Pepe Deluxe / Queen Of The Wave deluxe edition

Finnish electronic band Pepé Deluxe released Queen Of The Wave – “an esoteric pop opera in three parts” – early last year to great acclaim. Finnish producer James Spectrum and Swedish composer Paul Malmstöm are the architects behind this unique, electic mix of hip hop, break beat, ‘downtempo’ and sixties psychedelia.

A three-disc deluxe edition followed in November 2012 which added a CD of bonus audio and a DVD, and the whole package is an aural and visual feast. The DVD even features an ‘extras’ folder with a complete set of WAV files of instrumentals of the album tracks, plus sound files for break beats and samples used for the recording.

  3. I’d like to win because other than Hanoi Rocks, I’m really lacking in Finnish artists within my collection… and besides, you ignored me at Christmas!

  4. I’d like to win this DELUX version because Its such a great album, Great tunes and great production. I knew nothing of this band when I got the original album and instantly loved it. The packaging is superb too with graphics in a psychedelic Edwardian stylee. Oh yes!

  8. I’d like to win it so I can ‘pay if forward’ and give it my friend Max. He put me onto ‘Beatitude’ and that album has taken a wonderful thrashing. So Max deserves a thank-you gift.
