  13. I’ve always loved Van Halen, especially the Roth years. This box set, like the previous box sets made in this style last year as well as this year, are quite fantastic. I hope I win, but good luck to everyone else as well! :D

  26. Am more a fan of the Sammy Hagar-era Van Halen but it would be great to have this box because the music on these albums is linked in so many ways to my (mis-spent) youth!

  29. With the Arrival of the first album in my early years and the 1984 album the soundtrack of my highschool graduation IN 1984, Van Halen are THE party band of my coming of age. There is no other version of ‘Halen worth discussing in my view! :-) If I don’t win this, I will buy it!

  36. well, you really got me. winning this would explain where all the good times have gone, which is not Panama, as Big BadBill speculated. if i win there will probably be an eruption of me deciding to hang ’em high, to be admired as i was dancing in the street. Van Halen are perfect for dancing the night away, or indeed just a sunday afternoon in the park. everybody wants some of this, i’ll wait but i might aswell jump as surely it will be women and children first.

  59. Going to see them in Sydney in April, and cannot wait! The last time they were here ( the only time ) it was with Gary Cherone, so we have seen Van Halen without Dave, Dave without Van Halen, Sammy with The Waboritas — and finally, VH with Dave! Bring it on!

Why do I want Van Halen, well as a long time fan, and also a fan of what they did in promoting two great Kinks songs-so well that most people I know think Van Halen wrote You Really Got Me and Where have all the good times gone! I have a few of their greatest hits but would love to have a COMPLETIST version of their first 6 CD’s. Bill

  110. I just dig this band so much I went and saw them last summer in Buffalo,NY and my girlfriend and we were dancing and raising hell. It was a blast and this boxset would be an awesome win for us to reminisce about our fabulous weekend. Thanks for the opportunity for a great contest for one of the coolest american bands of rocknroll. Yes we would love to win.
