Soundgarden / Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path
Soundgarden will release a new rarities collection in November titled Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path.
This three-CD set charts the band’s 26-year history via B-sides, instrumentals, and demos. It also features seven unreleased tracks including a brand-new recording, Storm, that was recorded in Seattle back in May with producer Jack Endino.
The Josh Graham designed packaging looks impressive, with the three CDs (dubbed ‘originals’, ‘covers’ and ‘oddities’) in clear plastic slipcases with three separate mini-jackets. Each features unique art, a booklet and inserts, allowing you to mix and match your own album graphic layout.
Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path is released on 24 November 2014.

Are there any sets available, and if so what is the asking price?
What I also would like to know if this boxset will feature the ‘official’ version of Birth Ritual. It was never on a Soundgarden release, only the demo version is found on the SuperUnknown reissue, cd-singles from the 90’s and the like. Never that cool version, which is only to be found on the soundtrack of the movie Singles.
I’m with you Runicen. Considering the terrible remastering sound quality for the Superunknown 20th Anniversary super deluxe set and also Telephantasm, I think I’ll wait and read the reviews before I consider ordering this. Been a fan of Soundgarden since the “Louder Than Love” CD was released.
This is a neat looking set, but there are a couple of things I am a bit “iffy” on about it.
1.) With the audio quality of the Superunknown deluxe issue (even the BluRay) muddied all to hell and back, is more of the same coming here?
2.) As of the moment, the pre-order price for a three disc set is just under $60 on Amazon.com. That seems a little steep given the content offered. I’d be much more enthused at $40-$45 on the high end. Granted, it may drop, but it doesn’t exactly leave me fired up.
Excellent to finally see a re-release of that “Dusty” remix and Big Bottom!
