  1. I don’t buy remastered album’s . Do you know they’ve monked around with it’s magic on Elo’s greatest hits. Some one’s Nicked off with the bass.

  2. Thanks Paul for this competition and for your glorious content and options which tend to be the same as mine! and of course your constant heads up on getting box sets for excellent prices that I want but really shouldn’t indulge in!

  3. Thanks, Paul, for the opportunity to win the SDE of Welcome 2 America! I have to give credit to the Prince organization on putting together some really great SDE’s (Sign O The Time (best SDE EVER!), 1999, and Purple Rain (which, actually should probably be redone one day to more emulate the Sign O The Times SDE release.) I know this isn’t the forum for this, but it is on my mind, but I am really disappointed in the recently announced Beatles Let It Be SDE. Hopefully there will be a second SDE released alongside the Peter Jackson film. If not, well, at least I have my Vigotone Thirty Days 17-CD set, which, by the way, is an awesome SDE!!!

  4. Thanks Paul for this amazing offer and chance to win. Love the site, I discovered it at the start of the pandemic and it’sbeen my go to reference music site since. Is there a mobile app too?

  5. Thanks Paul, an amazing prize.

The first time I saw him was at Earls Court in 1992 and he had everyone singing Sexy MF, my wife’s first ever concert too.
The last time was the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2010 the evening after the race, we blagged our way into VIP – my wife, daughter and son – and he invited everyone up on stage, my daughter tried to climb up but it was a mob. As usual he was brilliant.
Between the 2 we saw him at Wembley Stadium, Wembley Arena – a couple of times – and the O2 during his 21 night run, he was weird at the Stadium as he was in dispute with Warners and spent too long asking “What’s My Name” but all other times he was sublime.
Sorely missed by me and definitely my most played artist since working from home, I wonder what will be released next.

  6. To all Prince lovers: if you’re not lucky enough to win this, buy it!
Rolling Stone claims ” Toward the end of his life, Prince was creating so much music that he appeared to lose sight of his vision.” This from a bunch of old farts.
I have followed the music from Prince since the beginning of his career and appreciated how he always maintained his originality and raw talent, and in doing so he never ever lost sight of his vision.
Rather, his music evolved with the times.
Changing with the times: the old farts who write the reviews at the iconic music publications just don’t seem to get this.
This new album from Prince is a clear indication of his funk roots integrated with the sound of today’s pop music, and as in the case of almost all his releases, an album truly worthy of his Royal Funkness.

  7. Great competition. Heard the album and it’s better than 95% of the stuff out today. If the vault stuff is this good I hope they keep rolling it out

  8. I’m far from a Prince fan, but I logged in just to see what the poll was. Bit of a let down.

Seriously though, I don’t want this so I won’t steal a chance from someone else. Good luck everyone!

  9. The list price on this thing is sad compared to previous Prince deluxe editions. But as a prize, terrific! Thanks for offering this up.

  10. I am a massive Prince fan and am planning to buy the Welcome 2 America Deluxe Edition as soon as the price dips a bit in the USA. I would really like to check out the live show on the Los Angeles 2011-04-28 Blu-Ray disc. If I can win the Deluxe Edition, all the better. Thank you!

  11. This looks amazing. After the Sign o’ the Times boxset from last year- which I dip into on occasions – this could be this years equivalent.

  12. Always loved Prince! But if there is a lot more in the vaults of similar quality that would be amazing, from Mr Amazing, the legend that is Prince!!

  13. Thanks for doing this. Saw the man 4x in concert — starting with the Purple Rain Tour, Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY. Best concert memories of my life.

    1. I saw him in 1990 at Wembley Arena on his supposedly stripped-down “Nude” tour, which still managed to be one of the most lavish gigs I’ve ever been to.

  14. Seen Prince en vivo a coupla times. The first time was in May, 1987 on the Sign o’ the Times Tour. One of the best things I’ve ever seen! I worked as a DJ in those days and used to blast Prince tunes every single night. :)
The last time was at the Way Out West festival in Gothenburg, Sweden in August, 2011. It turned into an instant party – like a seriously extended version of my DJ dancefloor – and it felt like the whole festival crowd was there strutting their stuff. During If I was your girlfriend The Purple One invited audience members up on stage, including a fella named Kanye West who grabbed the mic in the surrounding melee. After the curfew time limit the City of Gothenburg allowed him to continue for a half an hour up to maybe an hour more!
A right ole party in the scenic Slottsskogen, a green park smack dab in the middle of Gothenburg, a ten minute walk from my future girlfriend’s home.
If I was your girlfriend, indeed. Thanks for the memories, Prince Rogers Nelson!

  15. I’ve enjoyed the Sign o the Times box so much, and am thankful
2 every1 who gave time to create it. Thx also 2 Paul 4 the honest review that encouraged me where 2 spend thru these times of hardship.
