Howard Shore / Lord of The Rings: The Complete Recordings
Very excited about this release. It’s the complete recordings of Howard Shore‘s score for Lord of The Rings The Fellowship of The Rings and is available on three CDs and a 5.1 surround sound blu-ray audio or a five-LP red vinyl package, to boot. 
Elvis Presley / The Searcher
The Searcher is the ‘musical companion’ to a new three-hour, two-part documentary on the musical development of Elvis Presley. Comes as a three-CD set or a double vinyl album.
Love / Forever Changes (50th anniversary box set)
This six-disc anniversary edition of Love‘s 1967 album features the original mono mix, alternate mixes of every track on the album, rare and unreleased singles and studio outtakes plus a hi-res stereo version and a vinyl LP.
Chicago / VI Decades Live: This Is What We Do
VI Decades Live: This Is What We Do is a five-disc Chicago live anthology consisting of previously unreleased concert recordings.
Julian Cope / vinyl reissues
Four Island-era Julian Cope albums reissued on vinyl. Saint Julian, My Nation Underground and Jehovahkill due this week, although Peggy Suicide might be subject to some delay of a week or two.
Air / Moon Safari glow-in-the-dark vinyl
It’s as clear as mud, what is happening with this release. It appeared on Amazon US a while back and the listing has all but disappeared. HMV in the UK says it came out last week (anyone got it?) and in Canada there is a listing which is due on Friday. No info from Rhino or the band…
Kylie Minogue / Golden (new album)
Kylie goes Country! Golden was recorded in Nashville and new label BMG appear to have invested a lot of money in this career reboot. Tons of variations and limited vinyl available, and the deluxe CD contains four bonus tracks.
Eels / The Construction (new album)
Eels 12th studio album The Construction is a 15-track album and available in various formats including a double yellow 33RPM vinyl, a box set (pictured above) that features a double 45RPM pink vinyl pressing, a CD and various other bits.
Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow / Memories in Rock (3CD set)
Live album derived from three UK concerts last year, Memories in Rock also featured the first new ‘Rainbow’ studio recording in over 20 years. This is available as a 2CD+DVD or 3LP vinyl set.
Lisa Stansfield / Deeper (new album)
Hate to be negative, but the cover art to Lisa Stansfield‘s new album Deeper is annoying and the box set is pointless. Hopefully the music is better.
The Courteeners / St. Jude: Rewired
Originally produced by Stephen Street, The Courteeners have re-recorded St Jude, their 2008 album, with an acoustic vibe with strings.
Various Artists / Revamp: Reimaging The Songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin
Groovy cover art may not save this collection where youngsters born after Elton John‘s glory years pretend he was a big influence of their career. The Country version sounds better.

I noticed today that the Springsteen Born To Run 39th Anniversary Edition has been reissued as one of those book things that Sony is so fond of.
This snuck under the radar and was quietly mentioned in January when Amazon put the price as £3.79. Copies are coming through this week as Amazon did honour the price. It looks like an exact re-issue of the re-issue although the hype sticker is slightly different (“Plus Bonus Live performances from 1973”) everything else bar legal looks the same, the tracklisting is the same and so on.
I just received the Eels box set today. Wonderful album. Nice box set as well including a very funny ‘E’ pen (I won’t reveal what it is!). Vinyl LP’s have both their own outer sleeve like 2 separate single LP’s. Well worth the purchase if you’re an Eels fan (and great to have both the CD and LP as my wife won’t mess with my turntable).
I am really annoyed that they have never reissued or remastered My Nation Underground on CD.

Who woulda thought?? The Courteneers record the midway point between Lisa Stansfield and Julian Cope…all in the same week!! The Courteneers album title “St Jude” coulda been a Copey title and yes, it looks like a cartoon version of the Lisa Stansfield…weird!!

Same here, email from 2 March states they will send an email when it ships, for an estimated delivery between April 19 and the 26th. Guess I’ll wait and see..

The Eels box set is quite tempting, but is there really no sleeve/ outer cover for the 2 vinyl records? Just the box set? That‘d be NOT a good idea. The Stansfield album sounds promising, I’ve listened to a few tracks on Apple Music and then ordered the signed CD from Newbury Comics. The first Courteeners album is perfect as it is. I don’t need a boring „acoustic“ version. I can’t remember any good „acoustic“ album of songs I loved being NOT acoustic. The stripped down effect doesn’t work. In my opinion in general.
Not sure re Eels. There probably is, although I agree the image doesn’t show it.
The LP sleeves are surely the two black sleeves beside the two pink vinyl records?
I’m confused… The records are sitting next to sleeves as if they’re coming out of them… Not sure what gives the impression that they’re just loosely in a box.
They just seem to have inner sleeves. There is no classic outer LP sleeve that holds both of them like a normal LP record always has. That would be awful.
My Moon Safari shows 19 – 26 April delivery. There is a 3rd party listing, so it may be that Amazon.com itself has sold out. Wouldn’t be surprised at the $14.98 price, the third party is around $57
Moon Safari still sits in my order inventory at amazon.com with estimated delivery May 2 – May 22…
my copy of moon safari says it hasnt even shipped yet, but supposed to be here by friday april 6th, i almost cancelled, but gonna wait and see
