More SDE-exclusive blu-rays available

Orbital have released the second single from Optical Delusion, their forthcoming album which is being issued exclusive via SDE on blu-ray audio.

‘Ringa Ringa (The Old Pandemic Folk Song)’ (featuring The Mediaeval Baebes) is actually the first track on the album and offers something rather different from ‘Dirty Rat’, the aggressive and incendiary collaboration with Sleaford Mods.

The SDE-exclusive blu-ray is this is #6 in the ongoing SDE Surround Series. It features this new single – and the whole album, of course – in four audio streams: Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, 96/24 stereo and as an Alternative Stereo Mix.

Additionally, the three bonus tracks exclusive to the Amazon UK CD (‘The Crane’, ‘Year of the Bat’ and ‘Lost in Time’) are also included in those same four audio streams.

Even better, an exclusive instrumental version of the entire album (and bonus tracks!) is also available in all four streams, making this eight audio stream release the most generous SDE-exclusive blu-ray to date!

Optical Delusion on SDE-exclusive blu-ray will be issued on 17 February 2023 in collaboration with London Records.   6. Another solid tune from the new album. Does anybody know what is on the exclusive 2nd cd you can get from the orbital store as no tracklist is showing yet.

    1. I wish they’d announce the tracks too as I’m torn between the SDE blu, the Amazon bonus track version and the signed store exclusive including the 2nd disc. Still it’s nice to have options and fair play to the band for giving fans said options.

      1. Even I’m not sure what they are, but I’d be very surprised indeed if they were something *not* on the blu-ray. Best guess is the three bonus tracks on a separate CD.

        1. I’ve pre ordered the amazon exclusive cd with 3 bonus tracks for £12 but if the xtra cd on orbitals store were the instrumentals I’d be tempted to pay a few quid more and get that instead. If anybody finds out the tracklisting Can they post on here. I also thought that 2023 was when orbital was re releasing their back catalogue with extra tracks / bsides/ MIXES etc

          1. Can’t find a tracklisting for the bonus CD but I can see it is only for sale with the black vinyl LP. Everyone’s favourite, the mixed media bundle.

          2. You also get it with the signed album on CD, it’s not exclusive to the vinyl.
            The SDE blu has to be the best option but if you’ve drastically mispent like I have this Christmas the Amazon CD is the cheapest option.

          3. My point was that the signed CD with bonus disc is no longer for sale on the official store. There are only two items for sale, the double black vinyl or the same with the bonus CD…
