  1. Great site with all the news on the more recent variation of my obsession……Super deluxe versions of some of the wonderful albums in my collection.

  2. Would love to win am a great audiophile fan! I started life with a quadraphonic system in the 70s and now love the quality of sound new technology offers us from physical media, of which a am a huge fan!

  3. This would be sweet to win but alas, I never win anything. Keep up the great work. Thanks to you I scored (hopefully) one of those John Martyn sets!

  4. I am and have always been into high fidelity music. If you love music and have a good set of ears go for the best.
I would love to win this pack to enhance my collection further

  5. For a super deluxe edition of christmas this year, this fabulous bundle will be used to, in one BIG final attempt, make my wife understand the importance of proper editions of my favourite records. After that is done, she will bring me square-shaped presents forever!

    Just saying…

    Happy christmas!

  6. I could swear I left a comment on 12/5 (or 5/12 if you prefer), but I don’t see it. So, at the risk of duplicating myself, count me in. Again if needed!

  7. some brilliant bands/singers would be great to add them to my music collection wife would go nutty at even more music coming into the house unlucky eh?

  8. Thank you for offering the chance to win such a fab prize, who ever wins will be just singing from the roof tops, fingers crossed it is me ;)

  9. I’m really happy that there are still people who care about sound quality to counter all this MP3 crap. This new format is a welcome successor to DVD-Audio and SACD, and I’d love to start collecting again!

  10. This pack contains a number of my favourite albums reproduced to the the height of their aural abilities! How could this not bring a smile to my dial and put an excited spring in my step? Please, smile upon me this Festive Season and fill my stocking with something other than varicose veins……..

  11. In the hat as well please, good interview. I can see why its mainly big catalogue sellers though, but overtime this will branch out i hope.
    Keep up the good work.

  12. I own a lot of SACDs and a handful of DTS/DVD Audio. I haven’t tried any Blu-ray audio discs yet, but I’m interested. A Blu-ray for Tears for Fears’ The Hurting excites me!

  13. Enter me in to the competition! I’m all for the music as the artist heard it when recording it. I’m a collector of Japanese papersleeves because I value packaging and attention to detail. So, to me, combining the two (package and sound) is essential. A DiskUnion glossy box to house an artist’s oeuvre would be my dream. The Japanese do it right with packaging (though they are sometimes late with remasters). Still the perfectionist in me wants it as it was released completely right down to the paper quality used as compared with the original. Hard cardboard (I.e. Beatles releases on Capitol in the 60’s) rather than stiff white board cardsleeves. Check out the Beatles Japanese Capitol albums vs. the American release. No comparison. Anyway, better sound is always a plus. Just try to be true to the original in every way like the Japanese do! Bravo.

  14. I just herd about these from my friend has a couple of these I hope I win these they sound realy good but expensive in the stores to buy thanks for the chance to win

  15. Great site! Nice to get these deals of the day in your mail.
Would like to get this set (its missing Diana Krall) and hope a lot of titles will follow.

  16. Wow! These titles would be great in my collection..I’m intrigued by the Dire Straits demos…Thank you for the opportunity to enter this contest!

  17. Let’s add some nonsense … I read about a job interview:
“What’s your greatest weakness?” “Honesty.” “I don’t think honesty is a weakness.” “I don’t give a fuck what you think.”
So, my honest comment: I love Dire Straits.

  18. Great blog, Subscribed, and commented. No to sit back and wait! Just getting into quality audio and equipment, this would make for a excellent base to build on. Much appreciate the opportunity…

  19. Thank you for this interview. I do hope things get better in the future. Please release all Dire Straits on HFPA and I will buy them again, if the master is ok.

  20. Sounds like a great competition.

So rare are the sites offering such goodies.

I may not be the winner, but at least I was quite interested in this particular post.

    Thank you.

    :-)

  21. I just discovered this website and love it! The contest is a great idea and I hope I win but I have one unanswered question: All physical music formats until now have been universal, i. e. Region Zero. Will the high-res Pure Audio format be restricted geographically as Blu-ray video is? I hope you can say a resounding [possibly pun intended] no. Until then I remain a vinyl record fan.

  22. Thanks so much for this great interview that led to the giveaway. I really enjoyed how you pressed, but in a respectful manner that elicited good answers.

I, too, want this to work because I love music, and I also love great sound. Hopefully this format will evolve to give us lots of both…

  23. Hi I just subscribed to the Newsletter and I am loving the new Blu Ray Pure Audio format I have 4 titles already and about a dozen on my wish list. Keep up the good work on this site.

  24. I am astounded by the Pure Audio titles I already have picked up. As noted in the article, I am one of the many listeners who really desire surround sound, and as such, those are the Pure Audio discs I have. I wish some of the recent releases were available in 5.1, but understand the sourcing and re-mixing issues.

  25. Oh my! Oh my! Having read the interview above with Olivier Robert-Murphy, I am drooling at the thought of possibly winning this collection. I would love to sample this new format and the selections in the set are all stuff I love! :)

  26. I took the risk HFPA would brighten the music with the Stones GRRR! Glad I did, this is grrreat stuff and I look forward to new issues! Great prize! Keep it coming!

  27. Would love to win these and am just happy that companies are still making high resolution audio. Hoping for more 5.1 selections because the Beck Sea Change BR is incredible.

  28. Please count me in on winning this superb set!

But I would also be very grateful for just beeing one of the three runners-up, because I already own two of these great discs (the Rolling Stones discs, of course). But if the music god should be on my side for winning the complete set, I would like to send my two Stones discs for free to two of the guys in this thread who are loving the Stones too and weren´t picked instead of me…

  29. you have to be in it, to win it! keep up the good work! ps had news of two more small faces deluxe editions, autumn stone & there are but four small faces – autumn stone will mop up all the outakes etc not on the box set

  30. Loved the interview with Olivier. Great competition. Goes without saying that I would LOVE to win this. Thanks for the opportunity! :)

  31. Btw I dislike Supertramp so if I win, let me know if you want the Supertramp and I can send it to you if you’re in the US and postage is reasonable

  32. I’m entering this contest. However, I hope someone who isn’t familiar with “Melody Nelson” wins it just so they can discover it. What a record.

  33. This is a really nice contest. All I have to say is that if I don’t win, my reaction will be GRRR!

If it’s not me, though, congratulations to the winner. You’ve got some great listening ahead of you.

  34. What a great site, and a nice prize, although just audio in this day and age seems a little retrograde. Especially when you see what XTC have done with the content on Nonsuch.

  35. It’s amazing how technology can always surprise a music lover, like me. This can be a wonderful Christmas gift. I hope it can be shared with all my closest friends (brother included).
