    Level 42 ‘5 Classic Albums’ set is currently in Sainsbury’s stores incorrectly marked up at £3.
    Not just a one-off error in my local store, either – I’ve seen it in a couple more stores too.
    Took mine to the checkout where the till came up at £9, stuck my bottom lip out and did the sad eyes look, and the member of staff amended the till back to £3.
    Bargain!

  5. Why does the Level 42 set skip over Standing In The Light? (and, related I suppose, why has this always been the hardest-to-find on CD for the same price as their other Polydor albums)?

        1. Wednesday morning and still no sign of it. So much for a Tuesday delivery!

          Looking at the tracking page. Real World seem to have printed off the labels then done bugger all with them.

            My LPs arrived yeserday at lunchtime, and I spent the evening and this morning trying to download the 96/24 files to my tablet (which meant removing stuff to make room for the zip files then removing the zip files after un zipping in order to make room for the next download)

            This is the first time I have downloaded such high res files and I was surprised at how big they are – approx 1.5GB each.

            While waiting for the downloads to sort out I put the 2nd (Scratch) album on the turntable. All sounded fine until I put side 3 (Indigo) on – lots of surface noise at the start. I adjusted the tone arm weight and cleaned the stylus but it still persisted.

            I’m going to listen to the other LPs over the weekend and decide if I need to return them. All LPs showing as out of stock at Peter Gabriel.com, so may just sit on them if they can’t be replaced. The high res files sound great. I bought the first four albums in the 80’s on either nasty cheap vinyl or cassette so this is a real treat.

            If PG has any influence with his old friend Kate Bush maybe he can persuade her to give her first four albums the same treatment.
