Jellyfish reissues up for pre-order

jelly_2

Omnivore/Universal’s Jellyfish reissues, scheduled for release early next year, are now available to pre-order.

As previously reported 1990’s Bellybutton and Spilt Milk (from 1993) will both be reissued as two-CD deluxe editions and presented in digipacks. The sets include a reasonably comprehensive overview of demos, live tracks and B-sides as bonus material, much of it only previously available on the long-deleted Fan Club box set.

The albums will be reissued on 26 January 2015.

  1. It appears that the ‘Deluxe’ version of Bellybutton has an issue:
For some unknown reason there are a few bars missing from the intro of ‘I Wanna Stay Home’ I have contacted Omnivore and am waiting a response

  2. Oh man… I forever applaud Omnivore for a bunch of reasons. But the reissue of Bellybutton is missing the two fun covers which graced the original Japanese Bellybutton + 6 release: Badfinger’s “No Matter What” and the absolutely wonderful medley of “Let ‘Em In” and “That Is Why”. If this is to avoid duplication with the Live At Bogart’s material, I understand, but to this purist, those two live covers belong there. Ah well.

I’m looking forward to these merely for the brand-new liner notes!

  3. None of the bonus tracks are on the Radio Jellyfish or Live at Bogarts CD’s. These are the remaining tracks from the Fan Club box set!

  4. Pardon my ignorance, but does anyone know if any of the bonus tracks on either of these sets overlap with the Radio Jellyfish or Live at Bogart’s CDs? Or are they all culled from the Fan Club box set? Thanks!
