With a semi french band name, which later migrate to a famous german (non musical) band, The Auteurs brought to me some kind of musical love, in total contradiction of the name of their leader (Haines means “hates” in french).
Showgirl still smashes into my ears from its very beginning althought I’m not a student anymore. Loved that first album, loved the following work, and be glad to get it on vinyl, which should be fair in a way as I bought every single & album released at that time on cd :-)

Awesome. If I win maybe I can finally let go of the grudge I’ve carried for the “friend” who disappeared with my “New Wave” vinyl 10 years ago. Cheaper than therapy!
