  2. Thank you Paul for this invaluable section of SDE and many thanks to everyone who shares deal information when they spot something.

It has cost me a fortune, but given me a great deal of pleasure.

Merry Christmas and here’s to lots of deals in 2022.

  3. Not necessarily a deal but the Depeche Mode 101 deluxe box seems to be out of print. Just a heads up to all those on the fence. Many were scrambling to get the “Mode” box last year as that went out of print very fast as well. So get the 101 box while you can.
Also, the Ultravox Vienna box, Donna Summer Encore box and the Yello 40 years box all seem to be going towards out of print and no longer available soon.

  4. Black Crowes’ Shake Your Money Maker 3CD softpack deal is still on – mine arrived at the weekend and it’s a nice set at a great price that brought back memories of my student days.

  5. I had to bite the bullet on Depeche Mode for big bruv’s birthday in March, DM don’t seem to have big price drops. Had a nice chat this morning with the guys in HMV, the Let It Be cd box is £119, against £83 on Amazon, their pricing on vinyl and box sets in general seems to be very high, I picked up a Madness yellow vinyl Absolutely for £22, but I think they’re selling more American sweets. I introduced the teenagers in the family to Father Ted last night, I haven’t heard them laugh so much in ages, it’s great having a box set about, glad I held on to that, I forgot about Radiohead on the coach, lol

  6. Just want to point out that the beck hyperspace vinyl is NOT a double vinyl set even though Amazon list it as such. It’s got 2 extra tracks.
I reported this to Amazon last year when I got my copy and got a refund but it’s disappointing they have not corrected the error.

  7. Amazon Australia has GnR Appetite For Destruction SDE (4CD + BD) for AU$66 (35GBP)…original retail was about AU$300. Also Metallica S&M2 (2CD + BD) is currently AU$13 (7GBP).

Mention my name and pay double ;o)

  8. Showaddywaddy-The Complete Singles Collection: 1974-1987 £15 Ludicrous price for a 33CD Boxset so don’t scoff :)

10% voucher of you don’t already have an account when you enter email in pop up box when you first go to site.

Think all were signed but not sure about that? 31 are CD Singles, also includes the classic Red and Blue compilation albums https://www.rarewaves.com/products/5014797893566-the-complete-singles-collection-1974-1987-showaddywaddy or £18.80 if you prefer ebay : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284568489808?epid=1165174498&hash=item42419a8f50:g:pboAAOSwIK9huLKH

    1. What a deal this is! Superb value and in stark contrast to the DM offering, which may be cheaper than it was but since when was 5 discs and a booklet of photos at over £80 value for money?

  9. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get Beautiful Garbage’s 64-track digital SDE? I remember getting their debut album’s digital package for I think less than ten pounds, so I would love to be able to get this one for not a lot? I mean, qobuz has it for like 30£. I’m only missing a dozen tracks but having them all together would be cool, also because I can’t be bothered to assemble it myself :)

      1. Thank you, sadly they restricted access so that only UK residents can buy it, and my country’s listing they only sell the mp3 version. Really dumb. I guess I’ll have to use qobuz.

  10. Hi Paul, it’s not exacly a ‘straight’ Deal Alert, but the Neil Young Way Down In The Rust Bucket LP box set, stands at £62.25 on Amazon at the moment, but with a box to tick to get a £16.75 voucher, reducing it to £45.50. Seems a lot of work to go to when they could have just altered the price, but hey [hey] ho.

  11. Not sure what’s going on at Universal Music but, I keep getting e-mails via their Sound of Music/Record Store outlets to advise me that that they are have “rare warehouse finds” for sale on a daily basis! Either they have issues with their stock management or they need a new warehouse manager!! I blame Boris!

    1. Same here, I can’t wait till they send me a found down the back of a sofa in head office email for The Beatles in Mono / Rolling Stones in Mono and the First David Bowie Vinyl box set!. Over to you Sound Of Vinyl!.

  12. Yep, got the Amy Winehouse deal a few weeks ago off of Amazon Germany for slightly less. A decent deal for a triple record set right enough. One of the few highlights of this year personally. Did anybody else catch the Amazon UK (glitch deal?) copy of Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, Live at the Roundhouse vinyl a few weeks ago, also, for £10!! Couldn’t believe it. Put in an order expecting Amazon to cancel or something, but true enough, it arrived pristine. It had been £32.99 for ages.

  13. If you’re looking to patch some holes in your Rolling Stones collection, nearly all of the band’s 60s albums (from England’s Newest Hitmakers to Let It Bleed, including the two live albums and compilations) are £4.99 on CD from Amazon UK. Primarily the 2002 ABKCO reissues, but the recent 50th anniversary remasters of Let It Bleed and Beggars Banquet are also in there.

Listed as a flash deal, so likely to end pretty soon.

    Other offers in the deal

Zappa Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 3CD – £9.99
Black Crowes – Shake Your Money Maker (3CD softpack) – £9.99
Paul Weller – Wake Up The Nation (10th Anniversary Remix) – £4.99

    1. Thank Matt. I bought a load of the Stones CDs. I had all the original vinyl and hadn’t really bothered to get the CDs (lack of extras etc see many past threads) but at £4.99 you can’t really go wrong.

  14. The Mark Knopfler box contains a ot of great music – which was a bit of a pleasant dicovery for me. Unfortunatly the box itself is flimsy and the sleeves are thick paper that’s poorly glued together. Just like that Dire Straits box previously. Hence the lower price, I guess. But it certainly disappoints on that level.

    1. I disagree, I am satisfied with the price and what it offers, it is competitive. Another type of version, would have a much more expensive and not affordable price. I enjoy the Mark Knopfler box.:))
