  1. Thanks for the Motown Box alert Paul. My first euro Amazon purchase this year for shipping to the UK. Being a rookie in the new regulations world, I’m presuming the price I pay will be the price at checkout as amazon.de have to charge the UK VAT a the point of sale (as under £135)? Thanks again!

  2. Thanks Paul – missed previous Motown deals so this one is much appreciated.

Whilst on Amazon.de, I noticed there are some quite good deals on Stones From The Archive series. For instance, I got the LA Forum 1975 package (DVD & 2CD) for just under £15 (currently £36 on Amazon UK). I also got Hampton 1981 (DVD & 2CD) for similar price. And of course, if ordered with the Motown box, there’s practically no extra shipping

  3. Hi
Just a quick shout out as to what differences if any there are between the Rhino and Sanctuary CD box sets of Black Sabbath Volume 4 super deluxe box sets? Big price difference on Amazon!

  4. For those who missed Prince 1999 Superdeluxe 5CD+DVD : there are a few copies at 78.– GBP available on amazon.co.uk from a third party seller. Not a super bargain but cheaper than most of the other offers.
And I have just received the shipping notification of my order of this set from amazon.co.uk when they had offered the box for 64.– GBP back in January. Happy to finally receive this box set as well and thank you to superdeluxeedition.com to have advertised this offer back in January :-)

  5. Mark Knopfler Deluxe Box of 2018s Down the Road Wherever is down to £34.91 on Amazon UK and is cheapest it’s ever been. You get 2LP gatefold plus bonus 4 track 12″ incl 3 exclusive tracks and also the Deluxe CD featuring 2 further tracks not on either vinyl…..go figure….plus some guitar tab and a numberrd print….not bad at this price.

  6. Slightly off topic here, but since U2 Pop anniversary/remastered deluxe/reissue has been mentioned again, I know from a lot of close friends and fans, this is high up the ‘wanted’ list. Sadly, I can’t see it happening, even if commercially viable. There’s the irony, in that the artists (rightfully) still have the last say, they just don’t want it out there again (even with all the gimmicks you can think of; I’d love an Adam Clayton PopTart face mask right now).

    1. I heard the opposite; certainly Edge and Bono are quite fond of some of the songs – I think a remix may happen, if not next year, then in 2027 for it’s 30th.

  7. You’re all going to be waiting a while as Paramount owns the rights to Rattle n Hum so why it hasn’t had a box set done. As for Pop next year marks the 25th anniversary so I’d say that’s a possibility…

  8. Yes – unable to purchase in Northern Ireland from Amazon.de or Amazon.Fr – despite the fact we are apparently still in the Customs market for goods! Bit frustrating – maybe they will address this in due course (hopefully)

          1. When I looked Music magpie had the Bowie listed on Amazon at just under £71 plus postage so it came up first on the amazon listing, with amazons at £73 . As soon as their last one sold the Amazon price immediately went back up to £88.50 so I guess they were tracking the price.

  9. Is there any further info on a reissue of the Richard & Linda Thompson box? I can find nothing about it on line. Very keen to get a copy which was impossible first time around in NZ – although that may have saved me a hassle with bad discs!

  10. Very good deal for UK residents or people ordering from Germany, Austria, Netherlands.

It was already €67 this week-end so I guess it’s £49 for UK residents only (meaning without VAT).

Even at €67, it’s still a good price if you’re a prime member and don’t pay shipping. With VAT and shipping costs, the deal is less interesting.

  11. That’s a great deal even factoring in the postage though I bought it at the time and especially now with Brexit and the fact that I live in Northern Ireland means I wouldn’t be able to avail of the offer if I didn’t have it by now.
