Ridiculously good deal on Amazon Italy this morning for the recently released Aretha Franklin Atlantic Albums Collection box set.

This 19CD box is only €35 or around £25 which is an incredible £30 saving over the current UK price of £55. Also consider that this set is $90 in the USA but with tax deducted this Italian price equates to $32 plus shipping.

  9. I might be interested in this, but I worry about the packaging of the discs. Are they just cardboard slipcases for the discs ? The ZZ Top set released by Rhino was like this, music wonderful but the slipcases were rubbish…

    1. Yes, standard card ‘wallets’ – Even at full price this decent value, but at £1.30 per CD I don’t see too much to complain about! :)

  10. I just checked on that and it appears it is true. The Bowie Five Years vinyl box set was EU22.86 for about 6 hours on the 7th/8th November on Amazon Italy. I have an alert set to let me know but I reckon it failed, as I definitely would have bought it. Anyone managed to get one at that ridiculously low price?

  11. Still not as cheap as the Bowie Five Years vinyl set for 18.74 Euro available on Saturday.

  13. Thnx Paul! Although some people expressed their dissappointment about not including AF’s last 5 albums (70s ouput) I found this a deal too good to miss out on (only EUR 38 including shipping!).
