  1. Pretty Things Live At The BBC 6CD set is £31 on Amazon UK, which I think might be about as low as I’ve seen it.

And Pretenders II 3CD set is £17.40

    1. Pretty Things still available for £31 from a 3rd party on Amazon UK (it was offered at that price by Amazon when I posted earlier). Also available for £29.71 from Badlands on eBay.

    1. Wow, thanks for this, I’m not familiar with her music but she’s someone I’ve been meaning to check out for a while so this is a no-brainer.

    2. Thanks for this. I’ve ordered but half expecting it to be cancelled. The Rough Trade listing is a bit weird. It has it listed as a pre-order with a release date later in March but this set was released a couple of years ago.

      1. Yeah, my first thought was there’s a CD version coming and they’ve listed the vinyl version in error, but it does say reduced from £180 and clearly marked “SALE” so let’s hope it’s real and they honour it!

        1. Let’s hope so. The advert was definitely for the 8LP version. Price is now up to £179.99 again and it’s on “Notify Me” status indicating they have sold out.
Other Madfish related partner sites seem to have this on sale at £145. It did occur to me that maybe somebody managed to drop the “1” when the reduced price was loaded on to the system….

  2. MUSWELL/EVERYBODY’S Box and LOLA superdelux arrived today, very good packaging from TM STORES,
order in time, no problem, i’m very satisfied.
Thanks SDE for the deal information.

      1. Same for me. The Muswell/Everybody box plus 2 other very reasonably priced Kinks CDs (I had already bought Lola and Village Green boxes) turned up yesterday beautifully packaged and perfect. All still available by the looks of it too.

    1. Yes, Village Green and Muswell Hill/Everybody’s boxes arrived for me on Monday. Packaging was first class. They are both huge boxes, so great value for the discounted asking price. Having got the Lola box last year, my only wish is that the Arthur box was available for a decent price as well.

      1. The Arthur box is the one that I am missing. It was pretty expensive initially and then sold out everywhere quite quickly. I have never seen it at a reasonable price.

        1. That’s true. Wasn’t it a limited edition? Obviously, all sets like these are to a degree, but Arthur is much less available than the others. Ironically, it is much smaller in size (7″) than the two big boxes. Also with 4 CDs and 4 7″s, it has substantially less content than them. It should have really been priced similar or just a little more than Lola. I have both the 2011 and the 2019 2CD versions, as well as the Dave Davies Hidden Treasures set, which seems to round up the mono mixes of his Lost album. So, it’s really only the stuff on disc 4 that I’m missing on CD.

    2. Whilst the deals for Muswell and Lola have been well publicised the one for the Village Green box is a bit more under the radar. £65 seems a very good price indeed!

    3. I ordered the village green and muswell hill/everybody super deluxe boxes last friday.out of curiosity how long did you wait for delivery?

        1. Hi Kuko, did your order get stopped at Customs? I ordered to Spain and currently having a hard time to get UPS to provide a delivery date as it seems to be stuck at Customs… Thanks Brexit!

          1. Recap.the kinks box sets arrived today Saturday.well pleased. they’re big buggers aren’t they?

  3. Nirvana Nevermind 5 Cd Set back on offer via Amazon at £38.98! Kinks deals are still on according to BMG website. My Muswell/Everybody’s delivered yesterday.

  4. For US readers, the Frontiers Music label is selling off a bunch of stock in preparation for a warehouse move. The label focuses on neo-prog, hard rock and legacy artist AOR, but there are a few items that may appeal to SDE readers.

Leading the list would be the deluxe boxed edition of The Joy Formidable’s “AAARTH” album: colored vinyl lp, picture disc 7” with two exclusive tracks, full color booklet, download card, and badge, in a die-cut box, marked down to US $20.

Alan Parsons fans will find the “One Note Symphony” package in a variety of formats: blu-ray ($5), 2cd + dvd ($5), or triple yellow vinyl ($15). There’s also “The Neverending Show” triple blue vinyl for $20.

There are live blu-rays from FM, Neil Morse, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot, as well as dozens of cds, double cds, and cd/dvd sets for $5. Plus lots of colored vinyl at $10 for single albums, $15 for doubles, and $20 for triples.

Alas, this is not my kind of thing, but maybe it’s yours.

Edit: Sorry, forgot the link … https://frontiers-us.shop/collections/5-cds?

  5. That was bloody fast! My Muswell/Everybody’s BIG Box arrived today. For the original price – £140+ robbery, for that reduced Amazon price £97+ maybe but for £58 inc. shipping a bloody bargain. Checked out the contents – very, very nice. Nice book, pics and a map of the band’s London homeland. All the LPs nice, clean, flat excepting LP2 from Everybody which is slightly warped, however I’ve got one of those Record Pi disc flatteners arriving next week so it can start paying for itself.

    1. Can anyone list a link where you c a buy the magazine that I includes the cd? I went to various websites and none of them specifically stated that a cd is included. Thanks!

    2. About three weeks ago in this thread the release of a 7″ including the new Depeche Mode song ‘Ghosts Again’ given away as a freebie with German magazine Musikexpress was mentioned.
As this will only have an etching on the flip side maybe some readers will like to hear that the German edition of Rolling Stone in its April edition will also include a 7″ of this new DM song but here you’re gonna get a version of ‘Never Let Me Down Again’ on the other side.

Like the Musikexpress magazine this can also be ordered on the web from the website of Rolling Stone’s German edition http://www.rollingstone.de

  6. Since there has been some doubt about those Kinks deals: I just saw on my shop-account that my purchase of the Muswell etc. boxset shows as ‘complete’. And that it was shipped/being shipped today (via Royal Mail). That looks promising!

  7. I ordered the Muswell Hillbillies and Lola sets last Saturday (18th Feb) and received email stating allow 7 days for despatch. Not had any further info sent out. I don’t think these orders will be cancelled as the site is still offering these sets at the knockdown prices nearly a week on. However I do agree with other comments saying that there was probably a glut of orders for what many people will see as quite a bargain.

    1. Well, I’m optimistic as:
      1) The orders were through BMG – I see my order history going back many years, only four items but they all came fine
      2) There is a “change or cancel” button, so I guess if you can’t wait or find it cheap elsewhere you can.

      So, I can wait….

I don’t follow the “Townsend” comment below – this is not them. Unless you know something..

  8. Ordered the Kinks Muswell Hillbillies Box set last friday and have this notice on my order ” This item is currently awaiting arrival of the stock. We are working as hard as we can to have this available as soon as possible.” Anybody else got this message or indeed has anybody received the box set yet??

    1. I ordered it, plus 2 other CDs, early on Friday 17th and all 3 have the same notice as you. Hopefully, they were just snowed under by SDE customers and they will get dispatched.

      1. I also ordered last Friday but haven’t had anything about awaiting stock. However I wouldn’t be surprised if orders for the £50 box were cancelled. Has anyone had confirmation of shipping?

    2. I’ve had issues with a couple of orders like this from Townsend before where it says “awaiting stock”. They will generally not cancel it and if they don’t locate stock it will likely stay at “awaiting stock” forever, even if the stock never arrives and simply doesn’t exist. Not had great experiences with their customer service.

      1. Just to clarify – Townsend are fine most of the time and this one will probably be fulfilled OK, it’s just that I’ve had a couple of orders go awry and they’re not good at preemptively notifying you if the order is never fulfilled or even delayed from their end. Just keep an eye on your orders and chase them up.

    3. To be honest I’m not sure I’m bothered whether or not the order is full-filled. So far this year I’ve bought the Revolver LP SDE, CCR Live/Albert Hall SDE, Horslips SDE, Neutral Milk. Hotel SDE, Bob Dylan Fragments 10LP, Alan Parsons Mystery & Imagination SDE. Last night I attempted to place them on the shelves, no dice! No bloody room. I’m now going to try to convince we don’t need a bed in the spare room, I wonder how that one will go?

    4. I have the same message for the orders placed last weekend. If I recall correctly I have had the message re: awaiting stock and waiting 7 days for dispatch on most orders from different artist stores through Townsend. All my previous orders have arrived albeit after a couple of weeks, and in some cases following a chase up. Fingers crossed for these

  9. no sure if it is now permanent but digital stores (universal sound of vinyl etc) have upgraded their packaging for LP’s to almost bullet proof packaging, if course if they put in with a creased sleeve to start with that does not help but the replacement was perfect

  10. Just ordered a number of lp’s from Assai on sale at the moment: Abba Voyage £9.99, Eurythmics Savage and Be Yourself represses £11.99. Also have some of the John Grant albums reduced.

    1. Thanks very much, Trevor. Went for Spiritualized, Mark Lanegan & Duke Garwood, EOB, Mogwai and the Notorious B.I.G. myself.

For those interested: Bobby Gillespie and Jehnny Beth’s Utopian Ashes LP is only £5.99. Some good stuff at £11.99, £12.99 and £14.99.

    1. ‘Finally, I got one’ you’ll be rueing the day you discovered the S.D.E. site. Your kids will be starving, the heating will be off, the bailiffs knocking on your door but fear not your top of the range hi-fi will be blasting out those stacks of S.D.E. box sets piled up on your shelves and against your walls. Priorities, you have to get these right. Hur hur hur ;-))

    1. Caution advised Glenn, I had the box set and sent it back due to a poor pressing of the vinyl LP that came with it and so bought the CD and Blu Ray separately, I know they can’t all be bad but the trouble is/was I wasn’t alone upon further reading and so if you do go for it yourself play the vinyl version 1st to see if it’s playing ok. The main fault was that it played like a very poor original copy that had been played many times ie too much surface noise and whilst I know vinyl even new vinyl sometimes suffers from it depending on who pressed it, this one was particularly poor.

      1. I ordered Ultravox’s Vienna album from Amazon UK around 5 years ago, maybe a bit longer. When it arrived – sealed – the sound quality was terrible. Like a too heavy stylus had been playing it and damaged the grooves. When I had a proper look at it, it was obvious someone had sent a used copy of it back, lots of scratches and hairlines. But what was most annoying, was that they had just re-shrink-wrapped it and returned it to stock, without even examining it.

  11. Re: The Kinks Muswell Hillbillies/Everbodys In Showbiz Super Duper Box Bargain, I reckon there won’t be any more Kinks SDEs, the cut price sale of this and other Kinks SDEs although great for us bargain hunters will put an end to any more Kinks SDEs.

I have been known to be wrong and in this instance I hope I am.

    1. Thanks Paul,
To good to miss. What a steal!
I agree, this SDE can’t have sold many but then again it was overpriced and the additional content was not terrific. You need to put thought into these things when charging top dollar.
I bought the LPs separately before Christmas but will sell them on once this set arrives.
Just need big drops for The Beatles Revolver and Beach Boys sets now.

      1. I agree with what you say Linky, whoever conceived of combining both albums for a SDE was plain daft. And the almost non-existent additional content? As Andrew R says the quality and in my opinion the duplication of content from previous deluxe editions was ill conceived.

      2. Sets like these would be great for someone like me, who loved the Kinks of the sixties but never filled out his collection with later albums.

However, I live stateside. The official US Kinks store doesn’t offer these sets at all — nothing there but the new compilation on CD and LP. And the shipping from the “global” Kinks store is USD $58, which more than eliminates the discount.

    2. I agree but the problem with the kinks output of SDE’s was they are t special enough . Poor quality covers cheap paper all different sizes . Compare and contrast with Maccas deluxe’s the quality is another level . It’s no longer enough to just put something out the market is full and the customer base is very discerning. My 2cents only .

    3. I fear you may be right, the price reductions were both steep and came about in a very short time following their original release, indicating that they aren’t selling as well as expected. I bought 3 of the Cat Stevens super deluxe sets averaging around £70 each (they were released at double that price). The fact that the prices dropped so rapidly, coupled with the fact that the next Stevens anniversary album reissue (Catch Bull at Four) was not given a deluxe edition release might suggest that these super dupers were an record industry money making experiment that may not be paying off for them in the long term.

  12. Not the Kinks, but there is a seller on Ebay listing Vol 2 of Level 42’s The Polydor Years set at £28 or best offer, plus £3 postage. There were 10 for sale when I looked earlier.

  13. Not a deal as such, but I have read the excellent news that 4 of the classic 10cc albums are receiving brand new remasters the first 2 will be released on vinyl imminently ( it might even be today)….. What none of the articles I’ve read reveals is whether they will also receive CD or high res download releases? I fear the worst … Does any SDE reader know?? If so, Elvis Costello isn’t alone!!

  14. Just a shout out to say the list is out I notice for RSD April 22nd in U.K. I look forward to your review of titles Paul nearer the event. Always so helpful in seeing some of the products close up before hand if you can this year

  15. I don’t know if this deal is available outside the Netherlands.
On amazon.nl the ‘Yesterday Today 1992-2018’ box by Ocean Colour Scene is available for 48,97 euros.
    A steal considering it’s a box with 15 cds.

  16. The Official Kinks website has some decent prices for some deluxe boxsets: Village Green Preservation Society (£65), Muswell Hillbillies/Everybodys In Showbiz (£50) and Lola (£28).

      1. I just ordered a bunch of stuff here and the postage was £8, which is reasonable. I got the signed ‘Village Green’ from SDE and already had the ‘Lola’ box at about £38 which I thought was good, but £28 is crazy.

      2. I take it back Glen but when I looked after your initial message the price was £150+ however NOW it is £50+ shipping, a true bargain. Even though I already have Muswell Hillbillies on CDx2 and LP/EIS 3LP as a Kinks fan to not take this offer would be daft. However I already have 5 Kinks Kompilations so I’m not daft enough to buy the new Komp but if the price drops to £4.99…

    1. thanks for the details, for those who might just want the Lola box set it is on amazon for £29 including free uk delivery for prime members. I ordered the two big boxsets for the site for an incredible price and now i am panicing about the damage that might be caused, does they come in bespoke boxes ?

  17. Fleetwood Mac Live 3CD/2LP/7” box set is down to £41 on Amazon UK. Only 11 sets available at that price (8am, Tuesday), though, so move quick if you’re interested.

  18. Couple of small price drops on amazon.co.uk. Clash Combat Rock + People’s Hall is £8.99 (from a couple of 3rd party sellers) and Pixies Doggerel Deluxe is £9.99.

    1. Seems to have been a small drop on a few of these deluxe sets.

Motorhead Iron Fist 40th Anniversary 2CD is down to £10
Buena Vista Social Club 2CD is £8
Plastic Ono Band Ultimate Mix 2CD is £11

  19. Has anyone else had difficulties getting the Thin Lizzy Live And Dangerous 8CD box set? I ordered a copy from FNAC in France but have now had an email to say the order has been cancelled. Am still waiting to see if my order from Amazon France will be fulfilled. Certain sites seem to take orders even where there is no possibility of obtaining stock from the supplier. Fortunately I managed to purchase one from the Udiscover Music Store in Canada which has now been despatched. I understand that as the total value of the package is less than £135 I won’t be charged 20% import VAT. Is my understanding correct, Paul?

    1. There was a similar problem I recall with the previous Rock Legends box. It “sold out” pretty quickly and started commanding silly prices on Ebay, but then further stock started to appear about 6 months later from an obvious second run. Feels that this is likely to happy again with Live & Dangerous. It’s almost as though those in charge of the Thin Lizzy legacy are crap at anticipating demand so only initially press a modest amount to sound out the market…………

    2. I’ll be amazed if my Amazon FR order is fulfilled. Been over a week and it’s not been dispatched, so I’ll assume it’s a non-starter and that I’ve missed out.

    3. Hi Sheldon,

i also pre-ordered about a week before release date from a German online shop and received a similar mail.

Have now ordered from my favourite record shop in the Netherlands and they say they’ll keep me posted if they should receive the record company’s message for a second run.

I understand that they won’t risk sitting on unsold stock for a long time but after the experience they had with the ‘Rock Legends’ box i’m also quite incredulous that they’re not even able to fulfil all pre-orders they received.

IIRC it was announced as a limited edition but not with a certain number.

I guess it will take some time again because of the limited amount of pressing plants these days but i think that they’ll do another run in the end, so i won’t bother looking for decent offers on eBay.

  20. I was fortunate enough to buy the Guns n’ Roses Appetite For Destruction 4CD+blu-ray from Amazon UK in August 2021 for only £44.92. A nice set. As a completist I would have liked One in a Million to be included, but I understand why it wasn’t.

  21. More of a question than a comment…how “live” are the links that show prices on the release calendars?

I ask as I recently decided I’d got a bargain on the Little Feat 8CD live set and was about to post the information here when I thought I’d better do some research so searched for, and found, the relevant news item which showed a price in the USA which was a fair few £ less than I had just paid. Clicking on the link it took me to Amazon US which offered a current price in £ which though not as low as shown on SDE still would have saved me enough for a couple of pints, even with postage. (And they would ship to my address).

Is that simply a leftover effect of the set being priced much lower in the USA in the first place?

    1. I think it might have to do more with .com having much more stock of this in their warehouses than .co.uk that won’t sell at the original (steep) price…

I only bought it shortly after release because it was on offer for about 30% less than the usual asking price at some German online shop.

  22. The 2022 2CD version of Black Sabbath’s Heaven & Hell (with the 2021 Remaster) is available at HMV for £8.99. Unusually Amazon UK haven’t price-matched yet.

      1. Yeah, I noticed that but the 2021 remaster is supposedly to be the best remaster on CD so far (so that’s the one I’ve gone for). Those 2009/2010 Sabbath remasters were really heavy handed and very muddy. That’s been the one useful thing about the recent reissue campaign, that, for me, they’ve improved the sound noticeably on the albums they’ve bothered to look at so far.

        1. Thanks for your comments about the remasters, that’s useful to know. Rarewaves UK still has the 2009/2010 2CD Deluxe Editions of Heaven & Hell, Mob Rules and the debut album for £6.80 each.

  23. The latest edition of Mojo has a freebie CD festuring a selection of tracks from the Bob Dylan’s Bootleg series. Collectors will have the tracks already but may like this sort thing to add to their collection!

    1. Latest issue of Rolling Stone Germany (yes the mag is printed in German!) has a Dylan 7” single with 2 tracks from Fragments B.S. 17. You can order it in the U.K. for just under £15, sorry can’t provide a link on this machine, betting hurry in may sell out quickly.

      1. No need to hurry right now because there are normally more than 10.000 copies of these 7″es available as the complete retailer print has it it included.

Subscribers can choose whether they want it or not (if so they’ll be charged an additional 2€ for the 7″) but i guess that most of them choose the option of having the 7″ mounted as well because these 7″es usually can be sold some time later for substantially more than 2€ on the second hand market places.

  24. The PJ Harvey 3xCD B-Sides/Demos/etc is available on Amazon UK from a 3rd party seller (Badlands) at £12.09 (£13.35 with Postage). Ordered mine yesterday and it arrived today!

    1. Oh weird. I ordered it and didn’t get charged for postage (I’m in the UK). Wonder what will happen?
I think they did something similar with the last album didn’t they?

      1. I’m in the UK and ordered Neil Young and Springsteen issues with 7” singles a couple of years ago. I got an invoice for the postage with the magazine. It wasn’t excessive although I seem to recall having to Google how to interpret their account details for electronic payment.

    2. It now has a track listing

      A-side: “Ghosts Again”.
B-side: “Logo Etching”. -> almost regretting I ordered it now. Unless this actually a song title :))

      1. Don’t get your hopes too high about that flipside track…

Seriously: Especially MusikExpress does that thing with just etching the b-side sometimes.

It’s better with the 7″ given away with German Rolling Stone, lately we had a Springsteen 7″ with the January issue, currently a Dylan 7″ with tracks from the TOOM box as a freebie on the February edition.

        Both include two songs.

But if you have second thoughts about that 7″ with the Depeche Mode song there’s a good chance that you’ll find some DM enthusiast in some months time on eBay and the likes who’ll pay you substantially more for it than you’re spending now.

  25. Depeche Mode – 101 Blu-Ray $18 on AMZ US (28% off $25 list price)

Marillion – Holidays In Eden 3CD + Blu-Ray Deluxe Edition $38 on AMZ US (37% off $60 list price)

    1. The RS mono box is now back to approx. €280 at fnac.ch, which is still a good price. Free shipping in Switzerland, don‘t know about the rest of Europe.

  26. The SDE of ‘Live At The Budokan Arena – Tokyo, Japan, 1983’ by Asia featuring two coloured vinyl records, the concert on cd and, exclusive to the box, a second cd, a blu-ray, a 40 page book and several other memorabilia, packaged in a 12″ x 12″ sized box is now available via Amazon.uk for £45 or Amazon.de for 55€, also a bit cheaper from various 3rd party sellers.

Seems they haven’t shifted that many copies at the original price of £100€…

I, too, went for the single cd for a fraction of that price when it was released last year.

    1. As this is pre-order, this means that those of us who steamed in at £18.99 when it was first announced should get the lower price now, correct?

  27. Nice price but I have stopped ordering box sets from Amazon US as the last four I’ve ordered have come in jiffy bags rather than cardboard boxes. So that means dents, scuffs, broken trays etc.

  28. Oh my Gawd!!!!! Just ordered The Dylan box from another site. Cancelled it and ordered from Amazon. This is a great deal day for me. Glad you let us know about this, Paul. It’s been a rough week for me. I needed this to pick up my spirits. From New Orleans to all of y’all….have a good weekend. It’s Mardi Gras season here. Will be going to a French Quarter parade tomorrow.

  29. Was initially thrown by the Dylan price in US dollars, but the UK symbol. …But was glad to see it was indeed a deal on Amazon US. Scooped up the deal thanks to Paul!

    1. Let me specify this a bit for those hesitating:

      Included are e.g.

DM by AC, the big coffee table book with photographs that Anton Corbijn made over several decennias of Depeche Mode, prominently featured (and heavily discussed) on this site before its first release as a collectors item.

This is the XXL-issue for the common fan, reduced from 100€ to 40€, text included in English as well as in German and French.

Also available are titles about The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie or Bob Dylan, as well as books featuring album cover art for different genres, some of those even available in different sizes.

Plus if you’re into film, graphic novels, fairy tales, paintings, graphic design, architecture or just like photographies of dogs, cities or landscapes there’s a good chance you’ll find something you’ll like there.

    2. Am I correct in my understanding that these are display copies? It wasn’t terribly clear from the listing but there is a small note at the top of the ‘Sale’ page.

I was considering buying one as a gift but somewhat hesitant as to whether the condition will reflect the price reduction?

      1. Hi GeeTeeUK,

i’m regularly buying from their sales for years (started in 2016) and have never received a book that wasn’t mint and rarely one that wasn’t shrinkwrapped (which is still the standard for new books in Germany).

The remark about being ‘display copies’ has imho more to do with messing with the price for a new book because this is usually an RRP, meaning it is a fixed price and stores are not allowed to give any discount on new books.

So to sell these books at lower prices a store must somehow explain why they aren’t “new” anymore but only “like new” and Taschen’s explanation seems to be that they have been putting otherwise perfect books on display in their shop windows…

        1. I was wondering how the company avoids complaints on the mailorder part of the sale, if indeed they were selling display copies.

I attended the in-person sales at the Beverly Hills store up until the lockdowns. They would cover the tables in mixed stacks of books. The vast majority were not shrinkwrapped. Some had minor dings to corners or spine, some had small scratches or creases to their covers or gluing errors in the binding, but none were terrible and some looked perfect. Sometimes there would be a retailer’s price sticker still on the cover.

I supposed that some were lightly damaged in shipping or had been set aside by quality control; some were retailer returns; some were remainders; some were publisher overstocks; and some were indeed display copies.

The online sale selection is much more limited than the in-store selection, and the discounts aren’t as steep, so it would make sense if the mailorder sale is mostly overstocks and remainders.

Incidentally, I’ve never seen remainder marks on Taschen books.

      1. I have the Capitol Record book as well as the Jazz and Album covers books which are beautiful. I’m a regular shopper in the Taschen sale and all the books that I’ve received have been mint.

  30. Thanks for listing the Blondie notification. I’d missed it twice due to Amazon’s “blink and you miss it” policy, but I finally managed to bag it this time. So third time lucky! Thanks, Paul!

    1. The am.De 3 for 2 sales of that era and before are legendary.

The algorithm was very fair too. You could buy 15 items (I did) and it would work out not just the cheapest 5 items but the items in cost order and delete items 1,4,7,10 and 13. It saved a fortune in postage and if you worked out your items into price bands of three around the same price you could save a bundle.

      Glory days indeed.

    2. Oh yes, that was the year I started my box set addiction… the German 3 for 2 deals firmly hooked me further.
Now, nothing, zilch. I’ve bought nothing this year at all.
These record companies with their inferior, incomplete “deluxe” box sets, and Apple with it’s subscriber-only spatial audio mixes had better beware, because so far I’ve found the detox hasn’t hurt as much as I expected. Others may find the same, and then where would the corporates be?

    3. Amazon UK 2018….

I should have bought more than the one copy of Misplaced Childhood’s LP box set at £34.99, but instead I bought three copies of Before The Dawn LP set for £24.99.

  31. Let me offer my sincere hopes and prayers that the Seal set doesn’t sell at that price either. Love the album, hate the reissues treatment.

    1. Would have purchased this set had it included a spatial audio option, but without a surround blu-ray it holds ZERO interest for me.

Curious to see just how low this will end up going. £30?

  32. The U2 4cds Songs of Surrender box is at £ 23.49 on pre-order, the 4lps is £71. Much better price than Amazon for early birds.
SEAL Deluxe Edition (LPs and cds) is at £ 61,5. Take a look at imusic.

    1. My problem with this particular release is that I’m away on release date and Amazon don’t allow you to send items to a pick up location if it’s a preorder. No problem from the release date onwards but not before!

    2. That’s a couple of times you have posted about that imusic and i don’t know where you are getting those prices from but that U2 is £28 and Seal is £74 on that site.

    3. I took a look at iMusic, assuming this is the Danish site? The U2 box is £28.49, so not much difference from Amazon UK. I guess as I’m based in the UK I’d have postage on top of that?

    4. Caveat emptor, I had the recent Jellyfish box set (the original release on coloured vinyl) on pre-order from iMusic. About three weeks after it was released, they finally admitted that they wouldn’t be able to supply it.
