Bio

Born in the 70s, a child of the 80s, an adult in the 90s. I love various kinds of music, but particularly 80s & 90s alternative & 'indie' rock/pop (esp 4AD label, also Factory Records), early-mid 80s new wave & intelligent pop (but not SAW), a lot of electronic & ambient (such as Mute & Warp labels), & most 20th Century classical (ECM New Series is a fave).

My favourite artists are Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Manic Street Preachers, PSB, New Order (esp 80s), Coil, Siouxsie/Banshees & 80s Cure, Nick Cave, Brian Eno, the late great David Bowie (esp 70s), The Beatles (& solo Lennon) - to quickly name a few off the top of my head.

I love owning physical music, always have. I love (& miss) nicely designed product, such as intelligently curated box sets made from quality materials. Also love books on record sleeve & graphic design work I admire: Vaughan Oliver & V23, Peter Saville & Factory, Russell Mills etc., plus enjoy good music related biographies & genre analysis writing.
