  1. Is it just me or is there way too much bass in the mix. It also sounds very compressed. CD2 is obsolete since I do not like the new mixes too much.
    Does the stereo mix on the blu ray sound better?

  3. This is a surprisingly good album actually, every song is good and worth the purchase. No filler, a real big improvement over their last two albums, and the atmos mix is just perfect to me.
    A must buy if you ask me.

    1. Agree … my Blu-ray arrived today in the States and just finished my first listen. I don’t have an Atmos setup but the fold-down to my 5.1 is excellent. Not a bad song in the bunch!

  4. I see the blu-ray has now appeared on the PSB website store – although of course, ordering from there rather than here on SDE doesn’t get you the rather sublime matt cover (which I think is lovely)

    1. Yes, because of an issue with the Irish Tax Authority friends in the EU are incorrectly being asked to pay import duties. The SDE shop is IOSS registered (International One Stop Shop) so this should not happen. For this reason we have temporarily paused EU shipping. We think it’s now resolved but need to wait a few more days to test it’s now working correctly. Apologies.

      1. Haaa so here is the reason why I was asked to pay import taxes for the Mark Knopfler bundle..
        I see the Luther Vandross BR was shipped today, I hope the Wham! bundle will follow soon.

  7. Recieved bly ray and 2 cd today from the SDE shop, thank you for the swift service. Love the finish on the slipcase. Not going to play until Saturday as I attend the Manchester Q&A tomorrow night, so want to hear the album at the event.

        1. I don’t suppose the playback event ventured into surround sound. 2 channel only I assume. A playback in an Atmos equipped venue (cinema?) would work pretty well.

  10. Nice slipcase. It’s a beautiful cover, very stylish and classy. Possibly their best cover of an album so far.
    My mailbox is red hot this week. Just got Luther Vandross (playing right now, it’s brilliant!) and later this week the Wham mega-bundle and Pet Shop Boys. Can’t wait!!
