-awaited 5.1.
Thanks very much Paul, just ordered the DM speak And Spell box.
Amy Winehouse deal gone already
Well it’s only gone up from £12 to £15 so won’t exactly break the bank ! I notice this deal was supplied by Amazon EU not Amazon UK so presume it’s being imported & will come in the usual Amazon EU paper bag with the potential for damage
If you like Jean -Michel Jarre you should take a listen to the instrumental version of My Secret Garden on the Broken Frame box. Thanks for the Amy Winehouse deal
Paul McCartney Egypt Station Explorer’s Edition now only €12.99 on Amazon.NL. Only shipping to Netherlands and Belgium.
https://amzn.to/3tn9xTj
Kraftwerk 3D The Catalogue 8cd box set deal (£35) is back on Amazon UK & they have it in stock.
From the US only seeing two Marketplace sellers with the cheaper being £61.05. Either the deal is over or Amazon are not letting people outside the UK see it.
Nope, the deal is still there, but geo-blocked (as it is in 90% of these queries)
Wish the Violator 12” box would make a reappearance at £28 !!!!! I had a feeling those would disappear quickly.
Paul, are you sure you haven’t got any under your bed or lying around somewhere?? I’ll give you £30 for one :)
Aimee Winehouse – 5 CD box set The Collection now £11.99 on Amazon UK!
cheers – ordered it – worth it despite having most of it already – also reviews there seem to think the mastering is pretty darn good.
If you are interested in the Prince welcome 2 america CD + Blu ray but not in the vinyl, the japanese CD/Blu-ray is also on amazon.com for $41.99 (https://amzn.to/33ekv36)
Dear Seikotsi
I am sorry to inform you that the link is for the Japanese Blu-spec CD2 format and NOT for a two disc set containing both the CD and the Blu-ray but only for the one disc edition containing a Blu-spec CD2 version of the album.
CD Japan have the Blu-Spec 2 CD + Blu-Ray set @ $54
https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/SICP-31432?s_ssid=e31fef6071c86bf697
Would love it if albums were released in CD+Blu-ray packages with a hi-res versions on the Blu-ray (or 5.1/Atmos if available). Thought that was going to be the natural evolution of formats from CD and DVD, but then mp3 and streaming hit and the rest is history.
