At the Dutch bol.com is Queen’s The Miracle limited deluxe edition now €99.90.
In the US, Barnes and Noble is running its 50% off Criterion sale now through July 28. Several music-related releases including Beatles, Dylan, The Band, Monterey Pop, etc. ‘A Hard Days Night’ and ‘The Last Waltz’ are available on 4k.
I see Amazon is matching the deal for several items as well.
Beggars don’t ship to the UK any longer – B and N haven’t/registered for the pre-collection VAT regime.
Two recordstores in the Netherlands have a boxset sale (see also their website https://www.platomania.nl/boxsets-sale). This includes:
Elton John – Madman across the water (3CD+1Blu-ray): € 24,99 (not sure if the blu-ray has been corrected)
George Harrison – All things must pass (5CD+1Blu-ray): € 49,99
Does anyone have any experience with this seller? I placed an order a couple of hours ago but didn’t receive a confirmation mail, which is normally an automatic response…
I mostly visit store physical stores, but I have also ordered online. However, when I order, I choose the option to pick-up in a physical store. I have always received an e-mail from [email protected] confirming the order (subject: [PLATOMANIA] BESTELLING #) and I an e-mail when the item is available to be picked up.
Thanks for your reply. I still haven’t gotten a confirmation mail, also not in my spam folder. Even if I login to my account on the seller’s homepage the order I placed is not visible.
I will wait until tuesday and see whether something comes later. The stupid thing is that I paid via bank transfer, so I can’t demand my money back actively. I just hope that someone will react to my order sooner or later…
Most sellers don’t accept bank transfer payments as they are a hassle. You probably can’t see your order as it is is probably sitting as not completed. There will be no automatic reconciliation process for direct bank payments against orders. Somebody probably has to review bank statements and manually mark payment as received against your order
The Seal SDE is currently $53.66 on Amazon US, but if you have Amazon Prime, then today it’s $43.01.
Thanks for the heads up – that was the reasonable price for that Seal SDE. I also noticed that the Blondie “Against The Odds” CD box set was also down in price via Prime to $77.86 – lowest I’ve seen it – so I nabbbed that one too finally!
There seems to be a few Prime deals, but they don’t all appear on the Limited Time deal banner / selection filter. You have to keep clicking around and it appears eventually. I checked Blondie as a curiosity, and that’s how I found it. Shrug.
Thank you both for the Seal and Blondie tips. Have been holding out on those two for a while.
Porcupine Tree – Closure/Continuation Deluxe Edition 2CD + Blu-ray $45 on AMZ US (41% off $76 list price)
Paul – love the website, but I reckon 1 in every 2 of my totally non controversial comments don’t get approved. Is there a better system? I don’t know how the system allows you to miss comments. Mine are often about deals and are time sensitive. I know others experience the same thing. How many really offensive comments do you manage to sift out versus the ones you miss when you have to personally check each one? Makes me not interested in contributing. Sorry to have to say this.
I understand how you feel. I’ve had a few comments lost over the years as well.
I’m sure that Paul’s Content Management System probably does have the ability to publish without approval.
However, it only takes one really bad post to get published and there could be extensive reputational damage to the SDE brand and even potential litigation against the website.
It’s a risk decision. Risk of an offensive post is probably very low, but consequence could be severe.
If I was Paul, I would leave the system as is.
Exatly the same for me. Makes me not interested in contributing when the energy I invest for posting and inform other music in your hands fans is lost. I now prefer contributing regularly to The Stevehoffmanforum. This one is going very well with another system (self-regulatory reporting system from members and moderator intervention when necessary).
Really? You do have over 100 comments published and I’m always seeing you on here. Not sure what exactly is being missed..?
Some of us appear to be quite needy.
Paul – you do a fantastic job with this site. Deals will always get missed, but pretty much everyone on here has benefitted from published deals that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise, plus huge heads up on rare editions and a real desire to serve our community well. You can’t please everyone, but I reckon 99% of people on here have nothing but gratitude for what you do – more of the same!!
Hi Rich,
You’re frustration is understandable and your points are fair and valid. However, it is still worth considering contributing, even if some of your comments are missed. Paul is running a one man band / blog / commercial business, with many thousands of readers like ourselves, and it is understandable that comments fail to get published with the work load that this entails.
Paul has often acknowledged that some comments get missed, but this isn’t malicious, and overall everyone’s contributions are what makes SDE a special place.
Regards,
I get the odd post now and again that doesn’t appear but hey it’s really not a big deal and if Paul is moderating everything on his own then the odd one disappearing isn’t the end of the world. I still find this site great for news and deals. So I’ll live with the odd post going awol.
I totally agree Davey. I too have the odd post disappear, which is frustrating if you have spotted a good deal that you would like to share, but it really doesn’t matter. This is my favourite site by far and I am amazed how Paul does it all.
It does seem to be a bit of a lottery, but then so is life.
Beatles Revolver 5 cd box now £77.34 on Amazon UK
REM – New Adventures In Hi-Fi 25th Anniversary (Deluxe 2CD+Blu-Ray) is £14.88 on Amazon DE.
Just picked up Beatles Revolver box set from Amazon uk for fraction over £77. Cheapest I’ve seen it.
Beatles Revolver 5CD box has dropped to £77 on Amazon UK. Presume this one has a bit more to drop (the Let It Be set is down below £50 so I assume this will follow suit) but at least the price is finally moving towards “sensible”.
If anyone is interested beyond vinyl have the Elton John deep cuts vinyl box sets 3 in total – Jewelbox and this is me & B-sides & rarities for only £12.99 each and the 4 vinyl box set Deep Cuts for only £29.99. Not a huge fan of his later work but some good classics in here from his earlier work – here’s the link to one of the Jewelbox sets: –
https://beyondvinyl.co.uk/product/elton-john-jewel-box-this-is-me-2lp/
I’ve been a fan since I first heard Radio Free Europe in ‘81.
I have enjoyed every album the band released and I believe they were at one of several career peaks when they called it a day. OOAA but are obviously wrong and voiced by people who don’t know what they’re talking about ;-))
A couple of years ago I’d have been in for these LP reissues but not now. I’ve no room to be doubling up on the same album any more. Err I’ll not be getting rid of any of my 14 copies of Forever Changes.
Finally managed to bag one of these deals! Picked up the Blow Monkeys set. And also noticed that the Seal box is now £64 so picked that up too!
Can anyone advise me regarding Universal German shop site when buying CDs etc
When you pick a item to buy it indicates taxes are included in cost so does that mean that no additional cost are occurred when the courier delivers the item to your house if it has a value under £135
I’ve never payed any extra for orders from overseas under £135.
I never paid any extra when ordering the Revolver 4LP/7” set from Amazon Germany which was over £135*
*It ended up costing me zilch, but it’s too long a story to be told.
Why don’t you email them?
In principle – yes. No additional costs. However, I found out recently that the £135 limit does include postage costs in the calculation. So, you may buy something for £120 thinking you are under the limit – but if postage charge is £20 – then total costs is £140 and there is then an additional cost.
Really nice price on the Blow Monkeys Animal Magic 4CD set, down to £11.99 on Amazon UK
Flash sale at LiveHereNow 20% off few bargains got the 2 Richard Hawley Devils Arse cds for just under £20 plus post
If someone is interested in the KISS Destroyer Box… the udiscover store of Germany has it now for 99€…
https://store.udiscover-music.de/p51-i0602438184088/kiss/destroyer-45/index.html
Thanks, I finally ordered it
Thanks JueRie! Also bagged the Rory Gallagher – Deuce (50th Anniversary Edition) for 39,99€
Kiss? My arse! ;-))
thanks, ordered
The boxset Still In A Dream : A Story of Shoegaze 1988-1995 is 30 £ on Amazon UK
Any SDE SFA fans out there! I picked up the deluxe 20th anniversary editions of Guerrilla and Rings Around the World for £4 ea shipped on Amazon.
Good spot, thanks – picked up Guerilla
Beatles Let It Be Super Deluxe currently less than £48.00 https://amzn.to/3pdgeLN
Rough Trade UK have George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass (50th Anniversary) reduced across all formats:
LP+x3 on green splatter vinyl now £44.99
LPx5 now £54.99
CDx6 now £44.99
Hopefully of help if you’ve held out so far.
Email received from Rough Trade stating unable to supply All Things Must Pass due to “unexpected stock shortage”. They also cancelled an order for a Laura Marling box several months ago (which admittedly did look too good to be true). A few weeks back, I ordered the Duran Duran Blue vinyl exclusive 12″. I received an email on that one saying difficulty in sourcing stock. My order hasn’t been cancelled yet, but I’m not optimistic.
Rough Trade used to be so good. Now they are a mess.
Update – further email received from Rough Trade to advise me that “the release date for George Harrison All Things Must Pass 6CD has now changed from June 24 2023 to July 7 2023”.
Bizarre considering it’s been out for a couple of years already, and considering they told me my order was cancelled yesterday….
Was it not the Laura Nyro box set, American Dreamer, that Rough Trade cancelled on? I had ordered one myself.
Yes – Laura Nyro. My bad. No idea why I typed Laura Marling – I don’t even own any of her stuff.
They cancelled my order for the green splatter the day I ordered it (19/06) due to supply issues.
Not the cheapest I’ve ever seen it but a decent price (£55) on the Bob Dylan Mono Recordings 9CD box on Amazon UK
https://amzn.to/3qSDrU7
Why’s “Blonde On Blonde” a two cd set in this collection?
The SACD version is a 2CD set as well. Preserve the ‘feeling’ of a double album.
Sound of Vinyl in the US has a few titles “free” but S&H charges do apply and one can only buy one at a time. Still, fantastic deals are to be found there if you live in the US. Examples are Mccartney, EJ, and The Who.
The Sound Of Vinyl’s US store currently have a selection of vinyl (incl. Paul McCartney, Elton John, Rolling Stones) that are ‘pay tax and shipping only’ i.e. listed at $0.00 !! (Apparently this is not an error – some customers received an email announcing it). I don’t believe SoV ship overseas (certainly not to the UK when I tried) so likely only useful to any US/NA readers.
Hopefully this link works – if not, just sort by Price: Low – High:
https://thesoundofvinyl.us/search?q=%2A%2A&hPP=30&idx=official_products_price_asc&p=0&type=product&is_v=1
SOV US Store do ship to the UK. I’ve bought quite a bit from them in the past.
Unfortunately, this specific offer is excluded from international orders. Fantastic for US readers though…
Thank you very much. Great deal!
It works! Thank You!
shame we dont get offers like this on the uk site
Thanks for the heads up on this! The weird thing was I could only buy one disc at a time, not sure why. Even so, great deal.
I noticed that several of the titles that went out of stock came back in stock.
Back in stock as of now:
Nirvana Unplugged 2LP
Bob Marley Natty Dread LP
Rolling Stones Goat’s Head Soup 2LP (silver vinyl)
Yesterday McCartney’s Paul is Live 2LP (colored vinyl) was back in stock but out of stock again today. Same for the Flaming Pie 3LP (was out of stock, then back, now out again).
Worth watching the sale if interested
Just checked again and it appears the ‘free’ vinyl sale is now over. :(
Bit of a deal on Be Bop Deluxe Live! In the air age box set on Amazon UK at £75.21
Rarewaves have a 10% discount until 19th. Good pre order price for next Neil Young Official Release box as well.
Not a deal as such, but if, like me you were gutted at missing out on Mr Benn – The Music on RSD recently, it’s available as a re-press at Rough Trade for £27.99 whereas the original has been seen changing hands at £100+. https://bit.ly/3JicyiG
The monthly Cherry Red offer is 20% off the label’s 60s pop and 70s glam and disco, via code 60sPOP70sGLAM22 .
You’d think it would be 60sPOP70sGLAM23, or are they just re-using one from last year :)
Thanks for posting this as there are numerous Cherry Red/ Grapefruit etc releases that are in this category and that I would like. Sadly, most are not included, but I have picked up a couple of compilations.
George Harrison – All Things Must Pass cd box set is 46 euro on Amazon.nl
I ordered this yesterday and afterwards I submitted the deal here, but like most of the deals I post it apparently wasn’t approved. Now I see this post of the same deal, which is great but I wonder what’s the difference. Does anyone else have problems getting deals submitted?
Sorry… Accidentally missed it!
Thanks! Immediately ordered.
20% off Summer Sale at Sound of Vinyl and it’s sister site Recordstore – not sure if some of the prices have been inflated first.
Beatles Let It Be Deluxe CD and Blu-ray a smidgeon over £50 on
Amazon UK.
Lots of super deluxe titles on sale now on Amazon US: Depeche Mode 101 is $68.
The Depeche Mode 101 box set is back down to £77.77 on Amazon UK
New Order Low-Life Definitive Edition box set is down to £105 on Amazon UK today. This is the lowest price I’ve seen it.
Back to £114 now, darn it!
And indeed now further up to £132.
Gah!!
Slim pickings out there recently but Chalkys have the Let It Be 5CD/BR box for £50, which is decent.
On a related note, McCartney just announced a new Beatles song for later this year. I do wonder if it could signal some sort of movement around Anthology reissues.
There is definitely an Anthology project being talked about for later in the year.
The Beatles Revolver SDE 4LP+7” is 106 Euro on Amazon Germany – cheapest to date!
where do you see this?
Go to the bestsellers lists and you’ll find it in the Box sets section. Sorry, can’t get a link on my mobile.
Thanks very much, found it.
I searched on SDE for “Revolver”, found the bit with the prices, clicked on Amazon de
And there, I found €97
Try that!
Great suggestion!
That’s the cd version
It wasn’t… It was definitely the LP version when I posted.
But, the versions have both increased in price, although not by much.
Noel gallagher store taking the piss, the black vinyl version with 7″ single was £30 last week when released and have just reduced it to half price less than a week after release.
Yeah, not overly enthused by this one. I know him and the Foo Fighters are tussling for the number 1 spot but this one felt like a proper slap it the face. The deluxe 2CD version is down to £9 too, having been £15 yesterday.
Must be close to the race for number 1 against the Foo fighters – they also pushed out a 1000 signed copies last week – so that’s two kicks in the balls for us instant preorder people – great album though
Sparks fans were complaining as well when signed photos suddenly became available for 30 hours Wednesday to Thursday last week.
My question is WHY do people pre order? This Chart battle happens with pretty much every major artist new release…prices reduced to get extra sales, along with personalised signed copies, photos, live gigs (Banquet in Kingston).
Its understandable the artists and promoters/labels will do anything to hype the record higher in charts….and this always happens in the week leading up to release or just after and has always been thus…so why do people order weeks in advance knowing the likelihood is that this will happen?
People pre-order so they don’t miss out on limited editions, signatures, prints etc. Yes it would be a bummer if a better offer arrived after the initial offers – unless you hadn’t already purchased!
Even if the artist and industry is interested, I doubt many fans care about an artist going to number one anymore. The only time the charts has come into my focus in the last decade was the story of Kate Bush’s RUTH song.
Noel Gallagher has never pulled this stunt, either solo or with Oasis, so it’s fair for fans that want the limited stuff or want to get his stuff on day one (ie his most loyal fans) to be a little peeved. Obviously it’s now a “once-bitten” situation with him as these strategies always backfire and most of us simply won’t bother pre-ordering again.
On the subject of stunts, have any of you noticed the bizarre stuff going on with Taylor Swift. Taylor’s next reissue will be available soon. Originally announced with a Purpleish vinyl. A week later, it’s also announced as Violet vinyl (only slightly different to previous). Now – lilac vinyl is available to pre-order (again only slightly different in colour again). She’s clearly working her way through a Dulux colour chart.
The UK Website says they are UK exclusives. The US Website also has them and says they are US store exclusives. They are all available to pre-order from Rough Trade etc.
The last set of coloured vinyls (for Moonlight) were also advertised as store exclusives. Initially on one of these “only available for preorder for 48 hours” type things, then a few weeks later on general order, then eventually available in HMV and even on Amazon.
There’s a distinct lack of integrity in some of these marketing campaigns.
Unfortunately it’s a bit of a gamble. I usually pre order on albums I ‘have to have’, and usually I save a few quid. I would cite the latest Bob Dylan album as an example, I pre ordered the vinyl edition on Amazon at £21.99. By the time of release it was up to £31.99 on Amazon and even higher on some other sites. However, like yourself, I have been frustrated many times in the past when pre ordering, a recent example was the CD version of Van Morrison’s skiffle album which dropped from £11.99 to £8.99 almost immediately after release and which is still on offer at the lower price, annoying, but you pays your money and takes your chance I’m afraid.
I noticed that both Noel Gallagher and Foo Fighters store (and many others nowadays) are using the “Print of a hand written lyric sheet” as an added free bonus to attract buyers. Does anybody really want these things? I feel no attraction to them at all.
I suppose it just makes the item complete, the original white album photos came with think white paper to keep them separate and a white paper bag to keep them in, those throw away items now can increase the value of an item by hundreds of pounds. yes I agree they are nothing more than a gimmick but then again so it coloured vinyl, posters etc etc.
‘think white paper’ hmm, album extras with E.S.P.
very funny :-)
Just noticed this on Amazon UK – Supertramp – Crime of the Century BLU-RAY AUDIO DISC – now reduced to £17
I was completely unaware that this existed. Anybody heard it?
And of course, as it’s Amazon, you also get the MP3 Autorip :)
It’s stereo only, but not a bad price…
@paulsinclair This and Breakfast In America would be great candidates for an SDE surround series release Paul (nudge nudge, wink wink )
Crime of the Century, with its beautiful, spacious sound, was one of the most popular of the Mobile Fidelity premium audiophile LPs. It seems like a natural for surround treatment.
The album’s original engineer, Ken Scott, has some experience with multichannel, having done the 2016 surround mix for Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust.
They all hate each other so extremely unlikely…
Wait a minute, I said to myself, I thought it was just Roger Hodgson who didn’t get along with the rest of the band, and he’s dead. But I looked it up and he’s still alive, so the grudge can live on.
His management gave me a YouTube strike once (not a ‘please take down’) for posting his live performance of a song at the Royal Albert Hall. They are notoriously aggressive.
Wow, no takedown request first? That’s impressively awful. And it would certainly discourage anyone from working with him!
Exactly! Straight to ‘strike’. Totally ridiculous.
As well as Old new Borrowed and Blue, Slayed? is also a nice price – https://www.amazon.co.uk/Slayed-VINYL-Slade/dp/B096ZRL7ZL
Not a deal but possibly useful info for those in the UK that use Sound of Vinyl, Recordstore etc associated sites. I’ve noticed that for pre-orders – credit card payments are now being taken by these sites on the actual day you order. It used to be that cards weren’t charged until day of release when the items were despatched but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
never been the case for me, the only company that I used that did not charge until dispatch was amazon.
Most places take the money upfront. Only two I use that don’t are Amazon and Juno
Rough Trade also only charge on dispatch. However, I don’t mind the small indie shops taking their money immediately for pre-orders.
I double checked this in case my ageing memory was fading, but they have definitely only ever charged me on despatch before. I was curious so I decided to look at their T&Cs. For Digital product, they charge immediately. For physical product, they state that cards will be charged on despatch – or any day prior. So that’s clear – they could charge you immediately or many months later when title is released. I wonder how they differentiate..
i think i read somewhere that credit card pre authorisation is only a few months ,but now some of the preorders are 12 months away and the authorisation of the funds on card cant be kept open so charging at time of order and paying now

Good deal. Don’t think vol. 1 has ever been discounted?
Vol. 1 has been in my Amazon basket for what seems like an eternity. Yep, never been discounted on Amazon I don’t think. I’m sure someone mentioned earlier this year that it was on offer on another independent site, but of course, it sold out? Currently just under £50 on Amazon UK.
Not just me then! :-(
This is a Public Service Announcement because I’m not a fan.
Vol 1 is £44+ pennies at Rarewaves, free shipping.
Sorry can’t provide a link on this machine but it is easy to locate.

Pink Floyd – Dark Side of The Moon Book now down to £20.99 at Amazon https://amzn.to/3WoUf0A
A friend has this book and having had a look I’m of the opinion that it’s a glorified Tour brochure. Nothing on the making of the album, the inspiration behind the songs…
Plenty of high quality pics to look at once then leave on the shelf for eternity.
Tend to agree. I found it quite boring. Lots of same-y looking pics. Some nice – but not enough to want to look at it again past the first five minutes….
Eric Clapton: Nothing But the Blues stand-alone Blu-ray $18 on AMZ US (28% off $25 list price)
David Bowie A Divine Symmetry LP $14.99 at Amazon US.
Porcupine Tree Deadwing Box Set now at GBP 69.99 at Amazon UK.
Beatles Let It Be CD box set is back down to £57 on Amazon DE, which is decent.
Good price on the Finn Brothers vinyl – down to £21.53 on Amazon as I type. Always lovely editions from Needle Mythology.
Ultravox Rage In Eden 6 disc cd box now only $58 on Amazon.com
The Beatles Revolver box set is down to £76.48 on Amazon UK, which I think is the lowest they’ve offered it for so far.
Tom Petty Live At Fillmore 7LP Box currently at £132 on Amazon.co.uk. Lowest I have ever seen it and to good to pass on so I took the plunge.
Just waiting for that Revolver box to fall now. I recon it will be late Summer when Rubber Soul is looming.

On May 16th, 14h30, I’ve just pre-ordered the upcoming Camel mega 33 discs boxset Air Born the Mca & Decca Years 1973 – 1984 for just 126 $ cad (75 GBP) at Camel · Air Born ¿ the Mca & Decca Years 1973 ¿ 1984 (CD) (2023) (imusic.co). Great price. Hope they will honor the price. Good day all.
It would appear the box has been cancelled by Universal. According to Hoffman forum, Wayside Music, for example, have cancelled all outstanding orders. It would have been a good price – I would check with imusic if I were you.
You are right. Thanks for the follow up. But I received an email from imusic, the same day as the Hoffman post, stating«Air Born – the Mca & Decca Years 1973 -1984 can now be ordered again». Probably, misconfusion, web posting delay or whatever, I’ll wait for imusic to cancel the order if that happens (I will not be surprised since the very very good price of the pre-order for 32 discs.).
I thought the price was too good to be true but ordered from music. I expect cancellation notice and refund any time.
I have Camel’s ‘Stationary Traveler’ on LP and it’s one of my favourite albums by Camel but is now very worn. So given the news of the box set set most likely being cancelled I ordered S.T. on CD.
I’ve been a huge Camel fan since hearing Snow Goose as a teenager in the 80s. I’ve actually been dreaming about a comprehensive box set like this for years and now the first I hear of it, it’s already been cancelled! Put an order in anyway at that price, you never know, word over at Hoffman is that it might be a temporary withdrawal. I was also supposed to be seeing the 50th anniversary tour in a few weeks time, until that got cancelled because of Andrew Latimer’s health issues. I wonder if the 2 cancellations / delays are related.
ive just ordered and says nov 11-18 2024 release date
its the longest preorder ive had i think, says Nov 2024
It’s been pretty cheap for a while, but the 30th anniversary 2CD version of Nirvana’s Nevermind is down to £3.93 on Amazon UK (which great value if you’re not too bothered about picking up the full 5CD/BR box set version).

And the deluxe mediabook version of Paul Weller’s album with Jules Buckley & the BBC Symphony Orchestra is £4.99

Thanks Matt Great Value For Both Just Ordered
I’ve linked to that Band Cahoots deal everyday since it showed up here and I’ve never seen it at that rate.
I may be wrong Stan, but I think some amazon.com deals are only available in certain territories. I’ve noticed a few deals that are live for customers in the US where you don’t see it as available to purchase from as a UK customer. Shame, as it’s a cracking deal.
Marillion’s Fugazi Deluxe 4LP Box set back on again at Amazon UK for £28 and change – https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fugazi-Deluxe-VINYL-Marillion/dp/B0948N64GW
For any U2 fans – the Amazon UK Exclusive double Orange vinyl version of Songs of Surrender has been gradually falling – currently £36 – instead of the ridiculous overpricing at £44.99 on release.
All the recent BMG/Tape Modern CD reissues of Duran Duran’s Pop Trash, Astronaut, Red Carpet Massacre and All You Need Is Now albums plus Medazzaland now for £5.99 on Amazon UK. Much cheaper than on the EU stores (if you buy them all in one order).

Bowie’s Divine Symmetry currently on Amazon UK by a 3rd party seller for £89.
..finally pulled the trigger…
If someone is interested, David Bowie’s Brilliant Live adventures 6 CDs and box are available at fnac.com: 12,99€ each, 14,99€ for the double CD and 10,99€ for the cardboard box.
Do not know if they are the exact same releases as on the official site but EAN (almost) matches. Maybe they are jewel cases?
Grabbed mine.
Just jumped on that deal, thanks Emili i can’t see them being jewel cases purely because of the box size
They’re not jewel cases, they’re LP-style digisleeves
Lowest price seen so far forBowie box Divine Symmetry 101 $ https://amzn.to/3BcJtkb
Madonna – Finally Enough Love 3CD set is £9.99 on Amazon UK
Marillions script for a jesters tear super deluxe is £23.95 on Amazon but I’ve just bagged it off an eBay seller for £20.
A GREAT deal on The Who Sells Out super deluxe 5cd+2 singles on Amazon.com. 66.50$, a 52% reduction.
I’ve actually never listened to this album in full, but loving psychedelic pop from this era and some The Who stuff I said what the hell, this seems like a fantastic price.
Amazon.ca has the big TOYAH = Anthem box for only 66 dollars!!!
Only 9 left so hurry.
Anthem – Super Deluxe Edition – 3CD / NTSC Reg 0 DVD / 2LP / 7-inch Box Set
That’s a good price. Shame they won’t ship to the UK.
I love 75% off MSRP…just picked up The Band’s Cahoots Super Deluxe Box for $40.00 all-in!
Morning! The Band’s Cahoots box has 75% off on amazon america. Just $37!
Appreciate view of other readers…… do you think Ultravox SDE sets will come down in price at some point? Currently holding off ‘Rage In Eden’ purchase but my patience is running thin & I’m starting to get the feeling it’s a fruitless exercise! You’d think experience counts for something but I always seem to pull the trigger & then obligatory price drop ensues. Any tips welcomed..regarding sets whose price is likely to stay static or go up.
in two years the vienna box set has dropped 75p at todays prices, not sure if there have been any deals on the way.
I’ve also been holding off on buying “Rage In Eden” expecting a fall in price, but nothing emerging yet. Strange, because “Vienna” came down nicely and hung around at a reasonable price for some time.
I can’t think of many super deluxe sets that haven’t come down in price at some point. In fact Prince’s 1999 is the only one I can think of as it sold out so fast.
For RIE I didn’t preorder and waited a bit. Picked it up not long after release for just over £50. I’m not rushing with the new one and will see what happens.
I have bought both previous sets from JPC for a reasonable price including P&P , cheaper than any UK retailer by a few quid…waited a while for it…currently doing the same with monument. We shall see.
Rage in Eden has now dropped to $58.12 on Amazon US
The coloured vinyl version of the Beach Boys Feel Flows which became scarce very quickly after release is currently 60 euros on uDiscover Germany. https://bravado.de/p51-i0602508802133/feel-flows-4lp-exclusive-translucent-blue-translucent-gold-vinyl-/index.html
Bagged!
10% off at Rarewaves using the code KING10 until Monday. Many items are cheaper than Amazon and it’s free UK shipping. Also if you sign up you get points for purchases depending on how much you spend. I now buy 50% of my music/DVDs/Blu-ray/books from them. Their delivery is a few days longer than Amazon but customer service is very good. I buy lots of music and always compare prices to other online sites. The only caveat to that is if I can buy direct from the artists site, I do no matter the price.
Thanks for the heads up “Phonograph”. I’ve been using Rarewaves extensively since Amazon geo-blocked Australia. They have a flat postage rate to Australia whether you buy one item or five of about $6.99 which in today’s world is a bargain.
Always found their prices competitive and as you said, customer service is good. Shipping to Australia is about 2-3 weeks (sometimes longer) but worth the wait.
Just a word of warning – I have had some terrific bargains from Rarewaves over the years, but they’re pretty unreliable in my opinion. Their shipping usually takes well over a week, their packaging can leave a lot to be desired (my Abbey Road deluxe was only sent in a polythene bag, but miraculously arrived undamaged), and I’ve had a couple of items never turn up (they had to send three copies of the Little Feat Waiting For Columbus deluxe before I finally received it – also sent in just a polythene bag).
But if all goes OK, you can get some amazing deals, no question!
Just noticed on the HMV site that some of the NOW Yearbooks are quite reasonable prices. £11.99 for some of the 4CD DELUXE yearbooks (79, 80, 81, 82, 85, 86, 80-84). All standard edition 4CDs are £6.99. Also some of the extras are £5.99 (79, 80, 85, 80-84)
Just a reminder if any of you in the UK have an Asda nearby that still stocks CDs. In my local one, most Now sets are either £5 (Standard) or £6 (Yearbooks). The latest release will always be full price-ish but will soon fall in price when the next one is released
Neil Young – World Record Vinyl (3 sides and etching side 4) was very overpriced on released, but currently just over £24 on Amazon UK and falling and around £10 cheaper than the next cheapest price. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BGT3SHDW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
many deals at universal shop in France : https://vinylcollector.store/collections/baisse-de-prix
for example :
ABBA studio albums collector box 10 lp : 52.99€ (and a lot of ABBA items for sale )
Lady Gaga – BORN THIS WAY (THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY) 3lp : 20.99€
The Beach Boys – Sounds Of Summer – 6LP box 75.99€
Paul Weller – Fat Pop – red Vinyl 8.99€
Thanks, but won’t ship to UK?
Great deals… unfortunately they sell to nearly every country… except… you guessed it… the U.K.
Merci Antoine. There are some nice buys here.
Finally I bought Eric Clapton box set at 60€ plus customs tax,
Yeah me too, pulled the trigger. For $64 it is a decent price. The original price was absurd. This package should be between $80 – $100 as a regular price. You get the cd and double vinyl, plus a bonus cd with 4 tracks (15 mins of music) and a useless book. The only special thing is the Atmos blu ray. We’ll see if it is a good mix. Usually live recordings just have the audience sound on the back speakers and the music in the front so I stopped buying live music on surround sound a long time ago. Atmos may be a different story so we’ll see. All in all $64 is a decent price.
For $64.00 it’s an incredible deal, considering the original MSRP which was absurd! Great box at the price picked up for.
Today I received the box. perfect, well packaged. Delighted with the bargain.
The Black Sabbath Sabotage Super Deluxe 4CD set is £25 on Amazon UK.
Thanks Matt! Excellent find and lowest price I’ve seen for this new. There are two listings for this on Amazon UK; one is still at the usual price of around £34, but the discounted listing is here in case anyone has trouble finding it:
https://amzn.to/3NyzhKc
It’s a great set, Sabotage still sounds superb, the book is nice and I enjoyed the live set. The final cd single is pointless but generally a great buy like the other Sabbath sets.
Just need a deluxe Sabbath Bloody Sabbath set to be released….
Agree. The remaster is much better than its 2009 counterpart. It’s a good set. I hope they get around to the other albums at some point as I’ve enjoyed the ones so far.
The next super deluxe box set release will be “Live Evil” from 1982. It’s released June 2.
Yes, looks OK (though the same album twice across 4CDs isn’t filling me with much excitement), but I had the missing Ozzy studio albums in mind really. I’m not a huge Dio-Sabbath fan.
Kylie Minogue Disco Extended Mixes Purple Double Vinyl 2LP £8,00 at amazon UK:
https://amzn.to/3NrF1Wi
Bowie boxset just came…‘Open Box’ whatever that means.
Bowie box now up to £58.93 as of Tuesday morning (East coast North America time, May 2, 2023).
Related to bowie but unrelated to deals, anybody going to attend the bowie convention in New York city this June?
That’s a fab deal for the Bowie box, got it on vinyl with an SDE deal and you’ve come good again Paul, fabulous!
Bowie’s CD box of Brilliant Adventures is currently £50 on Amazon UK, great price, and considerably less than what I paid for it….
Good spot Mr Former Scientist!
It’s probably been at this price for a while now, but I have just received the mammoth King Crimson Complete 1969 recordings from Amazon UK at £80.99. Ok it’s still a big spend but this is how to do deep dive SDE sets. A massive reduction on the release price, I was still wavering but was swayed by Paul’s comprehensive unboxing video which is excellent; thanks Paul. Looking forward to losing myself for weeks in this set, then I guess I’ll be looking for a similar reduction on some of the other KC SDE’s!
It’s a great set, definitely worth the reduced price. But there was a problem with some of these having two copies of disc either 6 or 9 (can’t remember which) mine was one of them. Easy enough to contact Burning Shed (who run the UK KC store) and get a replacement for the one that is missing but worth checking.
McCartney 1,2,3 CD boxset was on sale in Fopo Covent Garden for £30 earlier today. Not sure if thst is a good price but seems reasonable for 3 CD set
It’s still part of HMV’s Flash 50 sale, so it’s £27.49 online after the discount (plus postage). I’m tempted.
Mick Fleetwood and Friends celebrate the music of Peter Green, Super Deluxe Edition now £30 at Townsend Music, reduced from £125! https://townsendmusic.store/product/91500
Many thanks sir! I already had the 2 cd/ blu ray which I preordered at the time off Amazon and haven’t opened and might put on eBay when I get this one but this was too good an offer to pass up on. It worked out at £37 including postage which for what you’re getting is great.
I never saw the reason for combining vinyl with cds. If it is the old enemy (greed), the margins must even be higher than I knew.
I agree, it is greed from the record companies. They’ve never changed, they always ripped off their signed artists and never thought twice about ripping off the fans.
Re: mixing sets with LPs & CDs, I’m lucky because I’ve always used both formats but I do understand the feelings of music fans who use one format exclusively. However things won’t change.
Record companies in the main (there might be the odd exception) are there to make money so they’ll try to maximise their profits as best they can. Whether that’s adding one solitary new track or remix to a greatest hits album or packaging vinyl and CDs together to be able to charge more. That’s sadly how it’s always been.
It’s becoming a problem for them though if neither vinyl- nor cd-buyers are willing to pay those artificially increased prices anymore…
Rory Gallagher’s Deuce – triple vinyl is €30 on Amazon DE.
Quite a price drop on the Abba 10lp Studio Albums including the special album with singles only. Priced at 65 euros from imusic.co https://imusic.dk/exposure/11867/vinyltilbud-spar-op-til-65-
Furthermore German bravado.de running huge discounts. Abba (them again) picture discs at 18 euro https://www.bravado.de/p22-a155518/index.html
Also, at the imusic link above, vinyls box set deals : 61 % off Beach Boys Sail the Sailor 6 lps; Pj. Harvey demos rareties etc. 6 lps 59 % off; Rory Gallagher Deuce 3 lps 59 % off; and over 100 items at great prices, jazz icons, Steely Dan Can’t buy a Thrill 2002….Blondie Against The Odds 1974-1982 12 lps and 4 lps box set 36 % and 41% off…
Pink Floyd Animals box (LP/CD/DVD/Blu-Ray) $47 on AMZ US (55% off $104 list price)
First big drop on the Linkin Park – Meteora Super Deluxe big box at Amazon UK, down to £163.66 but currently temporarily out of stock… do I bite the bullet now or hold out
Marillion – Holidays In Eden 2022 Remix 3CD + Blu-Ray $36 on AMZ US (40% off $60 list price)
Let It Be cd Deluxe down to 67 euro on amazon italy
My S F Sorrow box arrived safely yesterday. All good, but surprised at no inner sleeve on the ‘Tombstone’ record.
It is ludicrously overpriced at the current price.
Some deals on Amazon DE:
Gary Kemp’s Insolo on vinyl is only €8,50
Erasure’s I Say I Say I Say 2CD edition is €7
Cheers, mates!
Thanks for Gary!
Thanks for Erasure!
Not a deal but those David Bowie ‘exclusives’ from way back when are available at FOPP Covent Garden (and I presume other U.K. bricks & mortar FOPP stores)…
This really is quite maddening.
Agreed. I’m finding that I’m not actually playing any of the BLA titles very much. I think I have some sort of psychological downer on them. The effort and stress of dealing with the crap Bowie website first time around and filling the gaps with expensive Ebay purchases has left a very bitter taste in my mouth.
Does anybody know f these new releases are different in any way from the originals or are they identical to the originals?
Identical. They just gave up on the limited edition thing and printed thousands more after all the complaints.
It bothers me a little that there’s no differentiation, what with the fact that I probably paid £50-60 more for 5 CDs that I could’ve just bought from a shop today,
Definitely one of the most shambolic releases I’ve ever seen.
But look at the bright side, they probably won’t try this again and new material will get a regular release.
I remember sitting at a screen for a whole day trying to get one of these. Outrageous way to treat fans.
Identical. I checked both the CD’s & Vinyl in the shop. Same as the ones from the Bowie site. No separate boxes to store them in that I could find was the only thing… so I guess they were the most exclusive/collectible out of everything ;/
Unsurprisingly spotted in HMV Reading today too.
Brian May Superdeluxe boxes on mega sale on Amazon.com. Another World is $33 and Back To The Light is $23!!!! No these are not the 2cd’s but the box sets.
Keith Richards Main Offender box now only $63 on Amazon.com
The Keith Richards box set is a thing of beauty
Pity about the artist! ;-))
REM New Adventures In Hifi 2CD/BR is £14 on Amazon DE.
(They also have the Nirvana Nevermind 5CD/BR set for £33).
Thanks for the heads up Paul, and i really want the Seal and George Michael sets, but as long as the record companies keep pairing cd with vinyl then i am really not biting, unless the price drops a lot more.
Will they ever learn?
To each his own, but I am always pleased to get the CD or bluray with the vinyl. This to me is more bang for your buck. It seems unlikely that just vinyl or just digital would result in a material cost reduction. Cheers.
The Stones – Some Girls is Currently £47.26 on Amazon through Reflexcd!
Let It Be box set is down to £54 on Amazon UK now…I’ve already ordered it twice due to the price drop, with a view to return the most expensive copy.
£51.97 on Amazon UK now. The price keeps creeping down.
Not quite as good as the deceased Amazon deal – however Madfish website has The Pretty Things box set for £75 which is considerably cheaper than the current Amazon price of £172!
Animals offer back on at 7.20 p.m. on Wednesday. Bagged one.
Top spot, Horslips.
Anyone know what the vinyl quality is like in the box set? I know the early pressings were not the best for the stand alone vinyl version.
I bought the package after Horslips notification – thank you. For £32 it is a beautiful package and the vinyl sounds brilliant – what a great album, and only 2 slight clicks across the whole record. It’s now £60, so buy it quick when you next see the price drop.
SEAL is back at £56 on Amazon UK.
I’m not super-optimistic about that SFSorrow deal, it’s back up to full-price and .. yeah.
I guess congrats are due to those that got the Dylan “Springtime” box deal that’s also over, I got the 2lp that’ll do me for now.
I see over on the Rarewaves site the Dylan ‘Springtime’ box is still available for £58.01. Free shipping within UK.
After some dithering, I also went for the S F Sorrow box. It does look good and is a great record.
I will have to find where Dick Taylor lives over here and get it signed.
Thanks for the heads up on the Pretty Things SF Sorrow box set – an all-time classic at what looks like a great price. Just snapped it up.
And thanks to Paul for the site. It performs a great service. I can’t understand how anyone can hold Paul responsible for deals sometimes ending quickly, that’s just sheer stupidity.
Great deal; I’ve been after the S.F. Sorrow set for ages.
Animals offer didn’t last long :-( Back up to £59.54
Yeah, shame. I wish some people would understand these deals are time-limited. I occasionally get really angry emails asking why I’ve lied to people “Where is this deal you promised me!!”
It’s a shame the comments are moderated (although I understand they probably need to be), as some offers are probably over by the time you approve the comments about them.
But you do an amazing job here Paul, for me this is probably the most valuable site on the net.
Paul; I don’t know if this helps explain people missing deals, but I check your site several times a day – every day – and I notice your new posts usually within an hour or less of when you post them. However, I receive the e-mail notification about your new post roughly 6-8 hours AFTER I’ve already found it myself. I use a yahoo account in the USA and there’s a very long delay between when you first post articles on this site and when I get the e-mail. Unless you keep this site open and refreshed most of the day, it’s possible to miss out. I don’t know if everyone experiences this same delay, but I sure do.
Most people get the emails straight away. I’d talk to your email provider.
Blimey Billy san, you mean yahoo still exists? Have you also a MySpace account, maybe even a landline? Please fax me the details.
I’ll go one worse: my main email is an SBC Global addy. SBC (Southern Bell Corp) was a splinter from the great AT&T breakup, which then eventually acquired AT&T and branded the merged company as AT&T. BUT – my email is administrated by Yahoo!
Obviously I need to switch to a modern email provider, as recieving SDE notices rapidly is a high-priority requirement. ;)
And would you believe, 2 days after this post, I started getting my e-mail notifications simultaneously with the article’s appearance here on SDE. Like within 15-20 minutes. So, I assume that someone at Yahoo checks this site for upcoming SDE releases and saw my grievance..! See Paul, your good work reaches deeper into the nether world than you imagined!
LOL, landline? Not yet, but I hope to get one soon. I was in a pub chatting with a Scotsman named A.G. Bell a few days ago, and he said it was almost ready for mass production. But I dunno, I’ll try it, but I’ll be hard pressed to give up my good ol’ telegraph wire.
I am grateful for the work you do and with the community by sharing the bargains.
I do not understand how people can be so rude, if it is not because the interest they have is not honest.
There’s a kernel of truth in the old saying that “no good deed goes unpunished.”
It does seem to be that there is demand related pricing going on, or as soon as a certain number of sales happen at a certain price the price goes back up. I’m sure it will drop again soon. If I’m really interested in something I stick it in my wishlist and check that regularly. I still check on here too though, you never know what else might pop up. But it’s also worth checking ebay and other sites regularly too, you never know where these things might pop up.
I just throw things in my basket/cart. At least on Amazon, the cart has the option to “save for later”, which is very handy. I’ve had items in there for months/years, waiting for a price drop.
Animals already back up to original price :-(
Animals deluxe set is now at £32.50 on Amazon UK…..
And now back upto approx £60 – didn’t last long.
The Tragically Hip – Road Apples (30th Anniversary Deluxe Vinyl Edition) 6LP + Blu-Ray $78 on AMZ US (57% off $180 list price)
Elvis on Tour Blu-ray + 6CD box set $65.50 on AMZ US (40% of $110 list price)
A lot of initially overpriced SDEs on sale currently (Clapton, Michael, Beatles, Beach Boys).
A step into the right direction?
Always the way. Can’t think of many box sets that haven’t eventually halved in price over the years. I guess the model is to get the super-fans into paying full price then gradually drop the price until it hits the price it arguably should’ve been at the start (more often than not, about £60).
Zappa – always overpriced and never go down… *sigh*
Snagged the Clapton deal this time around! Thanks for the heads up SDE!
For those of you into NAT KING COLE and the NAT KING COLE TRIO as well as his early jazz years, Amazon US has a sensational deal on the exquisite 10-LP Deluxe box titled ‘Hittin’ The Ramp: The Early Years 1936-1943′. My £55 Revolver SDE just arrived from Rough Trade – now THAT is how you package an expensive set for postage, Amazon!! In it’s own cardboard shipper, then several layers of bubble wrap, then wrapped in black plastic.
Thanks to Simon Kernow for the heads up, very happy with that price. And complaints about the lack of surround mix aside, it’s a lovely set.

The Rough Trade eBay store is currently selling ‘The Beatles – Revolver (Special Edition)’ CD for £59.99.
THANK YOU!!! £59.99 has been my target price for this for a long time. Delighted for the tip
THANK YOU, they are increasing quantity available so worth checking back if showing as sold out – you can get another £4.80 0ff with code – SPEND8

That’s on the Rough Trade website. It’s £59.99 (with an extra £4.80 off) on ebay, I just bought it. It’s showing in and out of stock, so keep trying.
Saw this late last night – thanks! Figured it was time to bite the bullet at just over £55 with the code…
Thanks for the heads up
Ai, only read this today. Think it’s gone now
David Bowie Toy EP CD from RSD2022 is only £7.99 on Amazon UK. Aren’t you glad you paid twice that last year?
Garbage’s 3rd Album ‘Beautiful Garbage’ is available on amazon UK @ £6.99 for the 3 CD box set reissue
I bought this after reading a few reviews and I was very impressed – especially with the contrast between the album and CD3 the remixes – thanks for the tip
Bowie’s Brilliant Adventure CD box set is £49.98 on Amazon UK. An absolute bargain, that one.
Amazon AU has George Michael’s Older Super deluxe 3LP/5CD set for AUD $93 (about GBP 50) if anyone’s interested.
(Note- Amazon AU does not ship outside Australia)
Hi, just bought the 10 LP Abba box at platenzaak.nl for 70 € in the sale. Platenzaak is a Universal Company division. They have international shipping, but I don’t know the shipping rates. You can find it here: https://platenzaak.nl/collections/sale/products/abba-studio-albums-10lp-boxset
In sale also The Who’s Tommy half speed master for 28 € and lots of other items
Thanks for this. I have been checking the last few days, earlier it was sold out, but now it’s back on.
Received mine yesterday. It was an open box with only 8 lp’s in it. They are awaiting new stock next week and sent a replacement
Here’s an odd one: A couple of days ago, I was going to mention the Van Der graaf Generator “Chrysalis Years” box, 17 CDs and 3 Blu-ray’s, at hmv for £65 or so. I saw one in the shop, stroked my theoretical beard…
Went to the hmv webshop, but it had been “withdrawn”.
Back to the shop today, gone.
Looked up around the place, found one on eBay for ‘even less’, but it had only discs 13 to 20. In fact, two copies of each. So, maybe that’s why it got withdrawn.
So, if anybody here bought one (cheap or full price), you might want to open the shrink-wrap and check….
Not a huge one but the Pink Floyd Animals CD/DVD/BR/LP set is £36 on Amazon UK, which might be as cheap as I’ve seen it.
Caution advised there as there are known pressing issues with the vinyl version of this which is why I sent mine back as I had this problem and bought the blu ray and CD separately and decided against buying the vinyl version again.
Nothing wrong with my LP from
Animals
SDE, it plays great. The first LP I got in the 4 disc box was terrible, very crackly, but the replacement was fine, so probably hit and miss. If you buy from Amazon, they are good with returns, so it’s a safer bet.
My LP plays great too. No crackles or surface noise.
Sort of a deal…..anyone looking for the 2cd version of Thomas Dolby’s ‘A Map of the Floating City’, should check out Burning Shed, who are doing it for £14 new, reasonable compared to after market prices.
https://burningshed.com/store/thomasdolby/thomasdolby_floatingcity_2cd
Cherry Red website have 20% off vinyl. Use code TURNTABLE20, includes sale stock.
Yay, just pick up my Let it Be box, got the vinyl on a SDE alert for £88 last summer, so both boxes for £152, result, thanks Paul
The two cd version of Let It Be is £9 on amazon UK, or £5.60 +£1.90 postage from a third party seller.
The two cd of Lazarus, with the David Bowie tracks on disc 2 is £2.90 on amazon UK.
Prince’s Gold cd is €2.46 on amazon Spain, with €3.04 postage to the UK
On Amazon UK, The Ducks (Neil Young) – High Flyin’ Triple Vinyl. Of the 2 releases, this is the better sound quality one that sounds soundboard like to me. Was a reasonable £30.99 for 3 LPs on release yesterday, but has now tumbled a massive 18% the day after release to £25.46, basically sticking two fingers up to every single fan that pre-ordered it as a drop just outside of the pre-order price guarantee period. Classy! Anyway – dive in if you’ve not already! https://amzn.to/3mzTVi2
Thanks for this Rich.
Now snapped up.
3 x LPs for £25?
Can’t go wrong with that.
Busy old weekend, I also got APP “Tales of mystery & imagination”, “Older” George Michael box set and was very very lucky to get Human league “The Virgin Years” 5 vinyl set half price at HMV.
I now just need to make sure my missus isn’t around when postman or Amazon van comes this week!
Rush – Moving Pictures (40th Anniversary) Super Deluxe 3CD/5LP/Blu-Ray $145 on AMZ US (52% off $300 list price)
George Michael’s Older 3LP/5CD box set is down to less than £84 on Amazon UK at the moment – though looks likely to drop further!
Ha! The vagaries of Amazon. I saw Dolby’s post below and yes, £60.88 and I decided to bite the bullet and get Let it Be. My wife came in and asked if I’d rung our friend who’d just come out of hospital, so I did that, clicked back in to Amazon about 4 and a half minutes later and it’s up to £74.88. Pooh!
It is £50.48 on Chalkys website right now. I got one in January and it’s A1.
Nirvana Nevermind 5CD/BR is back to £38 on Amazon UK.
And Neil Young’s Young Shakespeare LP/CD/BR is back down to £21
Let It Be (Super Deluxe) is £60.88 on Amazon UK at the time of writing (1300 on Friday 14th). Finally given in and ordered one. Have a good weekend everyone.
Acoustic Sounds in the US, the Let it Be 5 lp is 79.98. https://store.acousticsounds.com/index.cfm?get=detail&Title_ID=165231
Deep Discount has a number of vinyl deals going on at the moment.
Some of them:

The Beatles – Let It Be US$44
Def Leppard – Vinyl Boxset: Vol. 3 US$56

DeepDiscount.com, ImportCDs.com, Popmarket.com, ebay store deepdiscount, ebay store get_importcds , ebay store pop.market, and discogs user popmarket are all run by the same company. Confusingly, they not only vary their prices on sale items, but also their shipping rates and their bulk discount code offers. If you do a bit of comparison shopping, you’ll find somewhat lower prices than these on the other sites, but depending on the shipping and the quantity of sets you purchase it may or may not be a better deal.
Yeah, realized this as well as they all ship out of the same warehouse in Shepherdsville, KY. Best deals usually from their Ebay ids where they offer % off if you buy a certain quantity or spend a certain amount. get_importcds has 20% off $65+ orders now. A great way to catch up on new releases.
Similarly, if you collect movies (4k/Blu-Ray/DVD) you can get good deals on Gruv.com (online outlet for Universal Studios releases) with frequent sales but better deals buying from their Ebay account where you get further discounts off their sale prices. Speaking of movies, Kino Lorber is having one of their four-times-a-year sales now on their site through April 24 I believe. Great deals.
If you live in the USA (they won’t ship it to the UK, sadly – too heavy) DeepDiscount have the Bowie Brilliant Adventures vinyl box (18 LPs) for $108!!
AND the Depeche Mode Ultra 12″ box for a shade under $50!
Plenty of other vinyl goodies, too :)
Just snagged the Ultra 12″ set at Walmart.com for $34.30 w/free shipping!
Just in, Def Leppard Volume 3 vinyl $59.64 USD Amazon.com US 67% off MSRP 179.98!
Also Brian May Back to the Light 2 CD deluxe with vinyl $22.99 USD Amazon.com US 79% off 109.98 MSRP!
That Clapton box is grossly overpriced. It should be $60 to $80 year round. It has 5 discs and a book. The New Order Low Life box is 5 discs and a book and costs $140 and everyone says THAT box is overpriced. Aside from the fact that Clapton hasn’t done anything original in many, many years.
Scored the Clapton deal and I think it was fast. Now let’s bring on some deals for the overpriced: Revolver, Beach Boys (Sail On Sailor) and Costello/Bacharach sets.
2 quid for the very recent second album by Inhaler on cd at amazon at the moment. Great album.
Great spot ordered
That’s a good album. Definitely a lot of his dad’s influence in his singing.
Well, thought I’d see if there were any deals on the new Depeche Mode and am now awaiting a Let it Be box set , thanks Paul. Just why is the new DM so expensive on CD?
A question I have also pondered. £16 @ Asda, £22 at HMV (Shop not online), £21 Amazon. Not even any extra tracks, just in a casebound book.
I’d say because Depeche Mode has lots of fans who order their stuff regardless of price.
For instance there are currently two different music magazines available here in Germany that both come with a cover mounted 7″-single of DM’s new song ‘Ghosts Again’.
Musik Express offers it on black vinyl with the song occupying one side of the record, the flipside has no music just an etching.
The German edition of Rolling Stone magazine has the same track on side one, but this record includes an actual song on side two, which is a live rendition of band classic ‘Never Let Me Down Again’.
As i wrote earlier both magazines are currently still available on newsstands all over Germany for 10€ each.
Despite of that there are already several offers for those on eBay selling copies of the magazines for 20 to 30€ each or offering bundles including both magazines starting at about 50€.
So despite ‘cost of living’-crises all over the planet there are obviously enough lucky individuals left that simply don’t care about the prices for luxury items and pay them (almost) regardless of the prices of things.
Keeping on the subject of Depeche Mode and magazines, there was a magazine dealer pushing out the recent Mojo magazine that featured a DM cover mount CD on eBay at £30 a pop, whilst it was still in circulation. They’d sold hundreds.
You say “here in Germany”, but what if you’re not in Germany? Those that were aware and don’t live in Germany would have had to order it online in advance, like I did. Last time I checked, it was sold out online. So there’s no other way to get these items other than being fleeced on eBay/Discogs etc. And yes some people will be able to afford them whatever the price being asked. There’s also the additional enticement that these 7″s are the ONLY physical formats available for this single.
Crazy thing, finding the Rolling Stones “Some Girls” Box Set while looking for a sump pump, on Amazon USA. Yes, the $85.99 deal is over because it’s $10 dollars less @ $75.99 (Mine actually shipped from Australia.) I am curious as to what the Stones next SDE will be and when.
Clapton deal is gone
Just went to grab the deal at 1:00 pm eastern and the Clapton box set is $151.66. Congrats to all that got that deal and thanks to SDE for the alert.
https://amzn.to/3GCV6UF The Beatles let it Be in amazon France at 72 € . Good Deal.
I just picked up Eric Clapton Nothing but the Blues Super Deluxe box set Amazon.com US for $60.99 plus tax. 73% off MSRP of $229.99! Incredible deal!
