  1. Not sure if this got listed or not. Sorry if it appears twice.
    £ 6.97 Grateful Dead Europe ’72 50th Anniversary Edition 2CD Amazon UK
The Live at the Lyceum 4 CD is £12.97.
It’s ages since we had some Dead deals.

        1. Don’t need the coloured vinyl so will wait for the ‘Star Fleet’ and ‘Another World’ 2cd versions to get down to a tenner each.

That was when i pulled the plug for ‘Back To The Light’.

  2. The Nirvana – In Utero 30th super deluxe 5CD box is down to £104 on Amazon UK.

Still about £40 overpriced in my opinion but that’s now £100 off where it started in October.

  3. Excellent price for the 2CD/2BR box set of Rolling Stones’ A Bigger Bang Live On Copacabana Beach on Amazon UK – down to £16

Also, the price bounced back up earlier this week but the Black Sabbath Sabotage Super Deluxe CD is back down at £22.

  4. The prices for The Beatles 2023 red & blue CDs have been fluctuating a lot on Amazon UK recently. The blue album is currently £14.06 (which is the cheapest I’ve seen it). The red album isn’t such a good deal at the moment (it’s currently £16.14) but it has been as low as £11.31 in the last week or so.
Definitely worth keeping any eye on for anyone who’s in the market for these releases.

    1. I got these for around £15 each off a seller in eBay which even at the price they are now is too much when you consider that when they were reissued in , early 2000s they were under £10 each when I got them and that was before the extra tracks which I don’t believe add anything to the compilations I only bought them for completion purposes and also the fake single of Now and then. I say fake because of the studio trickery they used to make it sound like all 4 Beatles were playing when technically it was and always will be a old John Lennon demo.

  5. The Velvet Underground :A Documentary Film soundtrack, a double CD with some great rarer versions is currently £3.70 on Amazon UK. An absolute steal.

  6. If you’re quick, there’s a pretty good 3rd party seller shifting the Kate Bush Remastered Pt.1 CD box on Amazon UK for £36, which is an ok price. Not a lot of copies available though.

    1. Thanks. Nabbed the last one. It’s an excellent boxset that I had when it came but got damaged in a flood, so good to have it again at a brilliant price :)

  7. For anyone interested as I am in collecting the Neil Young official bootleg series of CDs, his Somewhere Under The Rainbow double CD is down from £8.99 to £8.21 which though it’s not a whole lot of discount is still reasonably priced to paraphrase Mr Clarkson.

    1. On Amazon UK the Royce Hall, Citizen Kane Blues and Dorothy Chandler ones are all frequently sub-£5 and I picked up The Ducks one for £6.50 a few weeks ago. The only one that’s stubbornly been sitting up at £10 for a long time is the Carnegie Hall one.

      1. From a seller on eBay, Neil’s Royce hall,Dorothy Chandler, citizen Kane blues and Carnegie Hall CDs sold together as a bundle for £15 after a 22% discount. New and sealed. I bought them for that price and they are as described, new.

          1. I believe it is ‘soundvisioncollectables’. Price is £19.95, but with a 22% discount, £15.56.

  8. Rarewaves-outlet on EBAY have got the Waterboys new 1985 6cd Box for just over £38 on pre order it looks like they have quite a few, thats over £30 cheaper than Amazon UK. Just ordered mine

      1. Your right Paul i’ve just double checked the EAN number and it shows the clamshell box, thanks for the heads up i’ve just cancelled mine, i need to stop getting excited and do my homework

  9. Beach Boys 6CD set just £36.30 on Amazon UK this morning, has been under £40 for several weeks now.

Vinyl equivalent just £62.95 on Amazon uk too. 2LP + 7″ version just £25.40.

Those prices have plummeted since its original release which suggests it was so massively overpriced from the off that it shifted very few copies and now, without the PR engine behind it, it’s unlikely to sell many more other than by power of word of mouth.

I sincererly hope that that cataclysmic pricing bungle and resultant poor sales don’t affect the livelihood of future boxed sets of material by The Beach Boys: the audio content of the boxes released in recent years has been incredible and I can’t get enough of them… at the right price.

    1. Good point, John. The initial price of Sail On Sailor (£130) was a really big increase on the cost of Feel Flows (somewhere about £80 if I remember correctly). One disc extra, but it hardly justified the hike. Seeing how Feel Flows fell sharply, it didn’t make sense not to wait until Sail On Sailor did similarly. I got it a few months ago for low 40s. Who’s Next is another case of a recent ridiculously high price, and it plummeted even quicker.
As for future Beach Boys releases, who knows. The logical thing would be to package 15 Big Ones/ Love You together, but the 50th anniversary of Love You is 2027, so it’s a few years to wait. That set would have to include the ‘Adult/Child’ tracks, if only to offset the fairly mediocre offerings of 15 Big Ones. Try shifting that for £150.

    2. This is a really good price. I picked it up a few months back for around £40ish which I was pleased with. It’s a great set. I really need to get the Feel Flows box as well but it’s back at around £80 and seems stuck at that amount unfortunately.

    3. In an update I decided to pull the trigger and bought the Beach Boys one this morning though it’s not coming through Amazon direct for £34.82 but through Chalky’s who I’ve had mixed dealings with in the past but hopefully they’ll come through this time. I also bought Neil Young’s Somewhere Over The Rainbow bootleg double CD for under £9.

      1. I almost snagged one from Chalky’s roughly a year ago, for about a mere tenner, but it turned out they’d mispriced the product, and they cancelled my order. Otherwsie my experience with Chalky’s has been good!

  10. Rush Moving Pictures Super Deluxe Edition is currently $186 plus a 10% coupon on amazon.com. This almost as cheap as what
I bagged from amazon warehouse “used like new” for $155.00 two days ago. It is scheduled for delivery on Wednesday. Let’s see how it turns out.
Lately I was lucky with Diamonds and Pearls SDE in both vinyl and CD from amazon warehouse, used like new. Both were still sealed with no visible damage. Hoping for the same and an undamaged Red Barchetta toy.

    1. For anyone interested. The Box arrived today, unsealed. The person who returned it initially was so nice to steal the blu ray and another CD1 into the mix. Box will be returned tomorrow to amazon. I am sort of disgusted but I am tempted to blame both the fact that the blu ray is exclusive to the SDE as well as amazon’s quality control in their warehouses.
Well you win some, you lose some.

      1. That’s despicable of them to do that and shoddy of Amazon to not check and resell it. I am also only interested in the Blu-ray but would never do that. At most, I’d try to sell the box with it clear it won’t include the Blu-ray, hoping someone who doesn’t want the Blu-ray but does the vinyl and CDs. I’d also not expect someone to pay full price for it.

That being said, I’d gladly pay up to $50 for a standalone Blu-ray. The Rush boxed sets have been a big no for me because of them being mixed media.

  11. Was never an expensive set, but the 7CD Complete Studio Recordings of The Farm can now be found at around £10 on Amazon UK and less on various eBay sellers (lowest I saw – and bought – was £6 and free postage)

  12. Picked up Prince D&P 7CD + DVD for £112 including postage from Amazon France yesterday, which is the best price available to UK buyers I’ve seen for this since its release.

  13. A hint for fans of Depeche Mode with shallow pockets:

German book publisher Taschen (taschen.com) has just released a heavily slimmed down (not only in size but also in content) edition of ‘DM by AC’, its book with photographies of the band by Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn for the also heavily reduced price of 15€ (in Germany, but experience says that prices in other countries should be similar).

This one caused an outrage by some commenters here on original release back in 2020 because the limited edition then cost a mere 500€.

In the meantime a smaller (only in size, content was identical to the original release) version had been published for 100€ that is also still available.

  14. Just a warning to any who might be interested in the Yes Union box – apparently, the sound quality for many of the shows is pretty dismal and a few shows are audience recordings/bootleg quality. I don’t know for sure because I haven’t bought it or heard it, but that’s the word on the street. (Or the web.)

    1. I bought it once the price came down and am working my way through the shows. The sound quality is ok for most of the audience recorded material (or as expected). The audience DVDs are shaky but you get a glimpse of multiple shows. I think the idea behind this is putting all the audience bootlegs together that used to sell for $100 each with one pro shot/recorded show for the fans that wanted the boots. It’s a nice looking package and I’m glad I got it for a lower price (under half of where it started).

      1. Bought it the other day from Amazon UK for 87 quid- must have been a flash deal because it went up to over 230 quid the next day. Now on for just under 113. Crazy price fluctuations! (Its on at € 336 on Amazon de btw.) Looks lovely. Some of the sound quality is certainly iffy but a steal at the price I got it for.

  15. A couple for Neil Young fans. Amazon fr are doing Dume for £30 and Amazon uk for doing Official Release Series 22 etc for £26. Look like pretty good deals to me.

  16. Humble Pie – The A&M CD Box set is currently reduced to £35.41 on Rarewaves at the moment. Also a further 10% discount is available until Monday on the Rarewaves site.

  17. Jesus Christ Superstar 50th anniversary Deuxe Edition now at £22.99 on Amazon UK, not as low as yesterday’s £20.22, but still excellent value for a fabulous remaster

    1. That’s less than I paid for the 4 CD set on its own and I thought that was a good price at the time! Grabbed it again and will donate the one I have as a present to someone at a later stage, thanks for the alert.

    2. Nice deal. But what the hell is Amazon.co.uk asking für Shipping? 9,5£!? Last time i paid around 4,5£ for shipping to Germany in November 2023 for a similar vinyl box item even bigger and heavier.

      1. As far as I understand it you can’t redeem points at the same time as taking advantage of the 10% discount offer.

I don’t mind being proved wrong.

  18. On Amazon UK:

Cat Stevens – Teaser & The Firecat 50th Anniversary 4CD/BR is back down to £44
Eric Clapton – Eric Clapton 50th 4CD is back down to £21
Cranberries – To The Faithful Departed 3CD is down to £13

And the CD version of the 2023 remaster of Tom Waits’ Bone Machine is down to £6.98 (the others are all still about £12). Reading the reviews there seems to be some issues with the quality of the remaster on this one, which is probably why it’s dropped in price so quickly.

    1. It is $150 on the David Bowie store website. Part of a 50% sale. The cd version is $50, Toy 3 cd is $10. Smaller discounts on Divine Symmetry. Width of a Circle 2 cd or 10” vinyl on sale.

  19. Human League – Secrets 2CD deluxe (the one with the dodgy packaging – apparently) is down to £12.59 on Amazon UK in a “Limited time deal”

  20. OK its far from his best work but Amazon.UK now selling Springsteen’s Only the Strong Survive on vinyl for £16.99 including delivery. Decent for completists!

      1. I have to be honest and say it was far from my favourite album of his indeed I don’t think his voice was suited to some of the songs but to each their own!

  21. Anyone interested in the Stevie nicks complete albums & rarities box set, really should get over to eBay. There on offer all over the site for around £50,the cheapest being £46 after an 8% discount. All are described as new and sealed.

  22. Maybe of interest to some readers, especially in North America:

US-label Nonesuch Records celebrates its 60th anniversary today with a one day only discount of 50% on everything (except pre-orders) available from their online store.

    https://store.nonesuch.com/

Sale ends tomorrow 10 am EST what in Europe should be sometime between 3 and 6 pm depending where you are exactly.

The most interesting part for not North America based readers might be that downloads are also included in the offer.

  23. Not quite in my wheelhouse, so I don’t know if this has been cheaper but I did spot that the 25th anniversary 2CD edition of the Spice Girls’ Spice is down to £8.81 on Amazon UK, which seems like a decent price for a mediabook release like that (and there’s a 3rd party seller shifting the 2CD version of Spiceworld for £11.60 if you really want to get your fill of early Spice Girls for a total of about £20).

  24. The new version of the The Beatles 1962-1966 (Red Album) is on Amazon UK for £15 (Blue is still up at £21).

And a really good deal on the Level 42 Complete Polydor Years Volume 2 – down to £23.75

    1. I have seen that Level 42 Volume 2 going for that price on a quite a few occasions in fact i bought it for £22 but what is annoying not once has Volume 1 ever gone down in price for whatever reason.

    2. The Beatles Red/Blue are being sold quite cheaply on ebay at the moment. Not sure if they are legit or not.
The red one is now under £14 on Amazon UK.

      1. Judging by the price drop on Amazon, I suspect they’re legit. The starting price of those sets was stupid so they’re getting to where they should’ve been initially.

        1. Yes, it had been on my watch list for a while, me waiting for it to come down. It is the proper new version. I think it’s also discounted on Amazon Germany and France.

  25. Prince and The New Power Generation: Diamonds and Pearls Super Deluxe 7CD + Blu-ray €115 on AMZ Italy. First sub-£100 I’ve seen that will ship to the UK (~£103 incl. shipping).

I’m sure it will go lower at some point but this was good enough for me to bite.

    1. That’s even a bit less than the Danish offer on imusic around christmas.

Seems like stuff like this one, ‘Sail On Sailor’ by The Beach Boys and ‘Who’s Next’ ain’t shifting too many copies at the original price point…

      1. Launch prices of most box sets these days are ludicrous and they’ve got well out of hand in the last few years. Nearly every box set I’ve picked up since 2020 has been for 40-60% less than the starting price. Feels very exploitative of hardcore fans who want stuff on release date.

    2. Have I bought this – yes. Do I particularly like Humble Pie – no. But a bargain is a bargain.

Perhaps it’s a good example of pricing to sell….

      1. My copy just arrived, a couple odd days ahead of schedule. Usually Amazon brown bag, but inside the set itself was in a sturdy, tight fitting, brown cardboard box. No dings or damage.

  26. Not sure if this is classed as a deal exactly but I recently bought Depeche Mode-Music For The Masses CD with surround sound DVD from Amazon. This also came with an MP3 rip of the album. I usually rip from the CD so didn’t really need this. I was looking at my Amazon Music library and the rip for this album is actually the 12″ collection of Music For The Masses. I know the vinyl was going for silly money but I was happy to get this.
And on this subject I’ve bought other CD’s in the past from Amazon which have the MP3 download and there are some bonuses to be had. I bought a remastered Nevermind by Nirvana and the rip contained 70 tracks (obviously from the box set of the time). I also bought Stevie Nicks – Bella Donna remaster. This rip had 35 tracks. Are there any recommendations from anyone else with regards buying a standard CD from Amazon and getting a super deluxe ripped version?

    1. Best ones I’ve come across are the Velvet Undergound’s Velvet Underground and White Light/White Heat standard CDs (both currently £6.99) that both came with Super Deluxe auto-rips (self-titled is 65 tracks, WL/WH is only 30)

I got the deluxe 2 disc autorip of the Mad Season album (with the extra live album) with the standard CD.

And an odd one, but if you get the auto-rip of the Super Furry Animals Rings Around The World 20th anniversary 3CD you actually get a different tracklist to the CD but 1 less track in total. Due to the weird way they released that album there were two different digital versions (the 3CD is a compilation of the two digital versions in essence). You get the 50 track Part 1, which is the remastered album plus b-sides and nearly all of the album remixes, as an auto-rip with the CD and then if you’re a completist you’d need to seek out the 45 track digital Part 2, which is demos, sketches and instrumentals). It was annoying – it would’ve been ideal if auto-rip included all 95 tracks, tbh.

    2. Just found Duran Duran’s eponymous first album on CD on Amazon for £6.42. The rip has 27 songs which was on the deluxe version. To be fair though, the rip is priced at £6.81, but hey, every penny counts.

  27. Back in stock at Burning Shed is the David Sylvian box ‘Do You Know Me Now’ for the rather attractive, though regarding the sometimes sacral character of the included music, seemingly unfitting prize of £66,66 (plus VAT where applicable, which brings the price in the UK for instance up to £79,99).

Also worth noting for non-UK customers is that Burning Shed no longer only offers shipping by courier for it (which almost doubled the item prize as a result) but you can also get it for more reasonable shipping costs via Royal Mail now.

  28. ABBA now at £64.25!! I got it, a few days ago for £77 and I thought that was good
Need to select £64.25 from ‘other sellers’ but seems to be supplied by amazon..

  29. Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express, Complete Oblivion is now £59 at Amazon UK.

I think someone tipped me off to this here, but 6 LPs of remastered prime 70s jazz-rock for less than £60 seems good to me.

    1. Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express were unknown to me so I surfed the net and sampled a lot of their music. Hmm good aren’t they? So I ordered the 6LP Box and the 4LP ‘Far Horizons’ box caught my eye, also ordered. 10LPs for just over £100 bargain considering I’d just made double that profit on a box set I no longer required.

      Thanks Tim of the Tunes.

      1. The box sets arrived today in perfect condition. The ‘Far Horizons’ box has 3 single LPs and a double so even better value. Both box sets contain perfect sleeves including over half gatefold, the LPs clean and flat. 11 LPs for just over £100, I doubt I’ll get a better bargain this year.

The music? It’s right up my street so no complaints there as expected.

  30. Great price at Amazon Canada for the Stevie Nicks boxset. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 3:44 p.m. North American east coast time it’s $70.22 Canadian. That’s 38 per cent off and it’s a “limited time deal.”

  31. Maybe this is of interest for someone: jpc.de has the Van der Graaf 20 disc box set for a little more than $100 incl. shipping to the US. Shipping date in maybe 1-2 weeks. I use them often and with the occasional hick up I can highly recommend jpc.de. Well packed with signature requirement.

    1. I’m not really familiar with VGG but a mete keeps prattling on about them so because of this deal with JPC I had a listen to a few tunes on YouTube.

      Ordered!

Thanks Marillo-Tom, my wallet is now much easier to carry ;-))

    2. I bought it in November 2022 and it cost £75 with postage to me. I had 20% discount code to it. Still haven’t opened it. After i bought it i had a feeling that it have too much stuff for me. Maybe better to sell it someone who’s really Van Der Graaf Generator nut with the price i paid it for!

    3. Worth mentioning too might be for all newly won over VDGG fans that jpc.de also offers the second box with recordings made after the reformation of the group in 2004 for a similar price and this item already is in stock there.

Also worth mentioning though might be the fact that the releasing record company Esoteric Recordings did an “R.E.M.”-approach on that box, meaning that it has a totally different size from the Charisma box…

  32. Very happy with my All Your Music via ebay deal for vol 3 of the Joni Mitchell Archives cd set which arrived today. Very well packaged, completely pristine, excellent value and a superb set. Buy 2 save 25% deal still going on eligible items.

  33. What do we think about the Amazon Spain price for the vinyl boxset of Prince – Diamonds and Pearls?
149 euros, too good to be true or worth a try?

    1. I’ve had no issues buying from the Spanish branch of the Dodgers so if you reckon it’s a good price go ahead, I can’t advice you not being a fan of royalty.

    2. The CD version is currently CAD$140 – which is less than 85 quid on Amazon Canada, but they wont ship directly to the UK which limits the usefulness of this info somewhat.

    1. I agree. There is only one professionally recorded DVD and CD, the rest are just poor quality bootlegs. This is the same company that is distributing the Rick Wakeman Prog Years box set, which looks to be pretty suspicious too. Proceed with caution.

      1. It’s dropped to 82 GBP now. I ordered it and just received it. It’s not as pictured. The discs are in standard jewel cases and box all seems much smaller than I expected. Still an interesting package with all the print material/passes/posters. I’m sure a lot of the audio is subpar as others have mentioned but I’ll be the judge once I have time to listen.

      1. greedoe doesn’t say it’s ’extortionate’ he’s saying the price is too high for him and no doubt many other people in these days of high prices for the essentials of life. Not everyone can throw their money down for items they desire. If you have the money Chibb that’s OK but others don’t.

        1. “Throw their money down the drain for items they desire…” Everything mentioned on these pages are ‘items’ people desire, none of them essential, yet here we are. And I was saying that £4.25 is not expensive at all, but you have a great day, ha ha…

          1. nobody mentioned a ‘drain’… ‘throwing money down’ is just a term for paying for stuff ….

          2. £17 for the Now series is not that expensive as a “one off” the trouble is that there is bloody hundreds of them … and more to come!
The price mount’s up very quickly, that’s why I stopped getting them.

          3. exactly this. it was fun and financially fine when there were a couple, but they keep coming and coming and coming. I love them, which is part of the problem – and the collector in me can’t miss one. The financially savvy father of two is trying to beat sense into the other part of me… and not winning.

      1. The difference being HMV package their products in thick card boxes unlike Amazon.
I think over the last several months more items have turned up damaged from Amazon than those delivered in one piece…

        1. Amazon still have the nerve to suggest customers might like to combine orders to ‘reduce the number of trucks on the road’. Packaging an item properly & delivering it once would seem to be a no-brainer rather than sticking it in a paper bag & having to deliver (& pay for me to return) the same item 5 times until one arrives that isn’t damaged !

    1. I wonder if Amazon has gone minus on inventory for the NOW Yearbooks? I grabbed 5 of them yesterday – ’73 special, ’73 extra, ’78 extra, ’88 special, and ’92 extra. They’ve dispatched the ’78 Extra, but the other four are still in processing.

      1. I originally held back on getting ’73, ’73 extra and ’92 extra Steve but at £5.99 for the extras and £6.99 for ’73 (standard) I caved. Mine arrived the next day so hopefully yours will be with you soon. Great value for so much music.

      1. Got to question the competency of the charity shop pricer though, John. They’re not going to make much money for good causes if they keep giving away 4CD sets for 50p.

        1. A charity shop near me is currently selling all CDs & DVDs … 10 for a £1
and have sign’s up saying that they are not taking any more in. I think I must be the only person buying them.

          1. I was on holiday in Royston Herts last week, charity shop mix and match buy 2 get 1 free 49p each,, season 12 of the Simpson/ David sylvan secrets cd/ roddy frame northstar cd all mint 98p,, northstar I thought was shite so used the mint jewal cas for a great album street legal. When I was in Royston I went into revolution records, thought Everything was over priced! Amen

          2. If you want to feel good about a real charity shop bargain, you can pay the advertised price. If you want to feel great about it, you can give the charity a bit more if you can afford it.

        2. Your right Stan! When old Doris rocks up for her 3 hour weekly shift she’s probably more than a hindrance than a help!
