  1. My copy (with the rather lovely signed Briggs print) came today. Also included is a “Replacement CD for Disc 4” in it’s own stickered and barcoded PVC sleeve. However I can find no information regarding what was wrong with the original disc. Anyone know?

  2. Wow looks like a lovely set. I don’t know DS well enough to dive in at that price point. The overall graphic presentation and packaging sure are tempting though. Strongly reminds me of 4AD back in the day.

  3. Like AndreasL, I have much of this content already so won’t be purchasing – but I can’t deny, it’s beautifully put together. If there’s another omission to mention, it’s the Amplified Gesture film. This was originally released as part of the Manafon deluxe boxset (2009) – but was given its own release in 2011. It gives a fascinating insight into the improvisations and the musicians who created them for the Manafon sessions.

  4. Glad I let the dust settle on this. I have 98% of the content, as it has all been released by Samandi Sounds on CD. Albums, remix albums and EPs with consistent packaging that look great side by side on the shelf. A lot better than having them tucked away in those terrible pockets. Visuals wise u certainly get all and a lot more in the Hypergraphia 600+ page book, 1980-2024 which if I can remember surprisingly came at an affordable price. Oh, and of course the wonderful ‘Sleepwalkers’ compilation album of collaborations released in 2010. Now if he’d thrown in that unreleased duets album with Joan as Policewoman, we would be having a completely different discussion all together.

  5. Thanks as always for the fine video Paul. Looks a lot like the Vangelis box set Delectus from a few years back. I think the 10″ format box presentation such as this is my most- preferred format for SDE. It’s not too large, looks great on the shelf and affords a great book to be included. I’m hoping the Vangelis Estate does something like this again if/when they release some of Vangelis’ unreleased work someday.

    1. i DO hope the mastering on this set is better than the Vangelis “Delectus” set which was just… uh… odd? and “odd” is not what i’m bargaining for with the price i paid for this DS box. it does look to be a handsome offering, however. now, if only we could get a set of the earlier DS period that would contain such missing-on-cd gems such as “Blue of Noon.”

Many thanks, Paul, for the teaser. I’m anxious to have and hold this set.
