  1. George Michael’s Older Super Deluxe Box Set is now down to £79.27 on Amazon UK with Global deals UK be quick as there are only 4 left in stock (£20 cheaper than i paid for it last month typical)

  2. The special edition Now Yearbooks for 2000-2001 and 2002-2003 are £3.85 and £3.27 respectively on Amazon at the moment.

Tracklistings maybe not to everyone’s tastes, but can’t argue with those prices.

    1. I’d noticed those. Probably not selling that well. I think most people interested in these releases are looking for years 197x – 198x, maybe pushing into the 90s. That’s why there’s such a fuss about the (so far) missing 87 and 89 yearbooks. Grrr! I just wanna finish my collection :(

    2. I’ll admit I have been collecting the Yearbooks from the 20th century from the start and despite having the tracks I like on the 21st century versions elsewhere at the price these 2 were going for I pulled the trigger on both even though the majority of what’s on them isn’t that great in my opinion. With that being said whilst I have bought the others upon release I have noticed that the other Yearbooks seem to drop in price really quickly leading me to realise that the best option is to potentially wait a week or two as the standard CD versions of most of the rest of the Yearbooks can be had for about half the price of when they were released.

  3. The small drop in price and the fact they’re being posted from Amazon US makes me think that the who sell out and Bowie’s conversation piece super deluxe boxes are going to be disappearing soon from Amazon uk.

  4. Two vinyl albums by that fine pop band prefab sprout, swoon ( their 1st album) and protest songs are down to £14.52 each on rarewaves uk.

  5. Atom Heart Mother “Hakone Aphrodite” Japan 1971 (Special CD & Blu-Ray Limited Edition)i just bought from amazon uk for £17.99 new

  6. the sheer excellence of Donna Summer’s “I’m a Rainbow” Remixed and Recoloured is 2LP vinyl is now just it £7.60.

  7. The 6 disc Police Synchronicity [40th Anniversary Edition / Super Deluxe Edition] [SHM-CD] is on Amazon UK for £29.39 , I’ve ordered one, let’s see what happens lol

    1. I’ve ordered one. Weirdly it seems the release date for this is 3 weeks after the full priced edition and 2 cd, vinyl etc. What’s the difference?

      1. The description on Amazon says “The contents of this release will be identical to the worldwide release, except for SHM-CD format and a description with Japanese translation”. I Googled shm-cds – it says they will play on all CD players, so I’ve gone for it too.

      2. If it’s SHM this should be the Japanese version and the extra time allows for importing. Wondering if someone left a ‘1’ off the front of the price; the set is £126 on CD Japan incl VAT but excl shipping.

      3. Yes, good luck everybody, let’s hope they honour the price. I think the release date difference could be to do with it actually being the SHM-CD Japanese import version of this set, rather than the U.K./Europe one. I’m not certain, but possibly this explains the slightly different release date.

      4. The blurb for it on the Amazon page shows it as being a Japanese version of some kind:

The contents of this release will be identical to the worldwide release, except for SHM-CD format and a description with Japanese translation. Super deluxe edition of “Synchronicity” from The Police consists of 6 SHM-CDs.

        1. The above was in answer to Eamonn Mooney above when he asked “What’s the difference?”

I ordered at £29.40 and I didn’t realise it was the Japanese SHM-CD edition which is even more of a ‘bargain.’

’Bargain’ being operative word because this is obviously a mistake and nobody at Amazon have yet noticed because it’s still £29.40 and in my opinion the more orders they take at this price the less chance of Amazon honouring the price. I hope I’m wrong, I often am!

      5. The Amazon description says that “The contents of this release will be identical to the worldwide release, except for SHM-CD format and a description with Japanese translation.” Which would perhaps account for the delay, if not the price.

    2. I bought it as well, if its as described they’ve missed the 1 at the beginning of the price (possibly 2 the shm-cds from Japan are expensive) case of wait and see.

    3. Muchas gracias Antonio! Ordered one too but most probably we will get our orders cancelled, yesterday amazon only showed +50 bought last month today it is above 300 ordered same period. Do not think they can cover that gap for such a huge amount of orders as this was clearly a pricing mistake. Good luck to all though

      1. I noticed the the total number ordered had jumped when I placed mine too – given how quick they are to change the amount (dynamic pricing?) for other things (the forthcoming 2CD Oasis ‘Definitely Maybe’ in point which went from £12.99 to £17.99, I assume in response to lots of orders), am a bit surprised the number of orders for the 6CD Synchronicity set wasn’t flagged by an algorithm/AI and changed/corrected. Anyway, we’ll see … fingers crossed. Thanks Antonio

      2. Over 500 now. By far the biggest selling version of this release on amazon. If they’re 100 less than they should be that represents a loss of over 50 grand. Cant see them honouring it. Might get a five euro voucher for my trouble. At best

    4. Upon searching I decided whilst I didn’t want to pay top dollar for this box set to order one of these box sets myself, will be interesting to see if indeed it does come through as £29 is a much more palatable price than what it is for the UK spec box set and if the only thing missing is the book then I’m not bothered about not having that bit as it’s the music I’m more interested in. Fingers crossed! And thank you Antonio for the tip!

    5. Well, ordered but one thing is bothering me. On the description of the SHM edition it says 64-page booklet, not LAVISH hardback colour book as on the other edition. My guess is this is going to be a clamshell box with a small booklet and an extra booklet in Japanese. Paul, any idea?

      1. Yes it reached number 1 of box sets sales. They may still not have noticed and it simply sold out. That low price has been up there for over 4 days

  8. John Hughes Mixtapes Life Moves Pretty Fast Superdeluxe Edition 4 cd, 1 casette and 1x 45 vinyl disc, now only £20 on Amazon UK

  9. For anyone thinking of buying Bowie’s divine symmetry box set on Amazon uk for £80, the same seller is selling it for £69.95 on their eBay shop.

      1. Hi, yes fully reliable. I ordered some RSD records back in April and they were shipped within a short time frame. Such a pity that some records I bought are now sold at half price but it only shows that RSD is overrated and you should not jump immediately on supposedly rare records.

  10. Joni Mitchell Archives: The Asylum Years (1972-1975) is £44.99 on Amazon and ebay at the moment from seller Global Deals which is a big drop from the price at the weekend

  11. 1 sealed copy of the yes album super deluxe box set ( lp + CDs + Blu-ray) £63 + £4 postage from “music online shop” on eBay. 1 only left, apparently.

  12. Prince Sign O The Times massive cd box set now $86 on Prince’s official website. If you can, grab the 10% discount that they give to new customers. That would make it $78!
    store.prince.com

  13. I don’t know if they sell to other people then the Dutch, but at bol.com you can get:

    • Bob Dylan – the complete Budokan 4cd box – 67,05 euros. It was 122 euros.
    • Level 42- The later years 1991-1998 – 7cd box – 19,28 euros
  14. This may be of interest to a McCartney fan, global deals on eBay have the 2017 vinyl issue of “pipes of peace” (which I believe is 180 gram tho’ I can’t be absolutely certain) sealed for £8.47 post free.

      1. It’s a 10 disc 7” vinyl box set, you can’t really compare it to the cd version. It depends why you’re buying it. If you just want the music, buy the cd, if you’re after a nice collectible, AND the music, buy the vinyl. They are really good pressings to boot. It’s horses for courses. The deals gone anyway, back up to just under £80…

    1. The problem is anyone buying this is putting money into the pocket of Dave Clark a truly despicable man.

None of the royalties will go to former DC5 members apart from him, in fact no royalties ever went to any of the former members.

Definitely none of the songwriting royalties will go were they should go, to the guys who wrote the songs, good ole Dave saw to the way back in the 60’s when he swindled them.

The only good thing that came from the advent of CDs is Dave Clark held back before he’d authorise DC5 material being released in the digital format hankering for a bigger deal which the greedy b@st@rd didn’t get. The CDs when they were released selling zilch.

He couldn’t play the f##kin’ drums either.

  15. Wings – At The Speed Of Sound vinyl album is £19.09 on Amazon.Uk.
Comes from Amazon.us international, so delivery time to Uk isn’t quick but is still free to Prime members. Only 6 copies available.

  16. Rarewaves are offering 10% off everything until Friday. Took the plunge on Bowie Rock n Roll Star box set as not far off release. £127.92 is probably the cheapest pre order price so with discount the price came to £115.12.

    1. Care. Seems the code can be used only once. Went back for a second bite and got “code invalid”. Also, rarewaves take payment upfront for pre-orders.

      1. Not come across that, placed a few individual orders and code accepted each time. Pre-orders it’s a game of chance but that can pay off, my Bowie pre-order is now sold out.

  17. Decent price on Amazon UK for the Vinyl version of Tom Petty’s An American Treasure.
£94 including delivery. Also on Amazon.de

  18. Outstanding Amazon UK deal on the recent Alice Cooper Billion Dollar Babies 50th Anniversary 2CD – down 74% to £5.05 at the moment.

    1. Strangely, the only thing I have by Alice is a flexi-disc for this album that came free with my NME way back in 1973. I believe Slick Black Limousine was originally recorded specially for this flexi-disc!
I always intended to get the album but never did – now I have!

    2. You gotta love Amazon, I went to site as soon as I saw this and it showed as £5.05. I pressed buy it now but then realised I had been charged £19.

Went back to main item page..still showing £5.05 so took a screenshot, then I saw the price change to £19.11 but still showed the £5.05 in the smaller box.

CD just arrived…messaged Amazon complaining of the price discrepancies and said I had screenshots to prove what I was saying.

The friendly guy had a quick look at pricing history and apologised but rather than refunding me the difference said he would refund the price in full and told me to enjoy my free CD

  19. There’s a 15% off Memorial Day sale today at Rhino.com if anyone is after their Atmos Blu-Rays of Rumours, Best of The Doors or Jagged Little Pill – $21.23 each (and free US shipping over $50).

  20. HMV’s sale has gone from 40% to 50% off with code DEAL50. Usual caveats apply but one deal is for…
Nirvana ‘Nevermind’ SDE 5CD+Blu Ray which is £60 with the code whilst stocks last.

You will need to do the graft yourselves to find what you like but there are some decent deals on NOW titles in the hardback format: 83-93 / 93-2003 / 03-2013 / 13-2023 @ £7.50 each with the code above.

    1. … also only £19 for the double vinyl set (with voucher offer) on Amazon UK. (Both the CD and LP offers are matching the HMV DEAL50 prices.)

    2. Watch out as there’s a “reduced mail package option” showing as default on this one. You can change the tick box to “hide in Amazon packaging”.

  21. In my peek-a-boo on Amazon I see Prince Welcome 2 America had jumped back up to £101 and is now down to £75! Having been £37 would anyone pay more now?

Jesus Jones’ 15CD box set is now a cracking £53!

  22. Sound of vinyl US has 30% off Summer Sale. I just bagged Abba 3lp Live at Wembley Half Speed Abbey Road for USD 36.00. Seems to be OOP and commanding high prices on discogs. Arrival half speed is still available for 72.00. Maybe it is included on the Summer sale.

  23. The rolling stones “bridges to bremen” 2cd + Blu-ray is £9 on Amazon uk, although it’s listed as dvd in the heading and br in the info it is definitely the Blu-ray they’re selling.

  24. Over on polydor records store site there’s a 20% off sale. Lots of coloured vinyl, half speed vinyl and cd. Abba, the who, stones (sticky fingers cd box £32) and lots more. The who who’s next 40th + live San Francisco 4lp vinyl set is £32.

  25. Rarewaves are selling the Super Furry Animals- Phantom Power 3CD for £8.80 – a great price as long as you’re buying something else to hit the £10 spend to qualify for free delivery (if not, they’re selling it for about £10.50 incl delivery on eBay).

  26. Any of the SDE gang near Oxfam Ealing on the Green, my last lot of doubles dropped off, they’ve priced them well, a mountain of Depeche Mode cd singles, some Beatles CDs, Arcadia vinyl , loads of cassettes too

  27. Not sure if this is a good deal or not but the Beatles Revolver 4LP/7” set is £80 on Amazon IT – notable because that’s still cheaper than the CD super deluxe set on nearly every other Amazon site.

    1. I’m surprised the CD super deluxe set has still not dropped right down in price like the others did. I’m still waiting and hoping!

  28. De La Soul has their 2nd album (De La Soul is dead) reissued in the US as best buy preorder in opaque yellow vinyl. Limited to 1000 initially for 35.99. Shipping will start next week.

  29. Ebay.com seller getimportcds has madfish’s 8 vinyl boxset from W.A.S.P. called 7 Savage for $218 incl. free shipping here in the US. Reviews are conflicted but presentation seems to be good. Guilty pleasure once in a while and The Crimson Idol is a great record, though.
    I am undecided. Still.

  30. Pink Floyd deal is not the Japanese edition but an EU made version of this.
Not sure if the CD has the same audio as the Japanese.

      1. Worldwide version has the same contents as the Japanese version including booklets, posters etc. Only difference is the gold sticker on the front is in English and it doesn’t contain a small leaflet linked to a competition to win a T-shirt.
Worth getting for the concert footage on the Blu-ray.

      2. Received today, it is indeed a very nice package, as all Japanese 7″ package releases i own.
A great deal in the UK, but for the EU it has over 10€ shipping cost and EU amazons do have “free delivery” but at the UK + shipping price of 38€, which is still a fair price.

    1. My copy arrived today. SDE level robust packaging. Yes, it’s made in Germany and has English language text on the gold sticker. But it’s a thing of beauty to cherish!

  31. China Crisis’ 3 CD deluxe version of ‘What Price Paradise’ is currently only £5.83 on Amazon UK. A great album at a great price.

  32. Rarewaves uk have Frank zappa “whiskey a go go 1968” 3cd set for a pre-order price of £17.52. most others are around the the £23 mark.

  33. Pink Floyd Hakone Aphrodite edition of Atom Heart Mother is £21.59 from Global Deals. Same price on Amazon UK or eBay. This is the large format Japanese edition with the BluRay and assorted bits and bobs.

    1. That reminds me I have that ‘Hakone…’ edition, delivered weeks ago for a similar price, probably the same dealer. I’m gonna check it out and give it a play.

  34. Not sure if this is the page to post on, but this is a sort of deal. There’s a very good Book & Record Fair, being held at St John’s Wood Church, by the Lord’s Roundabout, NW8 7NE. I went there yesterday (Saturday 18th) and there weren’t many people there (it hasn’t been that well advertised) and there was lots of great vinyl up for grabs. Ex Capital Radio DJ Kelly Temple has basically donated his record collection. Lots of great late 70’s and early 80’s 7″, 12″ and albums. Also lots of promo copies and the odd signed one. It’s open again today Sunday 19th between 1.00pm and 4.00pm. It will also b open for the rest of next week, but if you want to pop in call Martin Aldred first on 07855 822315 and let him know you’re on your way and he will open the church for you. 7″ records & CD’s start at £1 and LP’s start at £2. Most of the picture sleeves (and albums) were in very good nick. Some great bargains to be found and all in aid of charity.

    1. Think the deal might be gone now. However, the John Niven hardcover novel on this is currently half-price on Amazon in case anyone is interested.

    1. Oh, thank you so much! I just managed to order before the deal ended. Looking forward to projecting the blu ray concert onto my wall.

  35. Thanks to John Raymond, I have ordered the Jesus Jones Some Of The Answers Box (Signed Edition) for £55.
Curiously the regular unsigned edition is not reduced.

  36. Michael Head has added a deluxe CD version of his new album Loophole (out today) to his website for £6.99 – 6 bonus live tracks included on that one. Luckily for me I didn’t pre-order this one, so it’s a decent price.

    1. I ordered this and the book but kept my order for the regular CD. Michael Head isn’t a wealthy man and let’s face it ‘Loophole’ and 6 extra tracks for £6.99! And the postman just dropped off my order for the limited edition Loophole Duck Egg Green LP & 7” single. I suppose you could call me daft but I.M.H.O. Michael Head is the greatest living English Singer/Songwriter.

  37. Just received my copy of genesis’s bbc broadcasts 3lp vinyl. I know on release it met with some criticism on here, myself included, but holding it in my hands you can see what a nice item it is. A trifold layout in thickish card, 180gram vinyl (that’s very flat) and thick card sleeves with all the track listing + other info and all for £21.75 from a seller on eBay
. New and sealed. Really pleased with this purchase.

  38. Steve Miller Band – Complete Albums Volume 2 (1977-2011) vinyl 9 LP box set from smeikalbooks.co.uk at £99.92

My copy arrived today, well packaged, brand new, sealed and mint.

  39. Muse – Absolution XX 2CD/3LP is down to £64 on Amazon UK (think it was £130 when it was first released last year).

And there’s a 3rd party seller offering the Bowie Divine Symmetry 4CD/BR set on ebay for £64 (or £79 on Amazon UK)

  40. Rarewaves UK have some fairly good bargains under their “Vinyl under GBP 15” banner (used to be under GBP10 – lol)
Neil Young’s Citizen Kane & Dorothy Chandler GPB 11, Silver & Gold GBP 13, Homegrown GBP10
Leonard Cohen – Songs of Love & Hate GBP11
Crowded House – Dreamers are Waiting GBP13
Many more if you’ve got the time to go through them all!

  41. Anyone on the hunt for Mark Knopfler’s “The Boy” RSD24 Vinyl EP it can be picked up from Reflex Records in Newcastle at £19.99 plus postage. Selling for over double that on E Bay.

  42. Amazon UK have one copy left of the Small Faces Ogdens Nut Gone Flake Red/White/Blue Triple Vinyl Boxset at the price
of £29.16 including free delivery. Seem to recall this was originally priced at around £50. Not sure why Amazon have got the reference to Johnny Cash though!

  43. Frank Zappa’s 200 Motels 50th anniversary 6 CD box set has been sub £35 on Amazon UK for a while now. Mine came yesterday and pleased to say that the issue of the duplicate disc 2 and missing disc 4 on early editions is now resolved. A well put together set with tons of dialogue, outtakes and radio ads. Some of the dialogue is dispensable and probably won’t get played very much, but I was swayed by the extra instrumental/orchestral tracks which certainly will!

  44. Old Shakey again….Neil Young + Promise of the Real’s double live album Noise and Flowers reduced from £24.27 to £14.99 on Amazon UK.

      1. Yep I saw that almost as soon as my post was submitted and I had purchased. But £7.99 for CD is OK and considering the vinyl is a double and beautifully packaged / poly lined sleeves etc. £19.99 still not a bad price. Great album as well. Divides opinion regards the live sound but personally I think it sounds great.

          1. The LP was £15 last week for a day or two which was quite a bargain.

Though I missed it, I got a message that the LP / CD / Blu-ray video boxed version was going for £30.

            Both worth watching.

          2. LP / CD / Blu-ray video back down to £32 this morning. 8 left at time of writing.

  45. Neil Young Barn deluxe set back down to £23 on Amazon UK. Like the Bryan Ferry set in my previous post it goes up and down daily so if you don’t get it today try it tomorrow

  46. Ferry,Bryan Mamouna/Horoscope double lp on Amazon uk for £16.31. It’s been going up and down daily so if you don’t get it today keep checking.

    1. Gotta feel sorry for the guy trying to sell a used copy for £143. Hmm.. new AND signed for 1/3 the price or used for much MUCH more?

  47. Christmas is still a long way off, but at amazon.es they have the super deluxe edition (4CD+blu-ray) of Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas for 41,3€

  48. A couple of items that may be of interest. A couple of sellers on eBay have sealed copies of Genesis “bbc broadcasts” 3lp vinyl set for £23-25 mark, while another has Rolling stones “live at the racket NY” sealed RSD white vinyl edition for £22.50 includes p+ p.

    1. Thanks georgec for that re Stones Racket. Think they might have over-pressed that one, but nice to get it at £22.50. Cheaper than the price on the day which was £27.99 I think over counter.

  49. Bob Dylan – The Complete Budokan 1978 4CD deluxe set at £108 delivered to Great Britain – 22% off currently: https://amzn.to/3UBI6ow Still over £25 per CD, but a lovely presented box and who knows if this will ever drop or ever be released in more basic packaging. Not a huge saving, but best price I’ve seen and other regions seem to have increased in price recently.

    1. Got it for £104 a week after release from Amazon Germany, their mistake but they honoured the price.

      1. Well done on that. This is nearly as good a price. I have a feeling this isn’t going to drop or I certainly don’t want to miss buying it. I’ve waited 6 months. It’ll probably plummet now I’ve pulled the trigger!

        1. The big Bootleg series CD boxes have all dropped to between £50-80 at around 12 months post-release somewhere in Europe and I’m hedging my bets on the same here – always a gamble on these things, though!

          1. Agree Matt D, it may drop. The only thing is, is this (as you know) is a luxury “marbles” type box and quite niche, a marmite “vegas” period (I love it) and Street Legal is my fave, hence me caving in. I wonder if this might be thought of as a luxury item and pressed in smaller quantities and they’ll just wait it out at the high price. I’m happy to pay £24 over £80 to have it now, but might wince if it ever hit £50, but hey ho, Beatles Let It Be Box at £33. Who’d have thunk it!

          2. I doubt Budokan will go much lower and it is definitely limited. But good luck if you get lucky.

  50. Fans of the Rolling Stones ([Coloured Vinyl) may be pleased to pick up Amazon exclusive colours of albums NOT included in the mono box at Amazon.com (ships to UK also). I’m not saying these are mono, just that these two weren’t in the box in any form (US debut is particularly cheap)…
England’s Newest Hit Makers Teal [Amazon Exclusive] $10.40 https://amzn.to/3UyAXVX
Through The Past, Darkly (Big Hits Vol. 2) [UK] [Magenta LP] [Amazon Exclusive] $19.75 (but fluctuating up and down)
    https://amzn.to/3y7PRv5

    1. They may post to the UK but despite the fact that Northern Ireland where I live is part of the UK they don’t post to us due to the stupid Brexit nonsense and so in the past I’ve had to get stuff posted to my brother in Glasgow who then has to send it on to me which means I now rarely order off Amazon America anymore.

      1. Sorry for your situation Stevie C, I was unaware of that and that is unfortunate and seems unfair. I hope if you wish to order you can use your work-around. It must be very frustrating.

      2. Yes Stevie. Same problem for me. I have ordered items from Amazon France but the USA won’t deliver here. It’s frustrating.

        1. Be careful with returning vinyl to Amazon France as I was given an address somewhere in the Czech Republic for them as I had to return a warped LP to them and you also have to pay to return stuff to them which you can claim back off them and I got my refund and the postage in this case but also got the warped LP sent back to me as the place I was asked to post to refused to accept it for some bizarre reason! For that reason I despite Amazon France and occasionally Germany being cheaper for vinyl I don’t order off them for vinyl only CD because even though CDs can have faults too they’re less likely than vinyl and so in terms of Amazon anyway I only order vinyl off their UK site as they have free returns and less hassle plus I found when I was trying to order some of the REM reissues on vinyl it wouldn’t let me do it as it was over a certain figure if ordered through Amazon France. I think it was something to do with a tax for importing goods but the transaction physically wouldn’t go through and I was refunded straight away every time I tried to do so.

          1. Thanks Stevie. I’ve stopped ordering from France as they ended up taking a monthly prime subscription from me that i hadn’t requested (i already pay a uk subscription). I only noticed it when checking my bank account and they had taken 3 months fees from me. It was an ordeal trying to get it cancelled and the saving I made on my purchase was lost due to the prime subscription! Think I’ll try and shop local from now on.

          2. i sympathise! The Amazon.fr site is definitely unclear about the Prime sub, and it pestered me for a while after I placed an order implying I *had* to go back to the site and opt for (their) Prime.

      3. Wasn’t aware of that Stevie C. Is it for all Amazon.com products? I am in the Republic of Ireland and have no issue ordering items from Amazon US. If I pick the faster shipping option, stuff gets here ridiculously fast – items ordered on Monday 6th turned up this morning 9th. I primarily use them for blu-rays that only get a US release.

        1. Yes it is for all Amazon.com products, the difference is because you’re in the Republic you’re in the EU which is why you can order direct from America.

  51. I grabbed the Yes box yesterday as soon as I saw this post. It was a little bit cheaper when I clicked on the link $52.80. Glad I didn’t hesitate as it’s now up to $77.17.
Thanks for the heads up Paul!

    1. I don’t get what’s going on, but I’ve never seen the Yes box at $53. Just checked right now, and it’s still at $77. There is a used copy (“Very Good”; “Looks and functions as if it were new. Item may not come in original packaging.”) for $53.

      1. It certainly was $53 but only lasted for a few hours. Everyone in the US who has signed up for deal alerts got the email…

  52. As a big Who fan in Germany, difficult to pass up the Who with orchestra for EUR 9,50. Even though that is only a 5% discount on the apparent full price !

    1. It’s a 5% discount on the Amazon “Was Price” not the full or original price.

      • The Was Price is the median selling price or “middle value” paid by customers for a product on Amazon, excluding promotional prices. This means that 50% of customers purchased the product at a price below the Was Price and 50% at a price above the Was Price.
      1. So I have to ask What Price is the Who Price if it isn’t the Was Price? Is this why they’re bringing back Our Price? :-D

  53. I usually don’t get caught up in “loudness wars” discussions, but the 40th anniversary of ‘Tattoo You’ is painfully loud and compressed. I’ll stick with my Virgin remaster.

  54. The Stones’ Hackney Diamonds 2CD set is available from a “third party seller” known as Amazon UK on Amazon AU for the bargain price of AUD $45.16 (about GBP 23) and yet Amazon UK are selling it for GBP 6. WTF!!!.
I know us Aussies “love” being ripped off but this is just ridiculous!
(Footnote – for those who aren’t aware, ever since Amazon geo-blocking became a thing, Australians can access some and I repeat, some items from Amazon UK & US via Amazon AU. They are listed a third party sellers!)

  55. For those who haven’t purchased Elton’ Madman SDE yet – buy it!!. Apart from the music content, the hardcover book is fabulous.

    1. That is one of my all time favorite box sets. Really wish we had seen something similar for the last three Elton reissues. Maybe for GYBR?

      1. Same here Presto. Honky Chateau & Don’t Shoot Me are my 2 favourite EJ albums, although the three before (Elton John, Tumbleweed & Madman) are a close second. At least we got deluxe editions &/or SACD’s for those. Unfortunately nothing for Don’t Shoot Me except a 2LP which is a real shame.
They probably will do GYBR next although to be honest, it’s been done to death already!

  56. I’ve bought the Let it be boxset at a very low price on amazon, and honestly, it is absolutely wonderful, it made me discover the album again. Now, I’m waiting for a real bargain for the Revolver reissue.

    1. I don’t have an Atmos setup and I bought the single LP of Let It Be, but at £33 I’m faintly tempted for the book.
