Nirvana / In Utero deluxe track listing revealed

Thanks to Amazon France the track listing has been revealed for the two-CD deluxe edition of Nirvana‘s In Utero reissue.

Fan site Nirvana Legacy offers some in-depth analysis of what’s on offer, but the long and the short of it is that disc one will contain the original remastered album, plus four tracks from the original B-sides /compilations, as well as alternate mixes of Pennyroyal Tea, Heart Shaped Box and All Apologies.

Disc two gives fans a ‘2013 Mix’ of the original album, plus a series of demo versions of tracks from various time periods.

The Super Deluxe Edition box set is widely expected to add the 17-track Live ‘n’ Loud 1993 MTV concert on both CD and DVD, to what is on offer on the two disc set.

  3. kinda lost with these. i’ve just received the 3xLP set at work, so haven’t played it – but have heard the second disc of the deluxe edition on spotify.

    what is it that’s on the vinyl, is it a remastered original (first disc of the CD), or the 2013 mix (second disc)? kinda hoping it’s the 2013 mix to be honest, as a supplement to the ORG pressing from 2009.

  5. If the info above is correct why would anyone buy the 4 disc set? Get the two disc set and the ‘live and loud’ DVD. You be paying 40-50 quid for ‘live and loud’ on CD if you go for the four disc set. No thanks.

    1. I think the book is the bigger draw than Live & Loud on CD, though I agree that it’s a lot to pay. The Nevermind book was mostly pictures, and not nearly as informative as some other sets, like say the McCartney ones.

  6. Although I’m seriously considering the Super Deluxe Edition, sound quality is one of my concerns. I will probably pick up the 2cd Deluxe and
    Live and Loud DVD first.
