More Record Store Day previews, and Demon Music are issuing two seven-inch vinyl box sets. Mod Classic 45 and Punk Classic 45 each contain ten heavyweight seven-inch vinyl singles with an appropriate selection of tunes and artists from each genre.
The Mod box features artists like the Small Faces, Lee Dorsey, The Spencer Davis Group and The Pretty Things, while the Punk collection boasts tracks from The Damned, The Mekons, Ian Dury, X Ray Spex and more. These come in groovy rigid card outer boxes.
These are available at an independent record shop near you on Saturday 16 April 2016.

So that’s 2 reissues for “Bingo Master’s Breakout” by The Fall at RSD – the standalone of the original EP on Superior Vinyl and now this.
Of course, Demon are wrong, the track is just called “Bingo Master”, the EP was called “Bingo Master’s Breakout”. In fairness to them, several Fall releases make the same mistake.
sorry, Superior Viaduct, not Superior Vinyl.
Heavy weight 45s? Behave!
thats’s what I LOVED when i first started buying UK singles circa 1977, here in the US…didn’t need an adaptor!!!! I really like the design of the Mod box sleeves tho…..
Nothing amazing within the punk box, all the originals can be picked up easily and in the main cheaply, and where are the picture sleeves?
Good point. All the original singles had small holes and didn’t need adapters.
Every 7″ I bought way back then had a big hole ( Germany). Small holes might have been a UK special.
Oh, so there’s a market now for those old centre hole adapters then?
