NewsEels / Royal Albert Hall / live album
Eels’ June show last year at London’s Royal Albert Hall was filmed and recorded and will be released in March across a number of formats.
The band – dapperly dressed for the occasion – played tracks from the then new album The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett as well as songs spanning the Eels long career.
As well as all the audio, the three-disc 2CD+DVD (and 3LP+DVD edition) of Royal Albert Hall includes the film of the concert which, as well as capturing the gig in its entirety, also features backstage footage of the band preparing to go on stage.
Royal Albert Hall is released on 30 March 2015. More information on the band’s site where there are also various bundles available on their online store.

£23.99 inc UK shipping over at the official site – pretty good considering you also get the dvd. No word on Amazon UK as of yet if it’s the purple vinyl edition. I might just go ahead and pre-order
P&P is in fact £6.50 from the official site bringing it close to the current amazon uk pre-order price.

Bert’s comment about Blu Ray against DVD is perfectly fair, however the package will likely drop around $20.00 which is ok
Caught the tour in Royal Oak Michigan, a couple of weeks before RAH, it was fab, and helped put “Cautionary Tales” in to context.
Any info, if amazon UK also sells the purple vinyl as the eels store?
DVD? Seriously? Shouldn’t something that was filmed six months ago also be available in Blu-ray? Meanwhile there’s a 1080p trailer up @ Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cavqPG7tIOY — last I checked 1080p is approximately twice the resolution of a PAL DVD.
