Prize draw for the 4CD and 3LP vinyl editions
I am pleased to say that after a lengthy break, SDE competitions are back and over the coming months you can expect some excellent giveaways featuring popular box sets and reissues. We will start with the rather groovy Now Yearbook ’83 which came out at the end of June.
This release offers 80 tracks across four CDs or a 43-track selection across a 3LP set (pressed on translucent red vinyl).
SDE has five copies of both the deluxe four-CD package and the 3LP red vinyl set to give away! The prize draw is open to all SDE Members. Simply ensure you are logged in, choose the format you’d like to win and submit your entry into the competition in the poll below! If you aren’t an SDE member yet, it’s free and easy to sign-up.

Many thanks for the opportunity to win this great price. I have been a collector for +40 years and remember the days of frequently taking home bulging carrier bags with logs of new LPs, 12″ and 7″ singles well. So much to discover and explore. Without the internet back then, it was often difficult (but also very exciting) to try and find out what a newly discovered artist had released previously and in which format. (You had to get all the different formats of course). Thanks for all the good work.

I hope this release was successful enough for them to consider further releases, because I very much want 84-88 to come out. They were my NOW years. I’m pretty sure NOW 6 was the best release, not only for the tracklisting but one of the better covers too.

I already own this [CD] and for a ‘NOW!’ it is indeed super, deluxe and very nice little edition. Good luck to everyone. The Blue Monday is the original 7.29 [inc fade out] version, if that helps.

As a CD lover who doesn’t have a turntable I’ve naturally gone for the vinyl version.

Just as a heads up for everyone, the reviews (eg on Amazon) seem to suggest the vinyls are of very poor quality.

I went for the CD as it has a track from Hasi Fantasi, I owned the album and loved it, I was a weird kid lol.

Which version of Blue Monday?
Discogs is useless.
There was only one version (excluding The Beach) in 1983. The original. The first remix didn’t come out until 1988.Having said that, with 6 tracks on that side, I doubt very much it is the full 7 minute plus version.
I would love the vinyl version. It looks tremendous
