The high resolution blu-ray audio of The Rolling Stones‘ Let It Bleed will be issued on 24 February 2014.
The 1969 album will be the third Rolling Stones release to get the Pure Audio treatment after the GRRR! release in late 2012 kicked off the format and Exile On Main Street arrived in the latter part of 2013.
The album was a critical and commercial success, knocking The Beatles‘ Abbey Road off the top spot (in the UK) and was the last record to feature Brian Jones. Well known tracks include Midnight Rambler, You Can’t Always Get What You Want, and Gimme Shelter.

Why no release or pre-order date for the U.S.? I have noticed that this type of market launches of blu ray audio are always developed in other parts of the world and not in North America. An example is Imagine by John Lennon.
I’ll only be buying the discs that contain 5.1 mixes I don’t have because all the feedback I have read so far is that these HFPA releases sound no different from previous CD versions in all but a few cases.
If it contained some video footage, mono mix and maybe a 5.1 mix I would buy it. As it is I won’t be getting it, have the SACD which sounds great.
But how will the sound compare to the 2003 SACDs? I find no discernible difference between the ABKCO tracks on the ‘Grrrr’ BR and the corresponding ones on the catalogue SACDs.
Still flogging the same old stuff to the ever loyal fans.
This is £13 in the UK, and the equivalent of £21 in France. Ridiculous.

Could you post a list of the blu-ray audio discs released so far? What is retail price on these? 20 Pounds?

The recent Genesis Blu-ray of Selling England By The Pound dropped from £18.99 when released to £14.10 on Amazon UK so prices will fluctuate, especially on Amazon.
Anywhere between £10 and £20 seems to be the average price for most though.
Yes, as David says, prices do vary between £10 and £20. Tears For Fears “The Hurting” dropped to £13 for a bit, but it’s back up to £15.
