my copy still hasn’t shipped from amazon in the US :(
Cherry Red has released a box-set similar to the “Dream Academy” one from “Kissing the Pink” incl. the first three albums plus 2 Discs with Bonus Material released on 23.02.
Hi Paul, being a boomer I didn’t realise that the Trevor Horn & George Harrison Blu rays were still available, thankfully I do now and I’ve ordered both, but I recommend for people like me that you remind us occasionally what is still available in your store
40th Anniversary of Queen, The Works. Was hoping for something like The Miracle or News of the World Deluxe Edition. What do we get bog standard cd/vinyl and a T Shirt and Sweatshirt. Disappointed to say the least.
There’s a £100 Radio Ga Ga charm too, QPL have really put thought into what the fanbase need..
Thanks Mike, think the words are missed opportunity. Or maybe they are not releasing anything of interest till their catalogue sell off is complete.
New Modern English album ‘1234’ out Friday
Original title that i wonder if Propaganda will sue them.
There’s also Unreadable Communication by Curve, a 4 CD box of the first two albums, Doppelganger and Cuckoo. They have the same tracks as the 2017 reissues albeit with the tracklisting for the non-album stuff shuffled about a bit.
Prince the vault- old friends 4 sale; out on 23 February 2024 @bol.com (dutch), JPC.de and Amazon
To be more specific a black vinyl version of the album originally released on cd and cassette in 1999.
Also out is Raven Numan’s debut single on the 23rd, hesitant to include it as it’s digital only but regardless considering who her pa is and the production team involved it’s far from nepotism and hopefully a stunning debut album is on the cards. Although still wish the long delayed re-produced versions of Sacrifice, Exile and Pure were also hitting the shelves, come on Ade and Gary if they are done and dusted just release ’em we don’t really need another live CD/DVD set of the last tour…
Is there an RSD preview in the works?
If my wallet doesn’t complain too much, both box sets from very classy groups The Waterboys and The Dream Academy look very enticing. That said, The Waterboys’ box set cover art, and even the title, seem much too generic and lame for the music’s halcyon days, which were anything but lame or generic.
On the other hand, kudos for nice cover art and a marvelous title for The Dream Academy set.
Lastly, many thanks to Paul Sinclair for an absolutely wonderful website, for curating absolutely stunning SDE blu-ray editions, and for keeping the infinitely rewarding flames for physical music media alive!
Sincerely,

Thanks Gary! :)
Hi Paul
As per Amazon UK the release date for Kim Wilde Love Blonde: The RAK Years is delayed until the first of March.
But Cherry Red Records still have it for the 23rd of February.
Neil Young has just announced a new Crazy Horse album, called F***in’ up, a reinterpretation of old classics. Apparently, it has been captured live. The clear vinyl will be issued for RSD, on april 20th, but you can also preorder it on his webstore. A black vinyl and CD will be available on april 26th.
Looking at his official store, the clear vinyl edition isn’t available in the UK market! Hopefully that will change.
I think it has sold out. It was on the UK webstore at the weekend. I bought it as I am busy on 20 April and I didn’t want to risk having to pay inflated prices. Limited editions are great. Less so if you have to buy in the first ten minutes the sale is live or get scalped. Official Neil product is pricy enough anyway.
Yes, great news and you can listen to the new version of “Over And Over” via the usual suspects, ace stuff!
It’s becoming a sobering occurrence but nothing again for me this week. My wallet may be pleased but I’m getting a bit depressed about this post-Christmas lull. Not there was an awful lot before Christmas, now that I think about it. Is this indication of the decline of physical media or of pop culture in general? At this point I’m just hoping for a Now 1970s Yearbook this Spring…
Also out Friday. Motörhead-The lost tapes- Volumes 1-5, 8cd box set. Volumes 1-4 have already been released on vinyl over the years. Volume 5 is new to vinyl. First time on cd for all of the volumes.
Awesome news ! Thank you !!
I was browsing the RSD 2024 list and noticed an interesting 12″ to be released for Ultravox’s Lament, with some Steven Wilson remixes on it taken from the forthcoming Lament deluxe. Anyone know when this is coming out?
It was also one of the more reasonably priced items in the list. But I’m sure we’ll get to that eventually ;)
Thanks for pointing that out. Looking forward to this and the Lament box.
Also out this week on Cherry Red – the Kissing The Pink anthology box set. Although far from complete, it’s nevertheless very welcome – also including new material.
Also out this week, a 6 track EP on 10″ vinyl and CD from Andy Partridge and Chris Braide. Queen Of The Planet Wow!
Another really good week for my wallet! :D
A combination of the cheaper Waterboys set due in April and cancelling the Dream Academy set having had a listen to the two CD best of I own, it has become a lot healthier for my bank balance too…..
I believe the Gentle Giant release has been put back to late March, sadly.
Once again Mike Scott is saying a clam box version is coming up on 5th April. Available to order on Amazon now:
