Thanks to our friends at Cherry Red Records we have two Luke Haines vinyl albums to give away. The recently reissued Auteurs debut New Wave and the 1996 Baader Meinhof album are the records in question. Both are newly remastered, pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl and come with an MP3 download card.

This competition is open to all until 12 noon (UTC/GMT) on Sunday 6 April. To be in with a chance of winning simply:

  14. I sure would like to win those 2 brilliant albums that I sold years ago in the record store I still work in right now. The Auteurs album was a big success at the time !

  15. Two great album and to me New Wave is a masterpiece. Thanks to Cherry Red for the expanded reissue wich makes me love this album more and more. And now fingers crossed

  39. With a semi french band name, which later migrate to a famous german (non musical) band, The Auteurs brought to me some kind of musical love, in total contradiction of the name of their leader (Haines means “hates” in french).
    Showgirl still smashes into my ears from its very beginning althought I’m not a student anymore. Loved that first album, loved the following work, and be glad to get it on vinyl, which should be fair in a way as I bought every single & album released at that time on cd :-)

  52. I would really love to win these as i have recently bought a second hand record player and as i cannot afford the latest 180g vinyl albums it would be really good and fascinating to hear the sound quality particulary as i bought both on CD years ago

  77. Ja! Ikke, ikke, ikke!! Recently i got my dad’s recordplayer. Even after 30 years not in use, it still played fine. Now it needs new vinyl to play!!!

  101. This reissue campaign brings back not only an essential ’90s classic in New Wave, but also a hard-to-find deep nugget in Haines’s Baader Meinhof project. Haines & the Auteurs have been high on my favorites list since the release of New Wave, and I want to win this contest so I can have these two gems on vinyl in my collection for the first time!
