  1. The Rarewaves 10% off also applies to pre-orders, which means the Genesis Lamb Lies Down Super Deluxe (4CD/1BR) goes down to £69.43 – released 28th March 2025.
    Elsewhere: HMV £90, Amazon £86.

  2. For anyone interested, rarewaves have a 10% off Black Friday sale on at present and so I managed to snag David Bowie’s Divine Symmetry which was £72 on their website and I know this is slightly more expensive than Amazon at £69.99 but with 10% off that meant I got it for just over £65 which was a bit of a result.

  3. Dire Straits The Live Albums 12 LP Box set now 30% off on The Sound of Vinyl in Blsck Friday deals. A good saving of £60 comes to around 12 a disc

  4. Our most talked about release this year – Police Synchronicity Super Deluxe (6CD/Book/Prints/stuff) is at £45.93 (Brand New/free shipping) via Music Magpie’s Ebay shop. Price shows at £57.41, but code BLACKFRIDAY20 gets you to £45.93. They had 10 left this morning, Thursday 28th Nov. Amazon currently at £60.

    1. Had a damaged box set recently from Music Magpie. The packaging was so tight around the box that one corner split. Beware!
Rarewaves have it at £43.57 when using their latest 10% discount code.

  5. Started out 2 years ago at £170, Keith Richards’ Main Offender Super Deluxe (2LP/2CD/Book/Stuff) is at £61.70 (Brand New/free shipping) via Music Magpie’s Ebay shop. Price shows at £77.13, but code BLACKFRIDAY20 gets you to £61.70. There were 8 left when I bought this morning, Thursday 28th Nov. HMV and Amazon UK currently at £80.

  6. Still a little pricey for me but the 3CD 30th anniversary edition of Suede’s Dog Man Star in the 7” packaging is down to £19.67 on Amazon UK (started at £28 when it released a couple of months ago).

  7. Thursday, November 28, 2024… Amazon Canada… Bryan Ferry: “Retrospective – Selected Recordings 1973-2023” is a “Black Friday Deal” at 20 per cent off… $158.55 Canadian.

  8. Funny, the description for LA Woman says “The last album The Doors recorded, L.A. Woman, was also their best seller.”

They actually released two more studio albums after Jim’s death. I don’t think most people know this (I didn’t until earlier this year).

    1. That’s true but they weren’t proper Doors’ albums as such, they were without Jim Morrison, because he was dead, so not really the Doors. There was also a third album, An American Prayer which is effectively Jim Morrison reading poetry over the Doors’ music. None of them were able to replicate the Doors as we knew them.

  9. AMZ US Deals:
Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision Box Set $69 (43% off $120 list price)
    Devo – Hardcore Live! Blu-ray $10 (50% off $20 list price)

  10. AngelHeaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan & T.Rex (Collector’s Edition) Blu-Ray + DVD in amazon Spain at 7€

AngelHeaded Hipster is the first documentary to explore the creation and interpretation of the Music and Lyrics of Marc Bolan who died at the age of 29 in 1977. Using archival performances, interviews with Bolan, and filmed interpretations by artists such as Nick Cave, John Cameron Mitchell, Joan Jett, Macy Gray, U2, Lucinda Williams, Father John Misty, & others, this documentary creates an exuberant and thoughtful celebration of a true original; Glam Rock pioneer, gender-bending free spirit and explorer of punk and soul music with his last partner musician Gloria Jones, who is interviewed extensively from Sierra Leone. Illuminated with interviews by his great friend David Bowie, Ringo Starr, Elton John and many more, this film creates a new kind of music lookback intertwined with cinema verité footage captured directly from the studio with legendary Avant-Garde Record Producer Hal Willner who tragically died of COVID in 2020 after completing what would be his final album. EXTRAS: Trailer, Subtitles, Exclusive interviews and more

    1. Aye that’s what I paid for it a couple of years ago, great deal for a cracking box set. I’ve listened to all the CDs but never got around to watching the DVD. Do if you are making a purchase be careful though because as the discs are packed tightly into the holders in the box they were known to be scratched in some of the box sets in some cases making them unplayable but thankfully when I got mine the 1st thing I did was pull each disc out carefully and check all of them and thankfully mine was ok.

      1. The state of the discs in my box set was shocking – very badly scratched and scuffed – I’ve never seen anything like it before. The CDs in my 30+ year old edition of SOTT were in a better condition!

  11. Don’t think this was mentioned yet, apologies if it has. The Darkness’ Permission To Land….Again CD box is back to £22 on Amaxon UK, matching the lowest it’s been. Missed it last time so chuffed to get it this time.

  12. There are some very good deals on the Now Music website in the UK, especially if you like vinyl sets. The two 5LP editions of the Now Yearbook 80-84 Extra sets are just £39.99 each. The 5lp Disco set and the 5lp Eurovision set are also this price. Not bad at just £8 per record. There’s also many more vinyl and CD sets at reduced prices.

  13. Via Peter Gabriel: FLASH SALE

For 24 hours only, we are pleased to offer you the chance to pick up some great music from our online store at half price. The sale contains the Peter Gabriel Encore series, the i/o Tour programme, Rated PG vinyl and Scratch My Back CDs. It also includes all Real World Records releases, excluding 2024 releases.

Just apply the offer code “RWSTORE50” when you get to the checkout.

Please note offer only applies to titles on our sale page. Offer is valid until 5pm GMT on 27 November 2024.

    1. I see they have John Metcalfe’s Tree included in the sale – one of my favourite albums of 2023. I almost never make recommendations but this album was one I listened to over and over again.

  14. Anyone else bought the Neil Young Archives II set recently. Mine came without a slipcase so the discs can all fall out. Wondered if anyone else had this problem? I’ve returned it but not sure whether to order another in case this is why the set is currently so cheap.

    1. Mine is fine. Shrink wrapped and fully correct. It was from a 3rd party for £67. The £60 deal is direct from Amazon but not shipping till 8 Dec. What did you pay?

    2. Yes mine was the same!! Started a return with Amazon then decided to just wedge a piece of corrugated cardboard in it so CD’s dont fall out. Really annoying though!!

    3. I had a similar issue. Mine was ordered from HMV and it arrived yesterday. Was shrink wrapped, but the CD’s are all inside the outer slipcase – there is no inner box at all.

    1. If you are in the UK, it currently comes in at £73.73 including shipping and the usual exchange rate guarantee thing. It is currently £203 on Amazon UK for comparison.
It’s currently No 1 seller on Amazon.fr – so shifting in numbers. If you want it, I wouldn’t wait too long

    2. Amazon.fr has it too. I just ordered it. Insanely low price. I wasn’t gonna get this, too much live material, but for this price I pulled the trigger.

  15. If you’ve had your Synchronicity order cancelled and still don’t want to pay £60 for it you can always buy the two CD version of the set. This is currently £10.99 on Amazon UK. It comes with an Autorip copy which is the full box set not just the 2 CD set, 84 tracks. One way of saving money on the set.

  16. Flaming Lips’ Yoshimi super deluxe 6cd for £27.99 on amazon uk, which seems a great price, am i wrong?
And can anybody explain to me why the Revolver CD box doesn’t get a promotion like all the Beatles boxes have had? The cheaper I saw it was £88 which is a bit too much for me

  17. The Police 4LP Boxset is €52,99 on Amazon.com.be with the code BLACK10 where you get €10 discount on €50 spent. A crazy offer in itself. Definitely worth checking out.

      1. You can also get the Police vinyl set on Amazon France. The price is excellent too and when you buy other articles from a selction Amazon gives you, you get it also 10 euro cheaper. But you have to spend not only 50 Euro as on Amazon Belgium, but 100 Euro. (No code is needed.) It’s worth checking out if you’re not living in Belgium.

  18. The Pet Shop Boys expanded triple vinyl album Nonetheless is now down to just over £15 ( allowing for currency conversion + shipping ) through Rarewaves via Amazon Italy. As a guide the current UK price is over £60

  19. I called Amazon yesterday morning, explaining that I’d pre -ordered the Police box set way back in June, was still waiting for delivery, and that they had something similar in stock just now.

I got the reply that my pre – order was ” still out of stock”

To cut a long story short, they agreed to send me “the boxset” within 5 days.
I asked, “definitely the same one that’s been out of stock since pre order back in June?”
“Yes, same box set, different packaging” (??)

This morning, I received the cancellation email for the original pre order.
I called Amazon, to make sure that, following my Amazon conversation yesterday, I was still getting “the boxset with different
    packaging” within 5 days.

I was told that what I was told yesterday was “an error, wrong information”!
    I was offered a £10 gift card!
    Absolutely shocking service.

    1. I am in the same boat as I pre-ordered. But really, let’s be realistic. We all ordered it because we knew it was a mistake. We all chanced our arm. If it worked in our favor, we’d be over the moon, but in this case it didn’t. I hardly think this qualifies as “shocking service”. We didn’t manage to get one over on Amazon this time, so it goes.

      1. Yep I agree. We all took a punt but realistically it was always a long shot. My order was cancelled a couple of weeks back. I haven’t purchased it full price yet, which probably reflects that I didn’t actually need it that badly. In the main though I feel Amazon offers exceptional customer service. I mean where else can you order an album, take delivery of it the next day (same day often) and if you don’t want it or it’s faulty, return it for a no quibbles refund and not have to pay the postage.

      2. Being “realistic”, the “shocking service” was for the way the customer service agents dealt with me (lies, arrogance, uninterested, unhelpful, etc)
It was nothing to do with the actual item or indeed price.

    2. Most people who ordered this set knew that it was priced incorrectly & were trying in on in the hope that Amazon would actually fulfil rather than cancelling. Sometimes you get away with it & sometimes you don’t , but you just need to pull on your big-boy pants & accept it when it doesn’t work out. Customers trying to take advantage of an obvious pricing error then getting indignant when it doesn’t work out? Now that’s ‘Absolutely shocking’ ! LOL

      1. I agree, sometimes a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.
Except, this was not about “most people who ordered knew it was priced incorrectly” Did they? How do we know that? I didn’t.
I ordered it because the price suited me, there was no hidden agenda, it wasn’t exactly a devious masterplan!
Anyway…..The big boys pants can stay in the wardrobe just now as my shocking service comment was regarding the lack of customer service experienced from the customer service department, not about failing to pull off the greatest Arthur Daley type stint Amazon have ever seen LOL

        1. Your post was all too clear,SM, and requires no post-hock clarification. If you don’t know the difference between 26 and 206 or what SHMCD might mean, then there is no starting point for communication.
It’s the 21st Century, Schizoid Man, and poorly paid, under resourced, overworked and far away call centre staff ‘making things up as they go along’ in order to get through another soul destroying shift is the new normal. If you want good old fashioned service, visit a record shop and form a relationship with the proprietor.

          1. I have no personal interest in this one, since I didn’t order it, but I agree that Amazon totally screwed this up from a customer service perspective. And no, customers do not have to put up with crappy service because it’s “the new normal.”

Good service does not require honoring pricing errors. What Amazon should have done was promptly admit that it was a pricing error and cancel the order. Instead it dragged its feet for half a year on the false pretext that it was “out of stock,” then promised an accommodation, then cancelled.

          2. I do agree with the second paragraph. I have been following this saga closely but as a fellow orderer (whose order got cancelled), I can’t help but think there must be better things for people to do with their time than spend long periods on the phone/chat to Amazon trying to squeeze some cash out of them for something that basically had no financial impact on them personally, at all, in the first place.

          3. I agree Paul…. The issue here however, isn’t the box set, the issue is the very small minority always eager to, misinterpret someone’s comment, which they have no connection with whatsoever, and respond with a rather nasty, petty comment.
This is the 21st century and it still goes on!
Folks should relax, and listen to the music instead!

  20. Regarding the Police SHM Amazon deal for £29.40, didn’t some people on here manage to get something like a £75 payment from Amazon to enable them to buy it?

    1. They gave me £90 to cover the cost, I think it was a bit of potluck and depended who you got to speak to from amazon some people would offer you money to cover the balance or even more and others think they own the company treated it as there money and wouldn’t part with a penny then cancelled the orders after keeping you waiting for months

    2. I don’t think there was a consistent Amazon response.
The experience here showed no policy, just a bunch of disconnected employees making it up as they went along. I doubt they are cancelling the old orders because of the price reduction. I doubt they are that well synchronised!
I got the non-shm version for £75 and then received about £45 as a gift card. So, a win of sorts.

    1. I’d speak to them and tell them you could have ordered it elsewhere, however FIVE months later it’s nigh on impossible to purchase, and what are they going to do about it?

    2. My Amazon order was cancelled today in line with other SDE users. I contacted Customer Services and provided the order number. After outlining my complaint that the order had not been fulfilled I was firstly offered £5 and then £10. I politely declined these derisory gestures and cited the fact that Amazon had a similar (non-SHM) 6 disc set on sale for approx. £30 more. I asked that the operator refer this to a superior. After several periods of being put on hold, interspersed with me being firm, I was allowed to purchase the £59.99 set with just over £30 (the exact differential) then credited to my gift card. The operator added an extra £10 for my trouble and frustration. It took nigh on 30 minutes but a good outcome. My friend who heard everything, standing by me, has a similar cancellation pending so knows what bar to set when he calls them.
      Really pleased with this result.

      1. Hello, could you please help with the following: which is the method to contact their Customer Services? I tried through their chat but obviously it was an automatic bot so i could not make a discussion making sense. I tried to discuss the topic but finally i received a message that this is still being trained (so obviously an AI kind of customer service) and directed me to another not related topic (amazon music).

        1. Certainly! Open up a box to initiate an online chat and request a phone call. A series of options open up and just click on the phone call one. It’ll then ask you to enter your phone number and when you click to proceed the phone should ring instantly. The operator can usually find the order you want to discuss but it is good to have that open at your fingertips. Hope this helps.

    1. This may have been my fault!

I spoke to them yesterday and finally managed to get them to agree to the ‘order the UK version and we’ll refund the difference’ deal others here were able to get. This might have flagged something in the system, or reminded them they were still pending?

    1. Doing god’s work here, my friend. Amazon order cancelled! (If only they’d fulfilled the order that I’ve been waiting for for 5 months they’d have at least some of my cash now).

    2. MEH! Amazon said it’s ”too late” to cancel my order (which I made 5 hours ago, sigh) or I would have had it from Polydor instead! Nice try though…

        1. @phil tate because I’m disabled, can’t walk in weather like this at all, so if I don’t catch the driver ( which is highly unlikely) I have no method of returning it, and if it doesn’t turn up tomorrow after all ( my last 5 things from Amazon have been LATE) I might miss out elsewhere as well. I was willing to pay 60 so…

          1. One of the returns options Amazon offer is to have a return collected from your address, so you don’t have to walk anywhere…‘no method of returning’ seems a stretch when you can just book a collection & give the parcel to the driver when he arrives?

    3. Thanks Steve.

To Germany it’s 58€ plus 8€ for p&p, so a total of 66€ which is cheaper than the 75€ that amazon.de offered as a Prime Day Deal.

So i took the offer as i currently think it won’t get much cheaper than this anytime soon and don’t want to miss out if there won’t be a second run of it.

Does anyone here know if the 20-disc BBC box by Rory Gallagher which seems to be already sold out at many sellers will get another run?

  21. Been waiting for Synchronicity vinyl to come down in price & have a voucher so jumped on that. Pity I didn’t wait on the CD box but have enjoyed that already at least

  22. Couple of under the radar bits

The Doors – Morrison Hotel 2CD/LP 50th Anniversary set is £32

    Fleetwood Mac – Rumours Live 77 2CD is £8.99

Madonna – Finally Enough Love 3CD is £10

  23. The six-cd Police Synchronicity Box Set is £59.99 on Amazon UK today … not the etherial still-in-the-system-but-not-yet (never-to-be!) delivered £29.40 SHM-CD price, but a significant reduction …

    1. Yes I relented and got this bargain but haven’t deleted the SHM version from my awaited orders. You never know, it could be the Christmas miracle….

    2. A few days ago I contacted Amazon about Police £30 box set.I was told it is due 3//1/25.I don’t have a record of short chat but at end whem I could comment I said this is very bad form for a regular customer.I spent €75 recently(I know they don’t care).I also said a couple of friends received theirs and feel I should be compensated.I’ve got a couple of mails over the months saying we’ll keep you updated.Wonder are there more here in same boat?

    3. They told me today my £29 version will arrive by 28 December. Suffice to say my trust in that ever happening is sufficient enough that i’ve bought the £60 version.

I’m leaving the £29 order open simply to see what they do with an order they never plan to fulfil. I’ve had orders cancelled before so I’m just curious about where this “we’re sending it, honest guv” is going to end up. It’s really weird.

      1. Same boat.

I notice how the LP version is a Black Friday Deal but the CD version is not. I was not able to order the CD version for delivery to Ireland this morning but can now. Ordered just in case(!) the SHM never shows up.

It’s the FOMO in case the standard version goes out of print. The fantastic 20 disc Rory Gallagher box (which I got) is now as rare as anything and going for silly money in the usual places.

      2. I have had half a dozen emails from them since i ordered this back in June stating it’s currently unavailable and they will update me with a release date. I can’t bring myself to cancel it living in hope i guess but i wish they would cancel my order instead of all this fannying about.

        1. They told me on the phone that the SHMCD hadn’t been despatched as my credit card had been rejected. I asked had the same happened to my other 5 amazon pre-orders… it hasn’t. interesting that person took to complete lies to justify the non despatch. We all know why!

  24. UDiscover in the USA has a 30% off site wide sale. Discounts applied to pre orders too! The only downside is that the store is owned by Universal, so just includes artists on their roster, still a lot though.

  25. AMZ US Deals:
Faces at the BBC: Complete BBC Concert & Session Recordings (1970-1973) 8CD + Blu-Ray $84 (30% off $120 list price)
    Def Leppard – Pyromania (40th Anniversary) Deluxe 4CD + Blu-ray $70 (30% off $100 list price)
    David Bowie – Rock ‘n’ Roll Star! 5CD + Blu-Ray box set $90 (15% off $105 list price)

    1. More Amazon US deals: Tears for Fears Big Chair Super Deluxe $67 (33% savings), Kraftwerk Remixes 2 CD $20 (34% savings), Ultravox CD Boxes of Quartet $60 Rage $45, Ace of Base Beautiful Life 25 CD single box for $65, PWL Extended 3 CD $13.

    1. That’s a crazy good price for one of my favourite surround discs of the year. If anyone’s on the fence I would highly recommend taking a punt for a tenner!

  26. The Bowie set has finally come down to the price it should have originally been. Now, if only Rock ‘n’ Roll Star would do the same, I might actually consider buying it.

  27. The 16LP colour vinyl Rolling Stones in Mono box set from fnac is back on special offer again, even cheaper! Only 156 Euros at the time of writing, rather than the previous excellent 169 Euros price originally listed on this ‘Deals’ page! That might even take the total with shipping to the UK below the import tax threshold of £135!
    Cheers, Guy

      1. Same here. I too bought at last week’s price but today’s invoice has charged me the 156€ price plus a very generous 4€ postage, bringing it in at £133. As you say, under the £135 threshold. Nicely done FNAC! Merci (my total French capability there – sadly).

    1. It would seem to be only available at this price in their shops, not online. I backed off before due to the worry of tax etc. but was going to go for it now.

    2. The strange thing is that that price is the only one I’ve seen when I clicked the link. Even on the first day it was listed here it still had the price just a few cents under €156. I clicked the link a fair few times and it always showed the same rather than the €169

    1. I recommend this to anyone who is at all interested in or curious about the Dead. This was a band that was at its best in a live setting, and of the thousands of concerts played by the group, the Cornell show is widely viewed as its finest performance.

      1. I can only agree, fantastic live band. I can’t wait till my GRATEFUL DEAD: Dick’s Picks Vol. 3—Pembroke Pines, Florida 5/22/77 (Limited, Hand-Numbered, 180-Gram 4-LP Set) arrives on Tuesday.

        1. It can be a nightmare, I tried to send back a faulty LP back to Amazon France and was given an address for the Czech Republic so I paid a fortune in postage only for it to be returned to me and then had to battle with Amazon to get my money back and the postage I was out which I got eventually. Bottom line I’ve stopped buying anything from the non UK Amazon sites as a result. The fact that cd 3 is missing means there’s a reason why they’re selling them off cheap it’s because if their being a disc missing meaning they can’t charge full price for it.

          1. Just arrived tonight. All 6 discs present and correct. Not sure if I was lucky or others unlucky. Very pleased though

          2. Got mine this morning and all discs were correct.

While I agree that the packaging is a little flimsy, it is a very nice set – just that it should be in the £40-50 price bracket maximum.

Thanks again to whoever spotted that Amazon bargain.

    1. Thanks for mentioning there was more stock at the low price and also thanks to Mark P for finding the original deal.

I was a bit anxious because of those commenters who received one of the six discs in the set twice (and therefore obviously one other not at all) but my copy turned up including six different discs making this one of the best deals of the year imho.

  28. The Sound Of Philadelphia Volume 3 box set – Love Is The Answer is £49.99 on amazon UK https://amzn.to/3YVkTjt

I was lucky enough to get the Miles Davis box set deal, and the cds are as they should be. Looking at the packaging / presentation, it is worth the €23 I paid. I’m not enough of a Miles Davis fan to know how highly valued the music is and whether it is worth the £80 regular price? I would have been underwhelmed to have paid £80 and this small nearly budget level package arrived.

    1. I am a Miles Davis fan and would say £80 is pushing it. It’s one for the more involved fan showcasing the transition between classic quartets. Nice! Really nice.
Not too dissimilar to the Dylan bootleg series – People will have preferred eras but if you’re a fan it’s all wonderful to have.

      1. This is a really interesting release, marking the important transition between bands, and importantly the shift from George Coleman to Wayne Shorter. So, top marks for the music and juxtaposition of the two bands. However, the packaging and booklet is really disappointing, both in terms of justifying the cost of the six-disc set and aesthetically/quality-wise. The earliest sets in this series of ‘bootleg’ releases were exemplary and truly innovative – high quality paper and printing, lots of information in the significant booklets/bound-in texts, metal spines, beautifully and imaginative hard slipcases (some printed on material [Bitches Brew]). Things of real beauty and truly informative historical documents. The latest ‘Miles in France’ set has absolutely none of this, which is a great shame. I know the music is the essence, but as SDEs the earlier sets were really something – unique in terms of design/layout, beautiful, informative and no-expense-spared (even though the cost was much much less than 2024’s Vol. 8) – which I think rewarded fans of Miles’ music and musical legacy. Ho hum …

    2. I just ordered a copy of the new Miles Davis box too from Italy to Germany and hope that i’ll also be lucky enough to receive six different cds.

I’ve paid a bit more than 26€ including p&p which is about the same price that Amazon Germany currently asks for the previous installment of the Bootleg Series “That’s What Happened” that only holds three cds and has similar cd-sized packaging as the new release.

Regarding that i think that the regular asking price for the current set should be somewhere in between 40€ and 50€.

The asking price of 90€ to 100€ that currently seems to be normal at German shops is certainly pulling the mickey and i wouldn’t have bought the box at that price.

  29. For surround sound enthusiasts, All Your Music on eBay are selling the recent Rhino BluRay Atmos reissue of the first Seal album for £22. Combine this with another item and get a further 20% off.
I’ve just ordered it with Chicago IX in the same reissue series for £33, postage included to UK.
I’ve used this seller before and they were great.

  30. Lots of reductions in the rarewaves uk sale. Just a couple, prince diamonds and pearls Atmos Blu-ray £10 + the darkness permission to land again 4cd + 1 dvd box set £24 also 10% off over £20 (takes the darkness down to £21.60) ends Monday.

  31. Rarewaves.uk has a Warners flash sale now on. Various Neil Young vinyl included ie Zuma at £15. Gerry Rafferty vinyl – Night Owl at £13 and City to City at £16. Pretenders 2 vinyl at £10!

  32. As usual with these current Amazon U.K. reductions, the majority are in response to HMV cutting their prices. So if Amazon are out of stock you might be lucky at HMV online or even in store

    1. Was in a HMV store today for the first time in years. Absolutely nothing in there in the line of CD sales. Just 3 for £66 vinyl. A very dismal experience, and I won’t be going back. A lot of the online stuff is listed as ‘back in stock soon’ as well.

  33. Dream Theater

  34. It seems my first post didn’t clear the moderation. So here it is again: you may want to check current promotions at https://vinylcollector.store/collections/promos. For example: Def Leppard’s 9-LP boxset volume 3 is at 60€, Norah Jones’ double LP live (“…til we meet again”) is at 9€, Stones in Mono LP box is at 156€, Stones’ “Let it Bleed” super deluxe is at 78€, etc. Shipping fees for France are OK (less than 10€ on average), but don’t know about UK and the ROW. Enjoy!

  35. The Darkness – Permission To Land… Again 20th anniversary edition (4 CD / 1 DVD) is currently down to £38.89 on Amazon uk – it tends to yoyo up and down but this is the lowest I’ve seen it so far

    1. You can order it from the Rhino website. Delivery cost is $16 whether you order one item or a few.
I got it with a couple of other items and with the exchange rate, it was a reasonable price to the UK

  36. Some significant reductions on Amazon UK at 10AM Friday. Joni Mitchell Asylum Albums box set is £22. Marillion Season’s End box set is £23.

    1. Thanks ordered! As of Saturday, the Blues set is also 10.99. Ok, so you don’t get the deluxe packaging of the big box (and it’s DVD not Blu-ray ), but if it’s just standard audio you want these are bargains.

  37. Stevie Nicks ‘Complete Studio Albums & Rarities’ 10CD box set is down to £49.99 on Amazon UK – not the cheapest is has ever been, but certainly the best price is has been for a good while I think …

  38. The Yes Album Super Deluxe set is down to £44.99 and Prince’s Diamonds & Pearls Super Deluxe is down to £69.99. Both on Amazon UK. I think that’s the cheapest the Yes set has been.

  39. On Amazon UK the Super Deluxe Edition of Prince’s Diamonds & Pearls album is down to £69 (i.e. half of the RRP); this is of course the 7CD + Blu-ray version.

    1. I got it a wee while ago for that price and I highly recommend it. The good thing also is the CDs/Blu ray are in individual wallets which means you don’t have any issues removing them from the box when playing them as that was an issue with the Sign Of The Times box set for though I managed to get them out without scratching the disc it was an issue for some.

    1. just remembered the bbc dvd had faulty sound and needed to be replaced. I bought the box on original release i had to do this. I wonder if these include said faulty disc.

        1. I just bought that box set but didn’t know about that issue but I do have the disc you’re talking about as I remember buying it for 99p so it replaces one if the discs then,? It’s unusual that you had to buy the replacement disc as they’re usually free from the record company.

          1. Thanks for the comment about the replacement disc – I wasn’t aware and I haven’t played the original yet even though I bought this when it first came out. In all honestly, I think £25 is about right as you only really get 85 minutes of music and a couple of quite limited DVDs. It is not the worst offender in terms of being over-priced, but for such an iconic album it is a very disappointing release, particularly given the amount of archive material available which might fit better into a release like this rather than a monster-sized box set which might have less broad appeal.

  40. Amazon UK has the Neil Young Archives Vol 1 for £99.99 – still price imo but cheaper than the £170 it started at when it was rereleased.

And Green Day’s 3CD version of Nimrod has finally dropped to a sensible price (£18).

  41. For the American readers who know who Robbie Williams is, multiple third-party sellers on Amazon US are offering the Life Thru A Lens SDE for $32-$33 shipped.

  42. Heavenly Cream – An Acoustic Tribute to Cream CD In Amazon Spain at 5 €
“Heavenly Cream ‘An Acoustic Tribute To Cream’ features Ginger Baker, Cream lyricist the late Pete Brown, Free front man Paul Rodgers, Bernie Marsden, Joe Bonamassa, Bobby Rush, Malcolm Bruce (son of Jack Bruce), Debra Bonham, Maggie Bell and others. For a band that only existed for two and a half years, the influence and fame of Cream seems to have only grown and grown over the decades.”

    1. Paul Rodgers seems to be desperate singing on all kind of those (unnecessary) tribute thingies for the past 30 years including a tour and live album with Brian May and Roger Taylor.

        1. Very true, everybody wants to collaborate with “The Voice” (and one of the very few aging rock stars whose voice has not deteriorated over time). He’s had a few health issues over the past 4 odd years hence no touring but last years album, Midnight Rose shows that he’s still got it.

          1. In my humble opinion, it’s a pretty decent album. The string arrangements give it another point of listening. Happy with the purchase and the bargain. :)

  43. Import CDs have a 10% off promotion for in-stock items. Deep Discount have 15% off all in-stock items when you buy 2 or more
….and for those in Australia, Warner Music’s online store have started there Black Friday sale early with lots of stuff half price. I managed to get the Eagles Legacy 16LP box set for $225 (about GBP 110) but this is sadly now sold out.
Bowie’s Divine Symmetry is $122 (about GBP 60) and a decent reduction on Rock ‘n’ Roll Star. Plenty of other stuff as well.

  44. Udiscover.com and Sound of vinyl just started their 30% off sale in the US. 6LP black vinyl box from Bob Marley Time will tell comes to roughly 60.00 USD on the sound of vinyl website. Also, Rush’s Permanent Waves SDE is dirt cheap minus 30%. Worth checking out.

        1. To secure the deal , I chose the express shipping option , i.e. € 28 including shipping . I just received a shipping confirmation email , I should receive it tomorrow . Thanks a lot to Mark and Paul

  45. For those who like the German “At Rockpalast” series, JPC have a lot of them at half price. eg. Paul Young, Jack Bruce, Paul Butterfield, John Cale, Miller Anderson, Aswad, UFO, Dave Stewart etc (all CD/DVD sets) all down from euro 19.99 to 9.99

  46. Green Day – American Idiot (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) [4 CD + 2 Blu-ray] $50 on AMZ US (28% off $70 list price)
Talking Heads 77 Super Deluxe Edition 3CD + Blu-Ray $71 on AMZ US (29% off $100 list price)

  47. WOW! Insanely good price – had to get involved as it had dropped to 155 Euro plus 4 euro post to UK – £!40 for this box is unreal. Thanks Paul!

      1. In theory, yes – but I didn’t get a charge for my American Idiot box set from Fnac. I know a lot of shippers now pay the import duties in advance, so it’s often rolled into the price, especially from Europe, as it was reducing sales to the UK. Still, a fantastic deal nonetheless. Just snapped it up to put on the shelf next to my Sticky Fimgers – Blue & Lonesome box set. So much Stones to enjoy!

        1. VAT is very hit and miss on imports. It depends to an extent on what the sender declares on the values, but even then I’ve had stuff come in that wasn’t taxed when I expected it to be and other items that were held up unexpectedly.
The most annoying thing is the added fee of £12. I have been charged VAT of £4 and had a £12 handling fee on that, which is infuriating. There are no options to pay the VAT ahead either so you can’t avoid the handling fee.
