  1. This one hurts…. ouch! I saw an email earlier today, September 24th, alerting me that the pre-order window was about to close for Tears For Fears’ forthcoming SDE limited edition exclusive blu-ray audio disc of their first live album in decades…alas, I just found out that the pre-order window closed last Saturday…argh!!!

I absolutely love this website, and consider it one of the finest in any area of life and art and culture, and especially regarding the fine art of appreciating physical pre-recorded music. However, I can’t always keep up to date regarding the wonderful, yet often nerve-wracking, endeavor called ‘SDE Exclusive’. Wonderful in that it includes absolutely massive numbers of audio mixes of high resolution music and bonus content, and all wrapped up in stunning slipcases and artwork. Nerve-wracking because to miss out on ultra-limited edition releases of exclusive content of your favorite musical entities is nothing less that painfully nerve-wracking!

I have purchased approximately a dozen of these exquisite editions, and was very fortunate that SDE issued a second printing of Tears For Fears’ The Tipping Point, as I had missed the initial opportunity for a first run edition of the SDE Exclusive release of their first new LP in decades.

Therefore I humbly ask/beg for Mr. Sinclair and SDE to seriously consider issuing a second edition of Tears For Fears’ forthcoming blu-ray disc and/or simply print enough additional copies of this exclusive release for those of us who missed out on the first run edition of this undoubtedly phenomenal live album of one of the most iconic musical entities in the world over the past four decades.

    Sincerely,

PS; Please consider adding the opportunity to for SDE fans to subscribe to SDE text messages regarding newly posted content, deal alerts, and especially regarding SDE exclusive releases. Also please consider adding more compact disc and cassette tape options for SDE Exclusive releases.

Thank you again for your phenomenal website, for your equally phenomenal SDE exclusive editions, and for your time and consideration regarding my above requests and concerns.

    1. There’s a button on the shop page that says “Tell me if you get more stock”. Theoretically, it should notify you when some copies become available (which usually happens). https://www.thesdeshop.com/products/tears-for-fears-songs-for-a-nervous-planet-sde-exclusive-blu-ray-audio

Also, usually when someone notices a release is available again, it gets posted on the respective threads on Quadraphonic Quad and the Steve Hoffman forums, so you could keep an eye on those as well.

      1. Many thanks for your wonderful information regarding potential forthcoming available copies of the forthcoming SDE limited edition and exclusive blu-ray release of Tears For Fears’ new live LP. Tis most appreciated, and I’ll cover the bases you mentioned.

  2. Does anyone know if the version of Mad World is like the original or like the few times they’ve made it a bit more like the Donnie Darko cover version live?

    1. On this tour “Mad World” was being performed like the original version.

The song on this tour that was the most radically different from the album was “Suffer the Children”. It was performed as a piano ballad and sung beautifully by backup singer Lauren Evans.
