I got both vinyl and cd SDEs yesterday. Those are a thing of beauty.
When it rains. Wife and brother in hospital. I may never buy another sde again. Was fun. Especially this one would have been a peach to put alongside the other epics. I owe these guys more than they’ve given me in my lifetime. God speed.
Sending good wishes.
I’m sorry to hear about your family. I lost my Dad two weeks ago, so this news was a bright moment during a difficult time.
Paul: Is there any way we could chip in and send halffull a copy?
Mine’s preordered…and the 7CD/DVD from Amazon US…looking forward to what’s next!!
Message from Amazon today. Delivery estimate of September 17th to October 7th. Sad face.
Ordered this on the first day. Really looking forward to some Ultravox in Atmos!
Thank you again for this amazing series. Looking forward to finding out what’s next.
By any chance could you get Alan Parsons Project’s Pyramid? The forthcoming box set is outrageously expensive. ($175 on Amazon. Yikes!) It would be great to have a more affordable stand-alone blu-ray option. I know in the past APP has issued stand-alone blu-rays a few months after the box sets, but this time they have switched labels. (The Pyramid box is being released by Cooking Vinyl). Also, in the past they have responded on their social media sites to inquiries about stand-alone blu-rays. This time they are being silent despite many requests from fans.
Thanks! Cooking Vinyl have said that they are doing a standalone of Pyramid, although I don’t know when.
Great news! Thank you for checking on that.
I am really looking forward to this, and am quite interested to hear Steven Wilson’s extended mixes: I wonder how his “White China” will differ from the previous remix, and I’m curious to see what he can do with “When The Time Comes,” which I unfortunately think is the weakest track on the album. “Man Of Two Worlds” is a stellar track, but I’m a bit worried since I think it is perfect as it is. I’m most eagerly awaiting “A Friend Called Desire,” a phenomenal closer which I think unfortunately ends too abruptly.
